I have been a huge fan of Fitbit for many many years

it’s very popular here in the Middle East
but the only thing that has always been missing is Arabic language support for notifications because the majority of the population here do speak English but not all

It’s a huge sign of disrespect for Arabs and the Arabic language

it was suggested and voted on multiple times for many years in the past

Fitbit officially dismissed this suggestion on one of the posts in the past and decided not to act on it

Hi @AAlFa, thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to see Arabic notifications on the Fitbit app and smartwatches. I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has been updated as "Under Consideration". I hope to see you around.

@YojanaFitbit

The solution that Fitbit has for all Arabic related posts for many years is (Closed for comments and open for votes) or (under consideration)

as if topics and suggestions like these have never been posted for many years many many times and have been subjected to a vote

appalling and disgusting level of disrespect for Arabs

This basic simple feature should be a given and not begged upon a dragged on for all these years

What Arabs need is an official statement and clarification from Fitbit administration as to why this issue has been dismissed and neglected for many years

The question that should be raised here given the prolonged neglect and lack of action is “is Fitbit a racist organization ?”

Arabic speakers and Muslims are a large number and Fitbit should add the Arabic language if they want to keep them, especially when there another competitors who already added the Arabic language.

The funny thing is that since 2018, Fitbit has not paid any attention to the demands of Arabs in their language to contribute to the use of the watch and the app.
Fitbit supports Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Indonesian and Korean
It does not have the ability to support Arabic for two years, I will buy Huawei Fit. I will not find it difficult to deal with it because it provides me with Arabic and I think you should do it .. I apologize, I am tired of receiving notifications in the form ?????????????? And the app does not support my language. Do not use it often and I will not waste my money changing the bracelet and switching between Fitbit watches, and it does not care about its Arab customers

Hello

When can we have the Arabic language supported?

AAlFa
Recovery Runner

We might have better luck when google takes over

most probably most of the employees will be out of the job very soon (I honestly wouldn’t keep them given how negligent and useless they are)

if after the google buy we don’t get basic Arabic support we should all go publicly on a post as Arabs and boycott the company products all together

Probably in 2025

I appreciate that you're working diligently to bring this feature to Arabic speakers who use Fitbits - but I'd like to emphasize that two years is a long time for us to wait on this. Arabic is one of the most prevalent languages in the world (to put it into perspective, English is the third most spoken, while Arabic is the fifth most spoken). It's a shame to see that this huge demographic is being overlooked entirely, and placated with empty promises of "under consideration". Under consideration makes sense for 6 months, a year tops. Now that it's been under consideration for two years, can we have a concrete timeline?

Thank you very much in advance, and appreciate your hard work! Just losing patience.

More then two years have passed since tis thread was open and brought to the attention of Fitbit, but we still no closer to an update to resolve this shortcoming.  Prices are going up and the devices are being marketed more and more then just health trackers but more and more as a true smart device to compliment your smart phone.  However, other companies, Samsung, Apple, Huawei, Google, to name just a few, are able to provide the language support we are asking for, why can't Fitbit?

This is truly a sad testament to the level of support and concern that Fitbit is reciprocating to paying loyal customers that support the company through repeated purchases via continued product updates cycles.

Maybe two more years will pass before we see the update or maybe we will just forget and stop asking for something a large portion of the world and customer base wants and needs.

They won't take notice if we only complain on here. To be noticed we should published on social media, on to make all potential buyers know this issue and second for people to know they don't care about providing Arabic
