Allow to schedule Always-On Display on Versa 3/Sense

It does not appear to be possible to schedule the hours that the Always-On display is active.
To set off-hours when always-on display automatically turns off.

I agree that this request would be extremely helpful and would like to see it on the Sense as well.  This would help extend the battery life by maybe even a full day.

I don't know if its the same as what you're looking for, but I found Sleep Mode does turn off the Always Active display, and you can schedule it to turn on and off at specific times. It might not work for everything, but it's at least a way to automate turning it off overnight, when you don't need it eating the battery.

Hi Girrlkitty,

Thank you for the suggestion, that setting is better than nothing, which is what I had before.

Once again, thank you.

Scheduling feature for 'always on' feature. Reducing nightime light when trying to fall asleep and saving battery life.

Each night when going to sleep I disable it and each morning I enable it again - would be nice for it to be automatic to turn on/off at a given time. Could also help as a very gentle go-to-bed reminder 😉

Hi @mortonboots, thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to customize Always-On Display on Sense. Thanks for sharing your feedback. I've moved it into a similar request.  A lot of users are asking for this option, I hope we receive updates soon.

This feature that was on the Versa 2 was amazing. You could go to sleep without losing the capability of getting notifications. If you use Sleep Mode, it disables all notifications and calls until the scheduled time is up. I would rather not miss a phone call, especially if it could be life threatening or of other importance. It is a pain to have to turn the Always On display off every night.

Can you add custom times for the always on display so it can be turned on during wake hours but off during sleep hours?

I’d like you to implement an option under display settings to disable the “Always On” screen while I’m sleeping.

A submenu should be added in settings to customize the "always on" time of the day, so that it will automatically shut down for the night and turn on in the morning.

For example I would set it to turn on at 7am and shut down at 11pm daily.

It might already exist - try in the watch Settings making a sleep schedule.

Hi,

Please include the schedule opton for always on display as well so that we can save battery life when we are asleep and also to get any important notifications during night time as well, because there is an option to schedule sleep time but it completely stops the notifications as well, which i dont want to do, i want important notifications but also want to schedule the always on display to increase the battery life as well.

Thank you

Regards,

SID

Hello! Just got my versa 3 hooked up and was driving myself nuts looking for the setting. Has this been implemented yet? Or are there plans too?

Hi @DocJD101 - You set Always On on/off in Quick Settings [swipe watch face to the right on a Versa 3].

In your Versa 3 watch Settings, Quiet modes, set a sleep schedule for the period when you want it off.

During Sleep mode you won't get vibrations or notifications or automatic screen wake, so push the button or double tap the screen to wake it.

That may give you close to what you want.

That is how I already have it setup, I was hoping for automation like I had on my Samsung watch. I appreciate the tip however sir.

Same applicable to other watches (e.g., Versa 4).
To increase battery life, it would be helpful to turn on/off always on display on schedule.
