I am on day 997 of getting 10,000 or more steps a day in a row. I was looking forward to seeing 1,000 on a few days. I can’t believe you took that feature away.
I agree. This is a shoddy project, I’m completely baffled that they didn’t do a lot testing on the software, I’m from a software testing background and we NEVER would put out a project this bad. Shame on Google
Hang in there….. it can be fixed!! Mine (so far) is perfect!!! I was extremely frustrated for a while, but apparently they did listen to us and worked on the problem. I’m back to loving Fitbit!!🥰
The Fitbit response to me losing 1070 days of my streak to this poorly engineered APP update is below. They can fix this, they just don't care to:
We are writing to you regarding your Fitbit step streak, which was unfortunately reset following the recent update to the Fitbit app. We understand your frustration and disappointment, and we sincerely apologize for this inconvenience.
Unfortunately, due to technical limitations, we are unable to recover step streaks that have been lost due to app updates. We are constantly working to improve our app and prevent these types of issues from occurring in the future.
We encourage you to continue using your Fitbit and to focus on your health and fitness goals.
Thats terible, and the opposite of what they told me! They told me explicity that there's a new update December 13 that should fix the issue! I'll report back if it actually works for me, and hoepfully it will and will wok for you too
I followed up with fitbit support again and got a new response. I have low confidence in them at this point:

Time to get an Apple watch!!! I've had the same issue and it still makes me so angry!!! As soon as this Fitbit dies, I will be getting an Apple Watch. Fitbit obviously doesn't care about their customers!!
My past step streak data still not restored. Mixed messages from Fitbit/Goggle has left me with little belief they are even working on it. So disappointing.
Mine is not only not fixed, with supports “help” my banner showing my 82 steps since the app upgrade has been deleted and I’m told I need to meet step goal for 7 days to see it again. Still waiting on answer on whether I’m starting at 0 or the 82 days that was in the banner will show back up. I am not confident that it will. The inconsistent reports/updates we are getting from support is frustrating.
