Bring back the old sleep summary page

When I had my Charge 5 and the first few weeks of having my Charge 6 the app would give me a sleep summary page with, Sleep Stages, Time in each stage, Oxygen levels and Bedtime and wakeup all on a handy page. Since a recent update I now seem to get a much more basic three tiles and I have to open each one and look through for all the information.

I agree. Awful. Previous set out was much easier to read. Please bring it back!

Totally agree, it's another awful update! Hate the new layout, not at all user friendly, please stop this madness! It seems like the majority of users do not like the changes that are being made...

Sleep tracker is abysmal now, was considering upgrading but that won't be happening.
Each 'upgrade' has been a downgrade for user preference and functionality.

Please go back to the sleep stage display you had previously. It is far better than this most recent update and was very easy to work with. Now it is cluttered and difficult to understand the information. I can see that you are trying to provide the same format that you do as steps, for example, to be able to see, week, month, year, data. That is a good idea but please use the previous graph style and presentation, it was far easier to see the data with colors and work with the information.

Perhaps a basic IT rule about making changes should be applied.  CONDUCT A USER TEST BEFORE ROLLING OUT A NEW VERSION.  This sleep display is terrible!

The sleep app makes no sense,  I  can't understand it anymore. I thought something was wrong it. Please change it back!!!! At least give people the option of choosing the old version. If not, I am starting to look for a different health tracker watch. I won't be buying a fitbit again, to hard to read & understand. You lost my business.

The sleep tracker update is AWFUL!!! It is not easy to read at all and the "Restorative" sleep is no longer available either, and we can no longer see sleep/wake-up time at the front...you have to actually open it to find it and even then. Please change this back. Between only having videos of recipes with NO actual recipes and now this recent change to the Sleep Tracker ... paying for Premium is not worth for me. If these remain the same by the time it comes to renew my Premium account, I will NOT be purchasing Premium as it has no added value to me.

My wife noticed that if you touch the new sleep graph, a bar appears that you can move around the graph.  The graph will display precise info about that interval of sleep.  This is much more precise than the previous version.  But definitely not as pretty.

Also, there is an oxygen variation graph, you just have to tap to get to it.

Absolutely agree.   I use the sleep data daily and the latest format is not helpful.

@Lacyse27Whoop has good sleep tracking. I used to have one but switched to FitBit because it fits my wrist better. But if the changes to sleep tracking are not rolled back soon, I'm going back to Whoop for sure, because they understand that being able to see and interact with data is what's important.

Horrible change to sleep tracker.  Fire the idiot who designed this.  Fire the manager who permitted it to published.

PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK OR LET USERS ROLL IT BACK.

The new hypnogram graph is WAY TOO BUSY. The previous graph was much easier to read Why fix something that wasn’t broken (or, if there were complaints about the previous graph, why demolish something that was only slightly wonky?)?

exactly. completely unreadable and only shows the longest sleep session with apparently no way to see the length of a nap (or a session after waking up in the night)

I am also hoping that Fitbit will go back to the old format for sleep data. New format is horrible and definitely NOT an improvement.

Please restore the previous sleep tracker settings. The new version is so much harder to hard to read. Did you road test the new settings with real Fitbit users? It’s hard to imagine anyone who checks their sleep quality every morning like I do thinking this app update is better. Pls bring back the old version!

Oh so glad everyone else hates it, I loved the sleep tracker, so much so I cancelled premium to get the old view back as the premium version was awful. Now it is completely unusable. Everything is changed - and not for the better - and I am hating using the app nowadays, relying on my watch instead. So now I can’t even track my sleep over time effectively - Fitbit stop messing around with it - it was fine and worked

I’ve been using my Fitbit for years, primarily to track my sleep as I really struggle… this change to the display graphics etc is simply awful. Illegible and poorly considered. In fact, none of the recent changes have been for the better…

Fitbit, please go back to when your platform worked at its best.
I have stayed with Fitbit because I liked how easy it was to read… but it’s looking like Apple could well win me over when I decide to upgrade.

This update is terrible.

I mainly use my Fitbit for sleep tracking and this new interface is not useable. The graphs are nonsensical and there's no easy way to compare data over time. I love my Fitbit Luxe but if the app is unusable it's just a watch. This is a huge setback and opens the door for me to start investigating different health tracker options going forward.

I totally agree!!!
it‘s annoying that they changed from a nice, colorful, lovely app to an app, that makes no joy to watch the results 😠

I canceled my premium subscription a while ago and am going to try to get a prorated refund so I don’t have to look at this ugly interface anymore. I’m assuming Google’s intent is to drive away users so that they have an excuse to fire most of their Fitbit employees to save money. A garbage product that is intentionally useless, approved by garbage execs who are intentionally useless.

I made the mistake to update the iOS Fitbit app today.

As part of my routine I daily check my sleep details and update the sleep start and end times manually to generate more accurate data. Here are things that reduced usability for me specifically on the 'Sleep' section:

• If I move my finger along the sleep timeline to find the last and first awake time, my finger must be exactly on the 'Awake' line as otherwise the horizontal bar gets stuck on any of the other sleep phase data.

• Selecting the 'Edit Sleep' button that can be found by clicking on the 3 dot menu feels like Russian Roulette. The menu selection is small and the chance of accidentally selecting another option, such as 'Delete Sleep', is high.

Updating the times takes two more steps as a new 'Sleep Sessions' page has been introduced that requires to select my sleep session before I can edit it. Saving now also has one more step to get back out of the 'Sleep Sessions' page again.

• When selecting a part of the sleep timeline, for example 'Light', the font size of the time duration underneath is too small. Shouldn't the information that a user specific looks into, be presented in a more visible way?

• The 3 buttons labelled 'Sleep stages', 'Benchmark', '30 day average' are designed so wide that they don't fit the page and requires horizontal scrolling on my iPhone 15. If the 'Sleep stages' button is renamed to just 'Stages' (as the page itself is already the 'Sleep' page) you could avoid an unnecessary scrolling element.

Please keep on making more such changes and providing me more reasons to switch to an alternative!

Omg. The new sleep update could not be worse. It’s like they replaced it with an app for children. Why make something less sophisticated and less useful? I will be abandoning Fitbit if they don’t allow users to revert to the old design. Shame on you Google. (Also how did you manage to do such a terrible job? I mean it’s really shocking given how much money and how many staff you have!)
