Just about every former user of Fitbit hardware does.
The only solution Fitbit has offered is to migrate to a Garmin or equivalent manufacturer who do still respect customer feedback and input and who do still provide the much requested web interface.
I work on a desktop computer and while I own a mobile phone it most often lives in my purse or briefcase as I only look at it when I go to an external (rare) meeting. It is a total PIA to have to look up my FITBIT data on my phone. My phone is used as . . . a phone. My computer is where I access data, write, code and access cloud storage. I know that there are hordes of people wired to their little screens but that is not all of us.
Ditto, @lindarog. As someone in their late 50's, I can confirm that I am one of those people who is not attached to their phones, and when given the option-will choose laptop over phone for almost every task. Fitbit need to take into account the needs of their Gen X users.
Here we are a few years later and Google has not gotten the message, MANY users prefer and actually NEED the larger format of a website to look at OUR health information. I regularly need to screenshot information for my doctors and I also need a larger format to be able to see . Please set a side a small team with your billions of dollars and revive the Fitbit Web Dashboard, again pretty please?
I found this last week. Someone has created an alternative to the missing dashboard. It's not "complete" - but better than the nothing that Fitbit/Google provides.
1) Is our data safe (since this is not Fitbit's App but a third party App) and.... 2) On the Fitbit App we used to be able to see a more detailed breakdown of our exercise (specifically, the route taken when we walked/ran, etc)-do you happen to know if this feature is available?
@Marla_1967 If you take 5 minutes to read the info on that web page you'll be able to answer most of those questions.
I never got to use the Fitbit dashboard - when it existed - so I can't speak to the similarity of features. I just know I want a web / big screen method to see my data.
I also find the food side of things on this web app very reliable - unlike the Fitbit app.
Thanks very much @kbrier58 and @pbaines for your replies. Admittedly, I did not read the privacy policy. Make no mistake, it's great that somebody thought to do this-to make our data available on a laptop as so many of us need/want—I am not criticising the actual work or effort that has gone into it. I merely asked two questions:). I will read the info. on the webpage over the next day or two.
Please restore the website dashboard. It was far more useful than the app. Idk if it is available w/ fitbit premium, but I'm not going to pay for that.
