Allow night shift reminders to move (or customized hours)

Please allow night shift hours to be selected for reminders to move. I work 7p to 7a at the hospital and the current feature only allows half of my shift to be selected. It doesn't recognize those 12 hours as consecutive hours. It would also be helpful to select different time frames for different days. I work nights 3 days a week, but the rest of the week I am awake and active during the day. I'd like to customize the reminders for certain hours on specified days.

Thank you for asking. Maybe if everyone calls and ask something will get done. There is no need for them to stall on the fix.

I think it should just track from when your sleep tracker knows you are awake. I work a varying schedule so some days my awake hours are completely different from the previous day.

Even though my work schedule is pretty set (3rd Shift), my active time varies each day depending on what I need to do in my off hours.

Personally a fix infers that something is broken.. Since the server is working the way it was meant to work, IE: not broken, I would call this request an enhancement

Makes sense to me. However since it has been a problem for the easiest fix of making it 24 hours, I will settle for 24 hour.

Already have done that on 2nd or 3rd day after release. Maybe everyone should call.

That's what I would like to see. I have an erratic sleep schedule also, and
it would be much easier if it just recorded our activities while we were
awake. Fitbit wants us to get more sleep and have a sleep schedule but I
get less sleep because I have to set the alarms to exercise during my
"active hours", which in reality may be the time that I'm sleeping!!! I am
going to warn people before buying a Fitbit ChargeHR, that if you work a
night shift, or a swing shift and don't have a regular sleep schedule this
is not the device for you!!!

I couldn't disagree more! We're asking to have access to all the features of Fitbit just like people who work a day schedule. We aren't asking for anything extra, just to be treated equal.

Yes, yes, and yes. We all have different lifestyles. Depending what schedule my husband has I go on that schedule. One wk we can be on days another nights. So get real Fitbit and change to a twenty four hour schedule.

This reminder is a great addition to the functionality of the product, and although I might log the least amount of activity while at work (the overnight shift), this is really when I need the reminders. I've set an hourly alarm to remind me for the hours it won't accept as consecutive, but it's obnoxious to turn off 4 lagging alarms (in addition to the activity reminder) on the days that I do not work. Non-24'ers of the working world can def identify with this feature's misalignment and how obnoxious it is to work around normal 9-5 civilization, much less your tiny wrist coach.

Hi I work 3rd shift and love my fitbit charge hr, however some of the new features that have been recently rolled out are unavailable for my use due to the fact that you can't set the hourly activity goals for an overnight period. Also my sleep schedule changes for the weekend to have somewhat of a normal life so if it was possible to implement an hourly goal for an over night period it would be great if it could be individualized to the day too!

I suggest that instead of having the 250+ step hours having to be consecutive (which is frequently not possible thus not getting the encouraging "green" accomposhment for the day), that the device simply track the number of 250+ step hours in a 24 hour period.  That way if I set my goal at 10 such hours, I can achieve iot whether or not they occur consecutively or if they occur early one day and late the next.

Also suggest use of red/green or smile/frown on the weekly updates.  Always get one of each as there is always a best and worst day.  What's the point?  Suggest not using frown at all if one meets one's goal (e.g., 10,000 steps per day) every day of the week.

You can go into your hourly steps goal setitng and set it for ANY period of time up to 14hrs a day.
But, I agree on the sleep thing. Some people can't adhere to a daily schedueI. I think it would be helpful if you could just set the sleep goal for a certain number of hours and it would wake you up once you've reached that set number of hours, regardless of what time you go to bed.

Actually you cannot set the hourly goals for ANY 14hr period, it will not allow you to confirm after choosing any time that spans across the midnight hour

Totally agree. I work nights every third week or so, and it would be great if you could set a target out of 24. Some of my friends have also commented on the restricted activity hours.

I NEED this. I have my time zone set to Singapore so the hours work out to be +12...so 6pm in Florida is 6am the next day in Singapore... It registers me waking up at 6am when in reality it's 6pm est. not sure if I am explaining it right but regardless a REAL fix would be great because my charge he shows tomorrow's date as a result since its tomorrow in Singapore

Just adding my voice to the apparent masses here already. Please Fitbit, sort this out - it's a lovely feature but practically useless for those of us who don't work scheduled hours. We're probably the ones who need it most for what stability we can get. Thank you.

Amen! I just found out two more people in our church has gotten fitbit's. I'm going to speak to them about this as one has already mentioned that she wishes they had their hours set for 24 hours a day. I'll get in touch with them and let him know about this forum so that they can vote too. If you learn of any new Fitbit users or even if you know some that's been using and haven't voted yet speak to them about this. We've got to get more people involved. We need our fitbits to adjust to our schedules, no matter what they are!
