Allow us to move or delete Cardio Load prompt

There is a new Activity called Cardio Load on my home page and I cannot move or delete it. I don't care about it. I want to see my Steps on the top of the list and now I can't see them because of this new Activity and the size of my iPhone mini. This is ridiculous.

Thank you for your service, ElleJay, and I'm sorry the cardio nag pop up is so annoying.  It is to the rest of us, too!  I don't understand why Google doesn't fix this!

I agree with the others - It's annoying to have to x out of the cardio load prompt all the time.  Worse for me is that it's either trying to kill me or telling me to take it easy when I've taken rest days.  When I'm in a training cycle for a running or cycling event, I have a plan and the cardio load suggestions are completely bonkers.

This cardio load feature takes no account of the fact that my life exists outside of exercising. If i have to go away for a couple of days for work, annoying messages pop up telling me I've been doing no training. I know. I am acutely aware of this. Conversely, when i went skiing for 3 days, on day 3 it told me I'd been working really hard, and should have a rest day. No. I'm skiing today. Stupid feature.

Much like the hundreds of other comments, it's demented that you psychos at Google won't just ADD A GODDAMN TOGGLE ALREADY!!! Is it going to take someone dying before the developers wake up and take this absolutely shameful cardio prompt out. It's a disgusting prompt that merely shames people of all abilities into either under or overtraining. It's a useless metric to me and thousands of others yet you keep going "upvote this thread and maybe we'll pretend to care!".

I agree with others. We can personalize what we can to see. Let us delete or move it. Everything else is optional; that’s should be too!

I told them if they weren’t going to offer support I wanted my money back for the two watches that I recently purchased. This is the response I got earlier:

This is my second comment. Agree with others who have noted the inconsistency between cardio load target and readiness score. Was in bed all day yesterday (12 hours logged sleep) downed by COVID. Resting heart rate and breathing rate are higher than normal, heart rate variability is below normal. Instead of putting the clues together, the stupid cardio load popup chirpily tells me I need to "stay on track" to maintain my cardio fitness. First, I was just annoyed I couldn't toggle off the message. Now I'm annoyed that the guidance is so irresponsible. Please do better, Google.

Totally agree we should be able to turn off not only the cardio load tile but the unsolicited advice.  This has been an unresolved issue for ages. If you can't control when it appears and gets closed, just turn it off! I don't hate checking out the cardio load information, but I never asked Fitbit to have an opinion about my exercise and refuse to shut up about it.  You have Fitbit Premium for users who want Fitbit all up in their business.  Unsolicited appearance of this advice popup in the app makes other items harder to get to and it usually can't be closed without closing the app completely.  If by some miracle it will close with the X, a second message will then appear that you have to beg to close as well to get this all off the screen!

Fitbit fix this!

It sounds like you're referencing feedback from a user (BonBon7) on a feature in a fitness or health-related mobile app — likely Polar Flow or a similar app — where a new "Cardio Load" tile or prompt has been added to the home screen/dashboard, and it's not customizable (i.e., users can’t move or remove it).

Summary of the User Feedback:

  • Issue: The "Cardio Load" feature is automatically pinned at the top of the home screen.

  • User Impact: It pushes more relevant data (like Steps) out of view, especially on smaller screens (e.g. iPhone Mini).

  • User Request: Ability to move or delete the Cardio Load tile.

  • Current Status: "Under Consideration" by the app developers.                                                                                              ileads mortgage solutions

  • Comments: 559 users have chimed in — suggesting this is a widespread concern.

Suggestions for You (If You're a User Affected by This):

  1. Upvote or Comment on the Idea Exchange thread – more traction can prompt action.

  2. Check for Updates – App developers may roll out dashboard customization features in future updates.

  3. Contact Support Directly – If the feature significantly affects usability, raising a direct ticket can help.

  4. Use Widgets (if available) – Some apps allow iOS/Android widgets or shortcuts that can display data like Steps outside the main app view.

Suggestions for the Developers (If You're Gathering Feedback):

  • Dashboard Customization: Allow users to hide, rearrange, or pin key data tiles.

  • User Preferences Save State: Let the app remember the user’s last view/sort layout.

  • Device Responsiveness: Optimize UI for smaller screen sizes.

Would you like help drafting a response or comment to add to that feedback thread?

