Please at least give us the option of removing the recipe suggestions. Im seriously considering moving App and tracker.

Hi - Just a quick product feedback. I have really enjoyed the last two Fitbits I have had. I don’t like the new recipe option in the calorie tracker. This will play a big role in my decision to get another Fitbit this month or switch to an Apple Watch. If there is no way to delete the recipes I will probably switch to Apple Watch. Thank you for listening. - Michael

I hate this feature so much! Google is trying to squeeze as much money out of Fitbit and that includes premium. You would think the daily dump of data Google thrives with would be enough but they need more and more 🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑 This feature slows the food section down so much, it's harder to scroll up and down!

How is this in anyway useful to an app user who is logging in their calories?!?

Noticed something? No positive feedback on this ‘feature’.

People are registering/counting calories for a reason and shouldn’t have to be forced to look at these advertisements.

I agree with all of the above - and as a user since the first Fitbit gen there is no ‘please’ from me.

I demand this ‘feature’ is being removed ~ ASAP!

As a temporary solution I will look into using my pinhole to sink the adverts into the deep black void of nothingness. I can live with empty space in the app - but not with taunting ads.

Has anybody found another calorie counter app that seems like the Fitbit one but lacking ads and recipes?  I’m thinking if there is, adding all the details there daily and then just putting the total in Fitbit so it pairs with calories out.  This way google will not have this data in detail and perhaps this recipe feature might disappear.

This is making me so angry and I will be referring my friends forward to go with Apple watches.

I agree with the other 85 members

So please move the recipes to the bottom of the calorie page or eliminate them

I just want to add my calories—the device is a “tracker” not a “guru”

How many complaints about the recipes is it going to take to make Fitbit do something about it. Seems to be falling on deaf ears at the moment

I voted with my feet!  I switched to the Apple Watch and love it!  Fitbit customer service used to be the best in the business when they started years ago.  It is horrendous now and they will continue to lose loyal customers to other devices.

I know you won’t want anything to do with Fitbit community now that you have an Apple Watch but I wish you’d share your comparisons.

I hate this “feature,” please allow it to be hidden or put recipes into the area where workout and other resources are. I already prepare my own food and will never use this, and it sounds like I’m not alone. It’s a terrible and invasive UX to need to scroll past this every time. I’m a premium user, so I know it’s not a plug to promote that.

Move the recipes to a completely separate page.

Even if I was interested in them (I'm not!) they throw me off completely when entering and tracking food. They break apart the graphs and the numerical summaries which need to be read together to get a picture of where you are.

Finding the willpower to stick with food logging is a challenge enough, this is more than an annoyance it has broken the basic task of watching what you're eating.

Get rid of the ads and other distractions while you're at it. I already paid you a lot of money for my fitbit. Basic functionality comes first!

It is a nightmare - please remove it or put it somewhere less intrusive

I’m so disappointed that we had an app update and the premium ads relating to recipe items are still proliferating our food logging page.  There is a Premium tab - why aren’t they moved there?  As noted by everyone here, we don’t appreciate buying a product only to be constantly marketed for another service.

Fitbit’s failure to address the issue shows a lack of concern for its community.  This is and will continue to degrade our loyalty to you, Fitbit.

Please remove the recipe suggestions from the nutrition page. I just started using the app and it's very helpful, but the recipes are distracting and make the app more difficult to use.

I have been with FitBit for the last year. I am specifically tracking fiber right now, and so I went on a hunt for a tracker. I came across a July update that said we can now see nutrients when we log calories! Cool! But then I get there and half the screen is recipes I can’t even use. I can’t figure out how to add anything right now. What is this garbage?? My ADHD brain is overwhelmed at these horribly placed ads, and calorie tracking is a struggle as it is. Seriously, Fitbit, take it from all of these users and remove these recipes before everyone starts their new year resolutions. If this doesn’t get an update soon I will absolutely leave Fitbit.

PLEASE remove the recipes from the cal counting! Being served persistent ads for premium that you cannot dismiss within an app for a product we already paid for is really disappointing UX.

This makes sense on ad-supported platforms - but this isn’t, or at least shouldn’t be, one of those. This is the app that is one of the reasons I have bought multiple Fitbits for myself (other one died) and friends and family.

Many of us use this to track food we have already eaten and do not need more encouragement to eat. This is a bad idea to have in the first place and it makes the app slower when I try to log food which is just that much more annoying.

Please allow an option to hide the food porn!

Fitbit moderator,

A number of people have requested that Fitbit:

1. remove the recipe ads that appear at the top of the calorie tracking app screen; or

2. place the recipe ads at the bottom of the screen; or

3, allow Fitbit app users to remove or move the recipe ads.

Obviously this request is shared by lots of your users who have no interest in recipes or the ads for recipes, and find that the prominent placement of these ads on the page compromises the way these users use the app.

Fitbit has not, as far as I can see, done anything yet to address these concerns.

Please provide us with a bit more clarity on what Fitbit plans to do on this request, when we can expect that the request will be addressed, or if Fitbit is not intending to address this request.  In all candor, those ads are really annoying to some users, including to me.  I would like to know if I should plan to switch to some other app, and with respect, I think it’s fair that Fitbit would get back to app users more expeditiously on this.

Thanks,

Mark

I wholeheartedly agree with all these comments.  The recipe tiles slow down my food logging and causes stress. Please remove or allow us to hide this annoying feature.

Fitbit moderator,

Not even the courtesy of a response to my request for more clarity on what Fitbit may be planning to address (or not address) a request made by more than 140 users?

Also greatly dislike the recipes!  Please allow option to delete or hide!  We’re trying to get fit here, not see more food!

The recipes section has made the app SO slow to load!  I use the Fitbit app to log my food every day and it is an absolute pain to have this added load time and distance between me and the reason why I'm on the food page.  Recipes should either be moved or given a toggle option so that they don't interfere with the usability of the app.
