I have a Versa that fades in and out, despite multiple attempts to fix it. I purchased a new Versa 2. I would still like to be able to wear my old Versa to my messy nursing job, and save my Versa 2 for home wear. Sadly, I can’t have both the Versa and the Versa 2 on the same account!! Is Fitbit working on this???
Hi @SueCCRN, thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to add more Fitbit trackers or watches in the same Fitbit account. I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has been updated as "Under Consideration". You can learn more about it here. I hope to see you around.
@Goegoe, if all you're asking is when is this going to get done... Then the moderators are going to merge the threads to make them easier to manage.
Think about it, it's easier for them to assess that this is a feature that people want by looking at the length of the thread than it is by counting five times as many individual threads in the forum that are basically requesting the same thing.
I know that you feel passionately about this particular feature, have you voted for it yet? I didn't see your name among those who posted, but it's a pretty long list. I think that ultimately you may be able to more effectively affect the outcome by casting your vote rather than:
Continuing to create a new post in the forum asking for (or venting about) the same thing.
Having a Fitbit Moderator merge your post with this thread.
I totally understand that. But this is the fourth email that all your doing is moving my comment. Others told me they suggested this over 4 years ago. Fitbit obviously doesnt take these comments to heart and dont care what their customers need. Not wasting any more time or money on this company. Feel free to delete my comment I'm done.
There's a famous quote (sometimes attributed to Einstein): "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
If you know that if you're (vs. 'your') going to post asking for (or venting about) theverysamething, then they're simply going to merge it with this thread. For you to continue to do it and having them continue to move it is only going to bring you more frustration.
The most effective way to make your voice heard is to affect this number:
I've made my voice heard by voting for this feature. Trust me, I want to see this implemented; I'd like to use my Versa 2 and Inspire (the only modern tracker that supports clip-on) in the same account. I asked you on my last post, have you voted for it yet? To which you didn't respond.
What I have learned from watching the features on Fitbit over the years is that they don't even have a status for "Under Development":
To use an idiom, Fitbit generally "keeps their cards close to their chest" when it comes to announcements. Feature status go directly from "Under Consideration" to "Released". And if you observe the threads, there isn't even an announcement or updates (other than "It's now available.").
And no, your continuing to post thread after thread asking for the same thing (and having them merge it) is not likely to change their policy. For better or worse, each of us only get one vote; no amount of venting here in the forums is going to get us more votes.
The Good News: I think it's promising that the status is "Under Consideration"; it means that Fitbit is evaluating it. Like everyone else, Fitbit has finite time and resources and need to evaluate the benefit and demand (based on number of votes) vs. the cost (how much time and resources will it take to implement). To make a point, 'taking out trash' vs. 'replacing cabinets' may both be desirable, but very different when it comes time and resources.
The Bad News: There's no way for us to tell when (or if) this will become available.
Totally agree with you @PureEvil , everyone needs to cast their vote for this feature to help get it moving along. I have 3 Fitbits and would like to use them all on the app without having to do a replacement install each time I would like to switch between them. I like to be tracking everything that I do but they do need to be charged, so having another one to wear during the charging to helpful.
@PureEvilpeople have been voting for years, I myself in 2018 and many people before me. You got the same answer I got, it's been put elsewhere under consideration. It would be nice to know how many have voted and what the current position is.
This would be a very nice thing to be able to do. I've waited years but ever since the arrival of the Smartwatches, the ability to have multiple devices in one account and use them interchangeably went away. It is somewhat disappointing. I have an Ionic that just sits on the shelf because it is too much trouble to switch back and forth.
I've just discovered that Inspire and Inspire HR are considered by the app to be the same device, after buying a **ahem**ed Inspire for use when charging my HR. This is beyond a joke. They're DIFFERENT PRODUCTS. Fitbit is a bit**ahem**.
I had the Versa 2 and wanted to be able to switch between the Versa 2 and Ionic watches but when trying to sync my new Ionic it disconnected my Versa 2.
Hi @JeffC743, thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to have multiple devices on the same account. I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has been updated as "Under Consideration". You can learn more about it here. I hope to see you around.
I am in agreement with the group: please add and allow users to switch between the Versa & Ionic watches just like you could do with all of your other trackers. I am also considering returning the Versa Or Necking myself if this option is not added in the short term future.
Looking at this problem, seem,s to go way back to 2013 ! Fitbit look like they couldn,t give a Flying Fortune cookie about the problem with there products serviceability to us people who pay the way for there products ! This is just a small thing that we ask of them to make things so much moor practical to use, But Oh No who gives a ----. For Us ! Been a long standing problem how about doing something to fix it Before you start Losing a lot of Loyal customers..... Some sort of reply would probably be a good idea !! From a long standing customer....
