Allow multiple devices on the same account (Sense/Versa series, Inspire, Charge & Luxe)

Be allowed to have both a Fitbit Versa and a Fitbit Ionic on the same account so you can easily switch between them.

Hi @Meldrewman, thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to allow multiple devices on the same account. I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has been updated as "Under Consideration". I hope to see you around.

It's absolutely insane that this still hasn't been addressed.

It was time for my wife and me and update our watches and trackers and, mostly because of your ongoing refusal to fix this, we did not buy Fitbits. That's two more previously loyal customers lost because of this. That's multiple device sales that could have been yours but went to somebody else instead.

When i had the charge2 and charge3, both were connected to the app. And switching between then was super easy. But i bought the charge4 and everything changed. Now it take like 20 minutes to switch, with ALOT of frustrations.

Seven years and almost 2000 comments and you still have not taken this suggestion.  Whew.  Does Fitbit actually care what it's customers want?  This is a no brainer, please implement this suggestion.  Clearly people want to give you our hard earned money for multiple premium devices on one account.  Take the hint

Hi @Lotje1990, thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to set multiple devices on the same account. I know how important it is for you to have this option. I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has been updated as "Under Consideration". I hope to see you around.

This feature should gain a lot more attention by Fitbit. Actually I own two Fitbit Tracker (Ionic and Sense) which work perfectly. And I don't understand that I can't use them in parallel under the same account. As some of the other comments say this would help Fitbit sell more devices and have more customers stay on the Fitbit universe.

Im following this thread for 2 years and nothing changed. It seems that Fitbit doesnt care about their customers needs.
Ive tested Garmin, and Im moving there. There I can have linked from old trackers up to brand new to the same account. I will rather spend my earned money on Garmin. To bad. I liked Fitbit.

Tanto Jogger.  I'm with you as well.  I've already moved over to Garmin.  I don't have multiple trackers, but at this point its the principle.  At least if I go get another Garmin, I know both can be on the same account. Was such a shame, been using Fitbit since 2013 and I did really like it.

I agree with you. FitBit has ignored this important feature to allow
multiple devices on the same platform application. I believe they fail to
properly advise consumers of the issue before we purchase additional
devices only to find out after the fact. (There may be some liability with
that.)
I have waited a long time as well for FitBit to correct, but they haven't.
I will be switching to Garmin as well

Yes, FitBit's ongoing inability/unwillingness to address this issue defies all logic and common sense.  Too bad - they make some really cool devices, and it would be such fun to own several and switch off, get new ones as they come out, etc.  It's like the powers that be at FitBit have a total blind spot to this issue.  Their customers have been requesting this for several years, and they just don't hear us.

Hey Fitbit - how am I supposed to track my steps while my Sense, Ionic, other watch is charging.   Or, how do I track stuff when I am wearing a real watch.  People do this.  The response to just change trackers in the app is a big inconvenience.   May be if the team that is in charge of development and road mapping could see how many people are jumping ship they could see how important this is.  I have a One and a Sense attached I can do some of what everyone is asking for, but the One is no longer made.  I also have an Ionic - cant have both connected.  The reality of the situation is that someone is too lazy to read the comments that are posted, or the moderator moves things to "under consideration" and things are lost in an abyss.  With Google as the parent company, I don't see why they cannot get this glitch fixed.

@YojanaFitbit - I just saw they are coming out with a new Fitbit called the Fitbit Luxe.. is anyone who now already has the Charge 3(or4), Inspire, Versa or Sense really going to buy another Fitbit if they can't add it to their account? I now own the Alta hr, Charge2 and 3, Versa and Inspire 2... I am able to interchange my Alta, charge 2 and Inspire 2 (or Versa or Charge 3) but since it's too time consuming to keep switching, my Versa and Charge 3 sit in a drawer unused 😞

Totally agree - my Charge 3 now totally useless - can only use my Charge 2 with my Sense.  Maddening.  Surely, all it needs is a software tweek!

Allow multiple “smart watch” devices to connect to a single account or bring back new trackers that can sync to my account in addition to my “smart watch” device. If I’m logged in and give permission I should be able to connect whatever kind of devices I want to use.

Thanks for explaining, you will be under this post for a feature they dont
care to deliver and has frustrated the most loyal customers who are
actually the ones that buy a second device. 4 fitbit devices I have bought
and those will be the last ones. Actually I bought a scale and mi first
decision was not to buy fitbit's.

For someone with a fitbit sense, if u swap out the sense and replace it with a charge 3/4/inspire etc and subsequently swap back to the sense, when adding the sense back again do u lose all the settings u setup in the sense itself forcing you to redo everything all over again?  Things like setup for exercises, alarms, sense controls, etc?

--------------------------------------

I just experimented by swapping to a charge 3 and back to the sense and the settings on the sense itself were retained, but app settings via fitbit app store were lost (i.e. weather locations, agenda, etc). Also have to re-pair sense controls. I didn't pay attention to clock faces so not sure if those were reset as well, not a huge deal tho for me as I just use the stock sp02 face.

I recently bought a charge 4 on sale but may end up returning it since swapping back and forth isn't seamless. Primarily bought it for more accurate heart rate sensor and active zone mins (really wish they'd bring azm to charge 3 as then no need to upgrade to the 4)

I want to have my Charge 3 and my Versa 3 on the same account. I am not happy that I had to take my Charge 3 off my account in order to set up my Versa 3. Please fix this!!!

Hi @kemmcroth, thanks for sharing this suggestion about being able to setup more than one of our latest devices to the same Fitbit account with us. This idea was already requested in the Feature Suggestions board, so I’ve moved your post here. This will help us to keep the forums organized and make sure the suggestions don't get confused, or split a popular vote. Click on the thumbs-up to show your support.

Ya, join the club. I would recommend Garmin devices. The fitness data isn't
as good, but you can have all your devices on a single account.

Be able to have more than one fitbit tracker associated with one account, ie. Fitbit Sense and Fitbit Ionic
According to Fitbit, you can't connect multiple devices that use the Fitbit App Gallery to one account. For Fitbit Charge 3, Fitbit Charge 4, Fitbit Ionic, Fitbit Inspire series, Fitbit Sense, and Fitbit Versa series, only connect one of thes

No matter where you put it, it's ignored. I'm considering moving to Garmin as so many others have done.

So let me get this straight, this has been "under consideration" for 7 years?  Why does Fitbit not listen to customers?  This would mean more sales and customer loyalty, but you are driving us away.  No one wants to go through the install/uninstall each time they change device.  I have been doing that for a few weeks now and it stinks.  I don't want to go to Garmin but you are giving me no choice. This is a straight forward software update.  DO IT!
