Audible alarms and notifications on Sense series, Versa 3 and Versa 4

Now that both devices have a speaker and they can be used for phone calls, it would be nice to have a ringtone or a beep sound for the alarm.

for some reason the folks at Fitbit don't seem to take this issue
seriously, maybe none of them wear Fitbit. It is a very simple thing.Wish
you good luck talking to them

I like how it's been 2 years an the feature is still not available. What's the point of having a built-in speaker when you don't use it to the fullest. Not only alarms but the notifications should also get a sound update. Uber app for the Versa doesn't work. Apparently it's been doing that for years now. Can download songs with Spotify. It says 'By Google' on their website but none of the Google apps work on the versa 3 except for the Google Assistant. A lot of issue with a product that's been around for a couple of years. A lot of the app were last update in 2020 or early 2021. Nothing works. I mean what kinda a company sells a product and tells you to pay to use the companion app? Imagine if Samsung you do that or getting a Google Home device and you gotta pay to use certain features. Wish I'd known before I bought this product.

the worst part is if in the phone app, you click the 3 dots and send a test call notification it's stronger, so why can't they do the same for the other notifications?

maybe the sense 2 will be better?

Please add audible alarm to Sense 2 and Versa 4, too. Thanks.

There is no sound at all on the sense 2, it only vibrates. That’s very annoying because if it did have sound I would be able to know what the notification is for by the sound it makes and then determine if I want to check the notification on the screen. Also having any sound at all come from it would be helpful. Even if it’s just for notifications

Hi @Chookieash, thanks for taking the time to share this suggestion about having audible notifications and alarms on your Sense 2 with us. I noticed a similar idea was already requested in the Feature Suggestion board, so I’ve moved your post here. Please support this idea by adding your vote, this helps our developers to keep tracking its popularity and demand over time.

Without this I could predict most purchases would be returned as the alarm setting is as good as null and void.

I can't believe this got through research and development.

Many of the great features the Ionic had should be used.

PLEASE enable sound for all notifications (user selectable as to which) for the Versa 4, since the Versa 3 came out I didn't upgrade from my Versa 2 because I hated the capacitive 'buttons', now that's been fixed in the Versa 4 by the move back to a physical button, the only thing stopping me upgrading to the Versa 4 is the lack of sound notifications!

I'll literally order one the instant this is fixed!!

I totally agree with this suggestion, I don't wake up with cibrarion only either. One of the main reasons I bought Sense 2 and not some other model from other manufacturers was the smart wake up alarm feature. It was not made clear in publications that the alarm?is vibrate only - I would not have bought it had I known. Please add this feature as?l soon as possible.

So I just bought this Fitbit Sense because of the speaker.

I set alarm, and found out that this doesn't have an audible alarm!

What good is the speaker if it can't even sound an alarm to wake up in the morning!!!

I see that this has been a problem for over two years, with no comment from Fitbit at all regarding updating the Sense to make use of the alarm.  I still don't understand the use of the speaker at all.  Nobody is going to listen to Spotify from their watch!

This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever owned.

Luckily, I can bring it back.

GOODBYE FITBIT!!!

Hi Yojana, in response to your answer to Emmlee, I have been on this thread for awhile listening to how many people are dissatisfied with Fitbit and their lack of response regarding adding an audible alarm. I have seen endless complaints from Fitbit users to the point where people are returning their devices or stating that will never purchase another Fitbit in the future. I too am in the same category, feeling unheard and unappreciated for supporting your company and questioning if I want to support a company that does not value its customers. I really don’t understand your company’s logic in not caring about losing customers and bad publicity over a small thing as adding an audible alarm.(This really does not sounds like a good business model) So as a result of your company’s lack of attention to this matter, I am now forced to wear a 1980’s digital calculator watch on my left wrist for an alarm and a Fitbit on my right wrist to access the other required information. As mentioned my other watch is from the 80’s and they had the technology back then to do this. I’m very confident that your company should have enough ability to copy 1980’s technology. Can you tell me why after all these complaints and requests your company still choose to ignore all these user’s requests for an audible alarm?

Honestly Fitbit doesn't care about it's customers. It's quite evident from their lack of regard for customer feedback. This kind of feedback from customers should be taken seriously and presented to management frequently. But for whatever reason they don't seem to care. From the consumers perspective there's not much else to do but find a better product. That's the beauty of the free market I guess.

Unfortunately I have had to switch to another smartwatch/tracker due to no audible alarm.

If it is EVER included I may reconsider returning to Fitbit ...it is a deal breaker for me.

But am not holding my breath as we have been asking for this for two years and new Fitbit Versa and Sense have been introduced AGAIN WITHOUT the audible alarm function

Just adding in another comment here - we *really* need this on the Versa 4.  The vibration is just too light to wake me up.  If it had an alarm, I could count on it instead of my phone, wake-up calls, wife, etc.  It doesn't even have be customizable - just an old fashioned, standard beep would be fine.

Fitbit is a joke now. I switched to Samsung Galaxy watch 5 pro awhile back.
I will never return to fitbit. They do not care about their customers
opinion at all. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company !

Get the **ahem** alarm volume on. There's been calls for it over two years. I got the versa 3 for Christmas & set the alarm three times & it's failed to wake me these three times

Apparently that technology is beyond Fitbit 😂🤦

Get the d a m nalarm volume on

Robbub

* Alarm volume *should* be a thing... especially now that I can take calls on my Versa 4... the thing clearly has a speaker, why is this so difficult for Fitbit?

* Peps that switched to a different product (Galaxy Watch)... sure... except that costs anywhere from $250 to $400.  I'll live with my Fitbit for now but when it comes time to replace it (breaks or I leave it somewhere by mistake), maybe I'll look around again.  There are a lot of features I *do* like, I just want the frickin' Alarm... or at least turn on 3rd party apps so someone else can develop it.

Here's an idea for 2023, make the d a m n alarm audible, go on you know you can.

Hey Eddie, thinking about doing the same re: swapping from the Sense to the
Samsung - how do you find it compares so far? My main worry is the battery
life. If you dont mind sharing your thoughts. Thanks! 🙂
