Bring back Spotify app to Versa 4 & Sense 2

Request to restore the ability to store offline music via Deezer, Spotify, or any other music media application on the Versa 4 and Sense 2. Just like it was able to do so on the Versa 3 and Sense (1). Otherwise you are going backwards with regards to the developmental process of your product, and severely limiting its usability.

After i found out there was not spotify with the versa 4,  i was so bummed I upgraded to versa 4 from charge 5. That was one of the main reasons my wife upgraded me as a birthday gift. My son has the versa 2 with spotify. Why not the versa 4? I like the size and simplicity of the charge 5. The size and lack of features on the versa 4 is a big disappointment in a much bigger watch. Bad move google/fitbit.

Well that was surely no answer to the topics my post was about in the first place. Why do you ignore all the other questions?

I think this suggestion had enough impact, demand, usefulness, etc for Fitbit to chose and start working on. These post have been around since 2022. Nothing had been done yet? Sounds like Fitbit doesn’t listen to their customers? Is this a company you guys want to continue to support? Sounds like it might be time to jump ship.

It’s funny how in the FAQ #9 includes a statement that says more or less “our engineers are constantly coming up with new and exciting ideas…”

Well, your team of engineers seriously upset and disgruntled thousands of customers. Can you imagine how many of them don’t even read the forums? It’s countless.

time to step up, Fitbit. Tell your engineer team to think smarter when revoking such functionality

Well that's true. And sad. Not even the Google Wallet support is working properly. FitBit doesn't keep the made promises and seems to have no idea how to fix things. Time to step up for sure.

I gave up on Fitbit and got a Samsung. So many more features and more
consistent functionality. Never turning back.

I had no idea that the Sense 2 didn't have music capability ... I spent hour looking at different options to upgrade and was excited when I got my Sense 2 today. Now I'm debating returning it. I've been a fitbit user for about 3 years or so and really didn't want to switch companies... but if they are not allowing music options at all? Not worth it. 100% support adding the capability in an upgrade.

Seeing how this thread started in 2022 and its now June 2023, I don't think fitbit is listening...

Disgraceful! I was so excited to "upgrade". I cant believe the app store is gone & no SPOTIFY!!!! Seriously please give us a timeline or I am returning this while I still can, as its now totally impractical for workouts. A very disappointing down grade, you should be ashamed Fitbit

Without these and other 3rd party apps, it is not really a "Smart watch" It just a pretty fitness tracker.

I really cant understand how Fitbit and Google doesnt allow this on a brand new model. We are talking of such a simple thing, at least let us control the music being played in spotify on our phone. I am also considering returning this to the shop for this reason.

I would use Spotify on my fitbit so much! I would also use a Google assistant A TON! Please bring it back!

@LizzyFitbit @YojanaFitbit  this has clearly been a high complaint for more than a year… does @Fitbit have any plans to fix this major downgrade???

I think it's safe to say Google/Fitbit will not be restoring this well liked feature. My thoughts are they are likely placing their development efforts on their newer Pixel Watches and relegating the Fitbits to a lower tiered/fitness only device.

As a loyal Fitbit user, I am disappointed at their lack of transparency and effort on this issue. The removal of Spotify was annoying, but I've learned to live without it. What I cannot tolerate is the lack of auto pause on cycling even after the last firmware update. Simple concept. Stop movement, pause the timer. Movement starts, resume activity timer. My Sense 2 doesn't do it. My Microsoft Band 2 from 2015 did. How's that for regression Fitbit?  After this wearable dies, I will likely be switching brands. Looking at you Garmin.... unless auto-pause miraculously gets fixed/added to the Sense 2 on next firmware update.  I'm not holding my breath.

Bring back Spotify and the bitmoji clock face. I have just upgraded from Versa 2 to Versa 4 and I am disappointed it doesn't have these functions. I used them both all of the time. It feels like this model has gone backwards not forwards.

Amen.  My Versa died and I bought a Garmin so I could store music for offline listening.

This was the highlight of my fitbit. I could really get into my workout when I could leave my phone behind. The fact that I could run without the added weight of a phone is what made my workout more enjoyable and fulfilling.

I am disappointed by the decision to remove support of 3rd party apps including Spotify. Just why?

I had the versa 3 and 'upgraded' to the sense 2 only to find it doesn't have this feature. This isn't progression is regression. It was one of the best features for running, made everything a bit easier without having to mess with your phone when you were on the move.

I agree sense 2 is such a downgrade. What are you thinking fitbit? I'd 100% go back to the original sense and wish I never purchased sense 2. I'm so disappointed, Ive had 5 different Fitbits and the versa lite is better then the sense 2.  I will be searching other brands as well now. Something that is more useful and can add apps or whatever to make it more personable for my needs and wants.  Way to disappoint Fitbit. I never should have downgraded to sense 2. But I also didn't know you were taking away fundamentals.
