Audible alarms and notifications on Sense series, Versa 3 and Versa 4

Now that both devices have a speaker and they can be used for phone calls, it would be nice to have a ringtone or a beep sound for the alarm.

Does Fitbit even care and read these comments? I don't understand why it is
so hard forFitbit to provide an audible alarm and notification

Iv been waiting over a year for this add on of audible alerts, and no one
from Fitbit has addressed or acknowledged this thread at all. I think that
have our money already, therefore they don't care.

No kidding. I am here to tell you I made similar posts with no sign of response. I posted directly to their support site. Their response was of no value. They really don't care. Honesty don't care.

The funniest thing is the email I got asking me to complete FEEDBACK on my experience. I did it. But there is no area for comments, suggestions and any evidence they really want my feedback. What a joke this is.

This is my last FitBit. When it is done, I am done with them. I will also be sharing this on social media and with any friends who ask about my happiness with Fitbit. Versa 3 as if it matters.

I think enough people post negative rating on this feature on social media,
may be it will get their attention

Come on FitBit team, we need this... 6 pages of users looking for what purchasers of your product expected..  Today, I sat and waited for my reminder - I did not feel any vibration or hear anything..  useless to have a reminder that does not do as you'd expect it to..

thanks to update us...

Fitbit is turning into a freaking joke.

They don't care about fixing problems, just talk!!!!

Yes.. I also relaized they dont care after seeing so many people complain about this issue and nothing but a canned response from them. All of us need to take our complaint to the next level. Destroy them on social media sites.

They have proven they have no concern about their customers or product improvements. So, I already blasted them on Twitter. I suggest you do the same and get the word out to destroy them on any social media platform that you can. Companies should not be allowed to operate this way. PLEASE go to this next level.

You have a speaker on the Sense, let's make the best use of it
I'd love my sense to have audible alarms and timers

This is the frustrating thing about this issue. The speaker is there for
phone calls but not for notifications and alarms. Ridiculous

I just got the versa 3 and I can't believe it is not possible to add a sound to the alarm...

Please add this feature

Having just changes from the Ionic to the Sense it is dissapointing not to have audible alarms.  This should be added ASAP

Devices with a speaker should have an audible tone/sounds for alarms/timers. I do set alarms thru my google assistant but the vibration alone is not terribly effective or not always very noticeable. Vibration and sound together would be much more effective.

Hi @Brianrap, thanks for taking the time to share this suggestion about having audible alarms on our Fitbit devices with us. Because a similar idea was already requested in the Feature Suggestion board, I’ve moved your post here. Please support this idea by adding your vote, this helps our developers to keep tracking its popularity and demand over time.

I agree the vibration alarm is easy to miss.  I would like beeps at intervals when I am working out - for example running or climbing stairs.  It would be nice to be able to set beeps every certain number of minutes, or every km / mile, etc.  But since there's now a speaker, it could be used for many useful things!  Thanks.

The android fitbit app should have a user-definable notification sound for low battery so that the alarm is immediately noticable. I would even welcome a vibration on the fitbit with a screen message.

@festivali  -  may be a better solution is to use a clock face from the gallery, such as SimpleClockPro that warns you for low battery.

Thanks, Guy, but I have an excellent clock face, but I really don't check the fitbit face very often.  Android's tendency to use the same beep for just about everything is a real usability issue.

@festivali  - you can change the message announcement on Samsung but as the Fitbit App only gives one notification for the battery there's not much point.

But if you want to change it, for Android 10

  • Press and hold the Fitbit App launch icon
  • Click app info
  • Click notifications line
  • Click low battery line
  • Click sound
  • Choose sound

Because they haven't added the alarm sound feature and because Google Assistant won't let me do contactless pay from my watch, or even make calls from my watch I will be returning my Fitbit 3. Your developers are lazy and your app store is atrocious honestly when you guys look in the mirror you should cry and fire w/e marketing and developer team leaders because apparently they run on molasses, are inept, and can't even get a simple alarm sound feature as a quick update. Taking over a year? Didn't even think about this before? They're high. There are loads of people that have been asking for this, the fact you guys had no foresight to include it in the first place speaks the loads to your team organization and whatever else department corporate issues you guys are having. This is 2022 get it together.  Massive miss. #fitbithaspoorleadership

I sold my Fitbit Sense for this very reason...no audible alarm...kept dropping bluetooth connection and generally not worth the money. Other manufacturers listen to their customers, it seems not Fitbit (certainly in this case)...but remember they are now 'Google' owned...

Being google probably makes them more arrogant. Do they even read these posts

Who knows? But being a previous Ionic and Charge user...they never updated anything useful. Bought the Sense on a whim...sold it within 6 weeks. Am on the Huawei/Honor/Amazfit merry go round...none of them perfect...but at least I have audible alarms and a 'find my phone' that works...also they dont completely overcount steps like Fitbit

I lasted about 2 weeks with the Fitbit and became completely frustrated. There were some things I liked but unfortunately more things I couldn't get past. Returned it for a refund and have moved on to the latest watch from Garmin. None of these devices are perfect but even my previous Amazfit outperformed the Versa 3. The lack of apps, especially for a product line owned by google, was ridiculously poor.

I couldn't get a refund as there was nothing 'wrong' with it, so luckily able to sell on privately. But like you, although more things I didn't like!! Currently with the Amazfit GTR3 pro...definitely not perfect at all, but suits my needs at the moment. Garmin a bit out of my price range for what I need TBH (70 yr old person who is not working out much but enjoys notifications, reasonable fitness tracking and not being attached to my mobile phone all the time!!)
