Seems as if I can only have one device with a single email address. I'm not really sure why I can't have more, why would this possibly be a restriction? You'd sell more devices if people were able to link more than one to an email. Simple fix.
I think it would nice if Fitbit looked at things from a few perspectives.
This would be one device to a family. The change would be in the software. Kind of like a drop down menu. You pick who is using the mobile device, software, or tracker. You could have a profile for either each tracker, mobile device, or person. Heck, you could have more than one profile per person that way.
I agree completely with CMC379 Surge is bulky and not the most fashion statement. Not comfortable enough to wear 24/7. It would be ideal to be able to use Surge while casual dressing and except size and wear the One or Flex at other times and not have to remove and add devices and loose info. I love the one because it's hidden if you're going to a wedding or special evening out also easy to wear while sleeping.
Over one year later and this still isn't an as option. Please let us use multiple devices and merge the data on one account. One times I want to use a clip on tracker, and a sometimes a a wrist one. I should be a able to interchange them during the day and have them both and effortlessly r to my house account.
With the variety of trackers available and the wide array of features between basic "hidden under clothes" to a full sports/GPS watch, this feature is growing in necessity. I am holding off on purchasing a Surge until this feature is available since I don't want to have to pair and replace each time I change from my "daily" tracker to a "GPS" tracker.
I want to use my surge while at the gym and working out on the weekend, but would like to use my flex on the days I want to wear a fashionable watch. I hope FITBIT is reading all these posts and will come up with a way to do this soon.
Agreed! I can't believe this original post is from the Dec of 2013 and we're now in 2015 and this hasn't happened. When I run I'd like to wear the Surge for the GPS capability but don't want to wear two watches, so I like the Charge HR for everyday and gym. Looks like many of us would buy multiple devices if given the option to have everything sync to one user account. Since my first Fitbit (the Flex) I've become obsessed with my steps and I'm loving it.
I can only imagine their sales are very good; therefore they are not addressing this issue. What else could it be? Maybe they are in delivering to owners of existing devices programs they can charge extra for and not worry about additional devices being sold? At this point who knows.
I coordinate an employee wellness program for a major university and we offer a Fitbit to employees after completing a lifestyle change program. We use the Flex in the program so I started with a Flex after personally using several other tracking devices. You have a grrat producy and the Dashboard is the most user friendly and informative of any I have see. I recently upgraded to a Fitbit Charge HR as I was interested in tracking my heart rate. I think you should be able to have more than one Fitbit device linked to an account that way when I am charging my Charge HR I could grab my Flex and use it for tracking my steps. Right now I have to wait or feel like I am not getting credit for all of my steps. The one drawback I see with all of the Fitbit products is you have to charge them fairly often. Other tracking products not as often or such as the Vivo fit etc. as they have a watch battery.
I have a Flex and now a Surge tracker, like some of the other posts. Please consider making multiple tracker support a priority. It works with the Aria scale, why not allow multiple trackers as well.
I work in a hospital and there are times when I can't wear my charge Hr and therefore lose steps or if I'm pushing a patient in a wheelchair or stretcher I don't get credited for steps. This is the time when I would also wear my zip but you can't have two devices on one account. Love the features of the charge hr but hate the fact that I lose steps and can't have two devices.
Many of us Fitbit owners/ users are in the same predicament not being able to sync two Fitbit devices to one account.?this request has been made so so many times and I feel the company is not prioritizing this issue. I returned my very expensive Surge for this reason and sync issues.
I have been wearing a Zip for 16 months. I was given a Flex as a gift in early March. I do a great deal of walking both on the treadmill and also on the trail. The Flex does not work very well on the treadmill. My life style is such that it would be wonderful to have both of my Fitbit devices active at the same time on my account so that I could alternate as needed.
I would absolutely love this feature as well! I currently have a One, but would like to purchase a Charge HR. I originally purchased the One because I love that I can wear it discreetly, and it fit my needs at the time of purchase. Now that I have become more active, I am very interested in being able to see my heart rate activity as well. There will be some days that I don't mind wearing a Charge HR all day, but there will also be days when I need to wear my One. I would really love to be able to have multiple trackers!
With the new SURGE device it would be great to use both the ONE and the SURGE on one account. There are many times you don't want a watch on (golfing when you wear a Golf GPS watch for example) and would be great to switch back to the small ONE device we already own. Actually purchased a SURGE and returned it just for this reason!
