Allow removal of "Music control" icon on Versa

Since updating this morning, when I swipe down the music control icon appears.  I do not use my fitbit for music at all and have no use for this icon.  Am told it cannot be modified/removed by fitbit support.  It is distracting and unnecessary and I want it gone!

Please get rid of the music control!!! It is very invasive and quite annoying to have to swipe away every time I want to see notifications!

Add my name to the “annoyed and irritated with this feature”.  
I don’t use my Fitbit for music to begin with.  
I’m really frustrated with it and might get a different brand of fitness watch on Black Friday.  
It would be decent of them to at least offer an option to turn it off or remove it from that screen.

For what it’s worth, I tweeted them.  Companies seem to be more concerned & quicker to reply when you tweet the issue.  Maybe y’all can try too.

I have the same issue. I do not use the music app on my versa, I removed the app yet it seems to appear every time I swipe down for my notifications. Please advise how to remove this feature, it is truly annoying.

Unfortunately Fitbit told me it is part of the new update. It cannot be removed.

Yes...totally agree with having the option to delete the drop down music controls!!!  Fitbit is forcing me to use an option that I don't want to use...it should always be an option to use/not use a function!!  Please make the Versa more user friendly!!  The drop down music controls are very frustrating since I never use them...and If I needed them, I'd activate them...but being forced to have to deal with them when I don't want/use them is very frustrating!  Please at least give us the option...you give options for all other functions...why not this one?  With all that being said...LOVE my Versa...but you can improve...thanks!

I agree with all the comments. This has to be one of the most annoying things ever done to the Fitbit. I cant believe the programmers at
Fitbit didn't discuss with each other before implementing, and if they did they all need to look for new jobs if they think this was a great idea. Apparently none of them use the fitbit daily or you would think they would have found it annoying too

I also hate this feature. It interferes every time I try to check my messages. That was one of the reasons I got this watch in the first place. Please, please remove it or let us opt out of it.

Good Lord, yes! Let us have the option to CHOOSE to be annoyed by the music drop down!! Such a stupid feature.
Fitbit is skating on extremely thin ice (I’m also one of the folks whose Versa is more of a paperweight than anything else since ios13).

AGREED!!! PLEASE REMOVE IT! It’s the most annoying feature I’ve ever seen on any device I’ve ever used! PLEASE listen to us and remove this feature!!! I’m going bananas over here!!!

I HATE this feature.  I think HATE is an understatement.

Google Play isn't an option for music so this drop down is completely worthless to me and even if it was, I can get to music by swiping left.  I do not like the pay feature, I just want to see notifications without this dang drop down.

Highly suggest this gets removed!!!  I have yet to meet someone with a Versa that actually uses or likes this feature.

This icon serves no purpose on my fitbit versa, but more importantly it covers my messages every time I try to view them.  Frustrating.  Thank you.
