Allow us to move or delete Cardio Load prompt

There is a new Activity called Cardio Load on my home page and I cannot move or delete it. I don't care about it. I want to see my Steps on the top of the list and now I can't see them because of this new Activity and the size of my iPhone mini. This is ridiculous.

You are not alone!

I've tried to delete Cardio Load data several times, for months now, to stop it appearing in the app, but it keeps popping up.

This "Cardio Load" concept is harming me. It is making me feel terrible and demotivated. I don't want to see it at all. So much so that I am now researching which tracking device I will replace my fitbit with that also has no or minor affiliation with Google. I don't want to support companies that ignore me and others when we tell them they are causing harm. I encourage other users to start thinking about a change, too.

Apparently, you're not the only one!

You have to file an official complaint. (And get the # to document) Our comments are doing nothing here.

It would help if you provided instructions on how to file an official complaint. I'm sure there are many who would be willing to do that!

Go to “Contact Us” in the Fitbit Help Center. Fill out the form to be connected with a member of the customer care team that will give you a case number to reference.

Get rid of the cardio load prompt. It is trash.

It was better before.

Submitting a ticket just resulted in a link that sent me to an answer that "it's not possible."  The feedback shows almost 800 upvotes to turn this feature off.  No action by G.  Useless.  *sigh*

All this!! It is so triggering I am sure it is actually harmful. How can
this be ignored?

not sure what the point is of posting on here because Fitbit are clearly not listening to anybody. So many people hate this feature and yet it still persists.

I have been very ill and it is hard enough knowing that my fitness is slowly disappearing and there is nothing I can do about it without the patronising, sanctimonious snubs every morning from Fitbit that I am “undertraining”.

Thank you Google for making a very difficult period in my life even harder

I think it has gone.  I rang 08000698505 and spoke to Daniel at fit but.

He couldn't sort it out straight away but he told me he would sort it out and I have not received any of those annoying notifications over the weekend.   I am now hoping that they do not return.

I thought that I should share this.

Good luck

I cancelled my premium subscription because of this "feature," and I'd hoped that maybe that would make the notification go away...but it persists. The good (?) news is that I've been ignoring the latest popup asking me to upload a lab report (...which is a separate conversation), so now I see that notification instead of the cardio load, and the lab report one is annoying rather than psychologically harmful, so it's a slight improvement.

Over the last few days I've been getting risk of overtraining warnings and stupidly low targets which have been easily met or exceeded. Today I get a message that over the last seven days I've been at risk of under training! How can I be at risk of both over and under training for the same period? I was a software developer for over 30 years before retiring and there was no way I would have to let a piece of badly programmed and untested software like this go out under my watch.

How about the mods for this forum get us an update about when we can expect some action from the developers?

I agree for me though I don't like it because it's conflicting information. My readiness score could be low but message tells me to up my cardio load? I do agree that for some people it would feel like they were being shamed.

For the last few days the stupid app has been telling me I'm overtraining or at risk of overtraining and has been setting very low "targets". This more it tells me I've been at risk of under training "recently". Define"recently". All week I've been at the top of or exceeding the target your app sets.

@lizziefitbit please can you get an update from your developers about when they are going to deal with this problem? It should be trivial for any developers worth their salt to fix this!

I thought I had finally gotten rid of it for good, but yesterday the nag notification popped up again. it cannot be that difficult to simply add a toggle switch on/off whether we want to get the notifications or not. My guess is that Most, if not all, users would turn it off!

Between the ever-persistent notification and the fact that the calculation is absolutely wild the moment a one-off is introduced, I want to be able to get rid of this.

Further context: I'm a volunteer firefighter. If I have a day where I have a call, my 'cardio' is super high. To base all other days loads off these occasional spikes is ridiculous.

Thank you for your service, ElleJay, and I'm sorry the cardio nag pop up is so annoying.  It is to the rest of us, too!  I don't understand why Google doesn't fix this!

I agree with the others - It's annoying to have to x out of the cardio load prompt all the time.  Worse for me is that it's either trying to kill me or telling me to take it easy when I've taken rest days.  When I'm in a training cycle for a running or cycling event, I have a plan and the cardio load suggestions are completely bonkers.

This cardio load feature takes no account of the fact that my life exists outside of exercising. If i have to go away for a couple of days for work, annoying messages pop up telling me I've been doing no training. I know. I am acutely aware of this. Conversely, when i went skiing for 3 days, on day 3 it told me I'd been working really hard, and should have a rest day. No. I'm skiing today. Stupid feature.

Much like the hundreds of other comments, it's demented that you psychos at Google won't just ADD A GODDAMN TOGGLE ALREADY!!! Is it going to take someone dying before the developers wake up and take this absolutely shameful cardio prompt out. It's a disgusting prompt that merely shames people of all abilities into either under or overtraining. It's a useless metric to me and thousands of others yet you keep going "upvote this thread and maybe we'll pretend to care!".

I agree with others. We can personalize what we can to see. Let us delete or move it. Everything else is optional; that’s should be too!

I told them if they weren’t going to offer support I wanted my money back for the two watches that I recently purchased. This is the response I got earlier:

This is my second comment. Agree with others who have noted the inconsistency between cardio load target and readiness score. Was in bed all day yesterday (12 hours logged sleep) downed by COVID. Resting heart rate and breathing rate are higher than normal, heart rate variability is below normal. Instead of putting the clues together, the stupid cardio load popup chirpily tells me I need to "stay on track" to maintain my cardio fitness. First, I was just annoyed I couldn't toggle off the message. Now I'm annoyed that the guidance is so irresponsible. Please do better, Google.
