Blood pressure Fitbit device with historical tracking

It would be great if Fitbit either created a blood pressure monitor and a glucose monitor that would sync with the dashboard or if they would team up with another company (Omron, diabetic community app) to have their product sync with the dashboard instead of having to manually enter it.

Where as the Cardiex / Atcor algorithms and PPG tech will take clinical grade peripheral AND CENTRAL (aortic) FDA cleared clinical measurements…..with no cuff calibration needed. More curate than the doctors cuff!

Revolutionary stuff for population health.

I would like to see a blood pressure monitor on the fit bit. This would be a great addition and a life saver for some.

"Blood Pressure - MyDiary" is a great app for logging blood pressure (many very cool statistical graphs, etc. so I wouldn't want to replace this app), and it would be awesome if Fitbit could pair with it similarly to how it pairs with MyFitnessPal to bring certain summarized data over without having to double enter.

I sync my weight using the Aria scale and my water consumption using the Spark water bottle. Both of these have been tremendously helpful to me in my fitness journey. However, I can't comprehend why there is no blood pressure sync to maintain a history of readings from another device. I get that the nirvana for all SmartWatch makers is to measure BP through the watch, but it would lay the foundation and dramatically improve the usefulness of the FitBit, for me and for partnering with my doctor, if the app could sync with some BP monitoring device. Frankly, from a business perspective, I would think FitBit would be trying to buy companies that provide these essential health measurements, so their integration could be even tighter and the products sold in a bundle. I love my FitBit, but this lack of synchronization may be what drives me to buy an AppleWatch.

I don't really need the BP reading to sync with my Fitbit, I just want to
have a space where I can log it in each time I take it. It would be awesome
to have a device like the scales, but beggers can't be choosers.

Thanks

After a recent doctor appointment, I tried to enter my BP in the Fitbit app. How weird that this isn't even an option.

Well here is hoping FiTBIT adopts Cardiex’s Blood Pressure watch sensor Technology to allow for medical grade central and peripheral Blood Pressure monitoring and heart health stats!  Mobvoi the competition launches the first of these next gen cardiac watches on 1 March 2022….according to their twitter feed Mobvoi Official .  Common Fitbit my versa 2 May get replaced after years of loyalty to Fitbit.   Heart and cardiovascular health is the key reason for the rest of stats Fitbit currently monitors and tracks!

That's the only thing that would get me to upgrade from my ionic.

When will fitbit start tracking and recording blood pressure automatically. Even cheap smartwatches can do this.

Does anyone know

if this is possible yet? I’d really like to sync my blood pressure monitoring device app to my Fitbit app for tracking and trending data.

expensive to implement.

@Cmyork44 it is kind of possible. A watch without a cuff to block the blood flow will not be able to directly read blood pressure.

How they work?

Fist step is to use your BP machine to read your blood pressure.

Now put the watch in its calibration mode, and tell the watch your blood pressure.

The watch needs to be able to read an ECG and detect the pulse in the arm.

The lower the persons BP the longer the time period between the electrical signal and the detection of the pulse.

The watch then extrapolates an educated guess on the BP reading.

What would be nice is if Fitbit added an API so third parties could send a BP reading?

But first fitbit will need to add the optoion to log BP

Able to log blood pressure in the Fitbit app

A diabetes continuous monitor and or blood pressure would be great.  The nation is aging.  These conditions are increasing quickly.

Blood pressure is something fitbit already had apparently? For me, the whole reason for having a fitbit product is to loosely keep track of health markers. BP readings would be a super easy marker to incorporate even if the input was manual. Given that home bp monitoring can massively reduce heart disease risk, help control hypertension, and reduce risk of strokes or reoccurrence of strokes, it would be a big win on Fitbit's part for the health of their users and would sync well with the HR abnormality markers they've been pushing. It wouldn't even matter if the majority of users didn't utilize it, there could still be heart attacks prevented and stroke risk reduced with those tools available which would only reflect positively on the brand.

I totally agree with you. It's a pain to use a product that has to wrap
around your arm. Be great to have on a Fitbit!

I hope they add a blood pressure reading or where we can additionally
manually
