Automatically track sleep meditations after they finish

When logging meditations from the "mindfulness" tile, automatically stop and log meditations when the video/audio for the meditation is complete -- especially for the sleep ones!

Totally agree with this! I missed out on logging a day because I hit the prompt wrong after. And when I do them before sleep, they end up counting as a session as long as I slept and for the next time. It is a really awkward oversight that hampers the meditation content which is super useful and awesome in theory.

Yes, yes, yes! Alternatively, enable users to edit the end time, as you can with sleep. The whole point of meditation for sleep is that you "drift off to sleep" before the session is over and don't wake up to hit the "log session" button. My 15 minute session at bedtime last night was logged as a 7 hour session! I have never left a request here... This one drives me crazy! Thanks!

Please, please fix this feature.  I like to do sleep meditation - once I fall asleep it keeps going until I wake up. As a result my mindfulness hours are crazy.  There’s no way for this to be meaningful if the time can’t be edited to when I was actually meditating,

I use Calm most nights to go to sleep. I listen to bedtime stories or white noise. I’d like to use FB’s Mindfulness offerings so I can clock in Mindfulness hours. However, I can’t use Mindfulness AND the sleep recorder at the same time - it’s either one or the other. It would be nice to turn on a Mindfulness recording and then start tracking sleep. Until then, I’ll continue to use Calm

I agree with Glbetrkkr about using the Mindfulness offerings and the Sleep recorder at the same time.  This seems silly to me.  I want to use a sleep meditation as I drift off to sleep and have my sleep recorded without having to wake up enough to stop the mindfulness and start the sleep tracking.  I use Calm or Headspace to get around this, but why can't I do this all in one app?  Doesn't seem very 'premium' to me...

Agree with this! I used sleep mindfulness last night and I just realized that it did not track (I fell asleep so could not tap to log). Sleep mindfulness should be logged automatically.

Totally agree, just started using the mindfulness feature and don't understand what the point of it is if you can't log sleep meditations. If they are played to finish there's no reason why it can't automatically log that you listened to it!

Yes please fix this especially for sleep meditations.

My issue is I use the mindfulness sessions to fall asleep, but rather than logging several hours, as other have indicated, mine do not register at all. I have several sessions that aren’t logged.

Yes, completely agree with all of these comments! Please allow sleep tracking to occur in the event a sleep meditation puts you to sleep.
Otherwise I’m more likely to use an external meditation app so Fitbit can record sleep, which somewhat of defeats the purpose of subscribing to premium.

PLEASE! I'm new to Fitbit and really bummed to see that this has been an issue for years and still isn't resolved. My sleep recorder is working even when I fall asleep to a mindfulness meditation, but I still can't edit end time which would be an okay fix. The best solution is clearly to log the session automatically.

Absolutely agree!!!! So annoying to a 400-600 minute meditation on my tracker after I fall asleep. It also fails to show my heart rate change most nights.

Allow logging for sleep-centered mindfulness sessions including sounds and stories. Or allow manual logging. It won’t let you log when you wake back up. Twitter support told me you “recommend not falling asleep while using the mindfulness feature”

Hi @rileyeren228, thanks for taking the time to share this suggestion about allowing your sleep mindfulness sessions to be automatically logged after completing them with us. Because a similar idea was already requested in the Feature Suggestion board, I’ve moved your post here. Please support this idea by adding your vote, this helps our developers to keep tracking its popularity and demand over time.

Yes, not only does it log too many minutes but it overrides my alarm in the morning puts me back to sleep!

This should be an automatic feature.  Waking up with a six-plus hours long record isn't helpful or correct.

Looks like after two years, not enough votes for Fitbit to fix this. Very disappointing. I don't understand the point of mindfulness to go to sleep only to be woken up by my phone lighting up with the log notification. Which does NOT go away. Last night tried a session with phone flipped upsidedown and notification was STILL there and had kept my phone awake all night draining my battery. So two issues here Fitbit - first is if you fall asleep it doesn't record the correct mindfulness time. Second is the notification wakes some of us up!!! The second one is much more annoying than the first. I guess since you won't fix the issue will just quit using mindfulness altogether....but then what's the point???

If I fall asleep during a *sleep meditation*, then it won't log my sleep time, just wild amounts of meditation. This is a very clear oversight - and now that it had been pointed out by several users, it seems absurd that it has not yet been fixed.  I am tired of not being able to get a complete picture of my sleep cycles because I fell asleep to a meditation (which is the purpose of the sleep mediations...)

Also, if my phone receives a notification of any sort, the meditations start over again - which means that my husband and I were woken up at 12:40am the other night, when my phone began playing the meditation I had fallen asleep to (several hours ago) over again 🤨  PLEASE - both these issues DEFINITELY need to be fixed by now

New user & disappointed to see this has been a feature request for YEARS. If I'm supposed to be winding down and fitbit is supposed to be helping by logging data, why are you making me GRAB MY DEVICE AT THE END OF A SESSION?!?!?!?

Greetings Team,  I was about to post a similar feature request and I see it's already there.  Sleep meditation is not useful if you are required to do something following the meditation (other than sleep).  Please help elevate this in the backlog. @LizzyFitbit