I agree that the Cardio Load feature is useless and just takes up space on my screen. I agree with comments that it “shames” people for not doing a certain amount of exercise daily, and it is completely unreliable, one day telling me to do more and the next day telling me to do less. I want to be able to remove it entirely or hide it, I don’t use it and pretty much ignore it at this time. As someone said, a “very useless metric."

This is the WORST feature ever!! GET RID OF IT!! I am a Pregnant Woman and should never be peppered with messages saying I am "undertraining".

This is incredibly frustrating to users who are pregnant, have disabilities, or have other medical concerns.

I'm done. After all this time still being nagged by this preposterously inaccurate and incredibly irritating notification constantly filling my screen, I've taken off my Fitbit, deleted all my data and replaced it with a dumb watch (which has a  battery life measured in years not days).

I'm done. I started wearing an alternative tracker a few days ago and it's such a relief. All the information I need and no constant shaming and interference from the "Cardio Load" feature.

This has done so much damage to my faith in your brand. Your care for our welfare is nonexistent. Will it take someone injuring themselves before you hear us: THIS FEATURE IS HARMFUL.

So after almost a decade of loyalty (and money) from me as a client and customer, I've seen how much I matter.

And I'm done.

Fitbit: it’s been 6 months, are you in the room with us? Your reckless algorithm is taunting us to train as professional athletes.
Bottom line- the feature is dangerous - so it NEEDS to be removed. Matters of consumer safety are not issues for debate or voting. We invested in our health by buying your product, and now we are risking it by using your product!

Tell me, are we paying customers or are we lab rats? Please end this grossly underdeveloped and poorly executed experiment, now.

After 6 months of patiently waiting to be given the option to turn the cardio lead pop up off I purchased a different smart watch. I’d been happily using Fitbit for over 12 years but the wildly contradictory and shaming pop ups were driving me mad. I’m so much happier with my competitors product that does not have such useless and harmful messages. Google / fitbit appears not to be bothered about its customer satisfaction.

I'm on at least my 3rd FitBit device. Seems they continue to change things around, not always for the better, including annoying cardio notifications which they just added but don't allow you to control. What happened to the fireworks when I met my primary goal for the day? Product keeps getting worse. This will probably be my last FitBit as other companies offer the features I want for much less.

I completely agree. I haven’t seen one improvement that I liked in quite some time. I’ve had this Fitbit Luxe for at least a couple of years so I don’t think it will last too much longer but when it’s gone, I’m definitely buying an Apple Watch. I will miss my 10,000 steps a day step streak being over 1300 so far, But it’s not as important as having a company that appreciates and listens to our issues.

As I'm logged in to report another fault, just wanted to post again to repeat that I cannot believe this is only 'under consideration': there is clearly a bug.

Turning off the cardio load radio button should stop any mention of cardio lead appearing, end of.

I still believe the actual calculation is wildly out too, but the messages appearing even when everything is turned off should surely be a simple fix

New to the forum, but after reading through this thread and others, I've noticed that nobody from Fitbit has responded in quite some time, yet everyone is still extremely frustrated by this issue. To be honest, I don't care as much about this message popping up (though I 100% don't like it and would like this to be something that becomes a pop-up message we can choose to have or not) but even more so by the fact that we should be able to dismiss it by hitting the "x" and mine isn't allowing that as if that feature is frozen - it's almost as if Fitbit has heard our frustrations and doubled down on this. This seems like a bug that could be VERY QUICKLY addressed with an app update, yet nothing after months and months of complaints and frustrations shared.

I'm a genuine long-time Fitbit user for well over 10 years now and really love Fitbit, however, Fitbit needs to remember that we all have other health and fitness trackers out there to choose from and could easily switch to one who listens and RESPONDS to their customers and fixes bugs or annoying "nudges" much more quickly than they are actioning on this one.

Though right now, the only "nudge" I'm listening to is the one telling me that maybe it's time to try out a different fitness tracker...

There have been 2 updates IIRC since I first posted about this and nothing has been done.Clearly, the developers don't think it's an issue.

I bought a refurbished A watch and have been wearing both for a couple of weeks to decide which one I like better. If it weren't for the battery issue, the A watch would be the clear winner.

I've been wearing a Fitbit for 12 years, since the One. Might be time for a permanent change.
