Bring back step streak on new Fitbit app

I am on day 997 of getting 10,000 or more steps a day in a row. I was looking forward to seeing 1,000 on a few days. I can’t believe you took that feature away.

I totally agree - I was over 1000 days...it was a great motivational
feature. My sister & son have been telling me how great the apple watch
is..would love to see this fixed, along w/ the battery notification.

There is literally not one thing I like about the Fitbit update. I actually think it looks less modern and like something I would’ve seen five or more years ago. And I agree with what many other users are saying, the loss of the step streak is very disappointing. Compared to some of these people I was nowhere but I was around 670 days, and now it doesn’t show anymore. I wouldn’t care if it didn’t pop up with animation like it used to, but even if it just showed somewhere that I can see it. Very disappointing all the way around. I am used to Apple products, but I have stuck with my Fitbit rather than switching to an Apple Watch. Updates like this make me feel like I wouldn’t mind starting fresh with something else.

I am a 74 year old woman who was approaching my 3 year 10,000 steps/day goal.  1095 days is no small achievement & as a company who likes award banners I cannot believe you removed the step streak feature!  I feel like you have robbed me.  Please bring it back & restore our old data ASAP!  It is a motivator and an easy correction for you. Please listen to all of us who are disappointed with this change.   Thank you!

I HATE the new look and am beyond upset about losing the step streak banner.  It was a huge motivator for me.  There are so many days I wouldn’t have walked afte4 s long day at work if it wasn’t to keep my step streak. And now it is gone.  Bring back the battery indicator too please

Oh no !!!!  I baffles me that this was taken away. The step streak was the baseline health item that was my north star lol. And don't get me started on the time wasted looking for where this went (never registered that such a cool too would actually be REMOVED). This one hurt Fitbit. Not cool.

I will use this Fitbit until it stops holding a charge.  Based on past experience, I probably only have a few more months (durability is NOT a FitBit strong point).  I doubt I will buy another.  I also have an Apple Watch and while it doesn't count steps the same way, it does a better overall job of tracking other key indicators.

Why in the world would you remove step streak tracking? This has got to be one of the dumbest changes ever made. This feature hurt nobody and motivated many of us. At the very least you could have made it something that we could choose to display or not. I’m on my fifth Fitbit and my wife is on her fourth. We have always recommended them to friends and family but not after this. When it’s time for a new Fitbit we will be looking at something else.

When the redesigned app came out a few days ago, I instantly disliked the design.  It's uninspired and ugly.  It took a few days to realize that my 300+ day step streak is no longer available along with the battery level and fireworks.  I'm going old school and writing the info in my calendar, but what's the point of having a fitness tracker that no longer tracks my activity level nor provides motivators?  I've been limping this old Fitbit Charge 2 along for a few reasons, but now researching other fitness trackers on the market.  This was a disappointing ending.

Totally agree.  Not a fan of all these interface “improvements”.  I liked the daily tracker of my progress and it was a motivator.  No longer can we engage friends in family in challenges and now, we lose our personal motivators.  Please bring this function back.   I’ve been a faithful Fitbit client for more than 9 years but considering switching to another tracker as what I loved is no longer here.  😓

Was soooo bummed when all of a sudden it was gone! Huge motivator. May seem insignificant but was great way to keep on track.

Step streak is a major motivator for me to get out and walk.  I can (maybe) accept the other disastrous choices made by the design team for the new app, but not that one.  Removing it was a Major Fail.

And the poor chat agent seemed defensive and quickly re-directed me to this forum.  I think he was burned out by a lot of angry user feedback.  And not well trained or prepared by FitBit to handle user feedback in response to an app redesign.

It’s a mystery to me how anyone thought the new app design was an improvement!  It’s the worst form of “change for the sake of change”.  The previous app was fine.  No “upgrade” was needed.  Fire the person or team who decided an update was necessary.

I want my step streak back too!  It is a daily reminder to get moving, a wonderful motivator, AND I was up in the 580s!!  I'm still tracking via a day counter app, but WHY?!  It was such a great thing to see each morning after my steps were done!

I was at 999 consecutive days of reaching my step goal and was so looking forward to seeing the 1,000 consecutive days.  One day away and then the app was changed.  Very disappointed.  Please bring back that option as that keeps me going as now I don't want to break the cycle.  I even had a knee scope done in July but still maintained the daily steps.

I greatly dislike the new app! My favorite thing about Fitbit is maintaining my 10k step streak - the daily tally is motivating! I'm at 635+ days and now the data is gone. My step streak (and doing challenges with other Fitbit friends) is the main reason I haven't switched to another device.
It's also not convenient to view battery life.

Please bring back the step count....it's not a Fitbit without it!!!

Same here...this is the only reason I kept a fitbit in addition to my apple watch. I'll wait a few months to see if they bring it back and if not, I will sadly let my fitbit go.

One of the best motivators is the consecutive step streak. Bring back ASAP. Thanks

Today I hit 1000 day step streak! Wish I was able to see that number on the app. Just makes me so angry that they took that away, especially today! Fitbit listen to your customers, bring the step streak back and bring it back to where we left off, not a restart. The data is there, should not be so difficult.

Bring back days in a row. I had 1034 days at 10,000 steps just a couple months shy of 3 years. It’s what motivated me.

Bring back the step streak feature asap.   That's a BIG step backwards to remove without warning or opting in/out.

I had a long step streak that had me really motivated. I’m super bummed they got rid of it. It’s the reason I was sticking with Fitbit and didn’t get an Apple Watch.

To all of you who have just passed a major step milestone, Congratulations!  It is sad FitBIt no longer records our accumulated days of steps & you could not take a picture of that great achievement!   It is VERY sad that despite all the comments on here begging Fitbit to resume the counter & not lose our data recorded - we are hearing crickets from this company.  The customers make & break companies.  I hope they value their customers enough to listen & return the step streak report right under our daily steps as it was before.  How about it Fitbit?   Are you reading these messages?  What say you to your customers???

I completely agree and this is a recurring problem with Fitbit.  You have something that is working great for you and out of the blue you change app or firmware and what you liked is gone and what replaced it is garbage.

I was at 883 days looking to get to a 3 year streak and poof it’s gone.  I found the streak feature motivational and your new app motivating to buy a competitive product

stop the bad updates

The daily step streak was my main motivation - I had over 1125 days. Terrible idea to remove it.

I’d like to know this too.
