Bring back sedentary food plan option to Fitbit app

My fitbit updated and automatically changed my daily calorie estimate from sedentary to personalized. The personalized setting is over estimating my calories burned and saying I can eat more than i should and causing my food plan to over eat. Even if i try to anticipate it, the numbers change, causing me to not meet my weight and nutrition goals

I hate seeing that I'm over my calorie estimate just because I eat breakfast early. If we can no longer opt for the "sedentary" option for cal estimates, at the VERY least take down the help article that's says this is possible!!

The instructions for this setting is still in the "Learn more" section for the calorie counter.  I spent way too much time looking for this option only to find that it's not there!  Please bring this option back.

0I had been using Fitbit and its products for 7 years, but I am starting to think that I may change to another product since the dashboard was change and not many settings can be change. To my it is very important to know how many calories I can eat each day and the way the app is set up right now does not allow me to do it correctly. I had been trying to change the setting to “sedentary” for more than a year without any success to this day. It is sad to notice that I am not the only one with the same problem, there are many of us struggling with this. I am afraid that in the end I will need to replace my watch with another brand that has more flexibility and that really pays attention to the needs of the users.

Please bring this back. I just bought a fitbit and it's ridiculous that you're gatekeeping this option to switch to sedentary!

It’s been a year and nothing has changed on here apart from the increasing number of people wanting the sedentary option back! However having read your FAQs it’s clear this feedback is probably going nowhere fast. Change requests clearly need hundreds or thousands of votes and even then there’s no guarantee of any change, or in this case, reinstatement, of a really useful feature that was poorly promoted and unfairly removed.

The guidance seems to have been updated but was apparently still incorrect as of a month ago. The irony being that the old guidance is what has driven people to feedback and vote on this missing feature and the new guidance doesn’t seem to mention it at all which means the votes will dry up. People can’t vote for something they don’t know exists? I used to find the feature really helpful and one of the best things about Fitbit. I’ve given up and gone with another brand.
