Bring back the old sleep summary page

When I had my Charge 5 and the first few weeks of having my Charge 6 the app would give me a sleep summary page with, Sleep Stages, Time in each stage, Oxygen levels and Bedtime and wakeup all on a handy page. Since a recent update I now seem to get a much more basic three tiles and I have to open each one and look through for all the information.

I completely agree. I loved the previous sleep tracking. It was very visual, clean, and all the main stats were presented in a way that drew your eye to them.

This new format has WAY too much text on the screens. A lot of this text doesn't matter to me on a daily basis because I've already read it. A huge waste of space and distracting to the eye.

I also can't see the data points I look at without clicking multiple times (i.e. my sleep scores as a long list... now I have to click through to week or month and the info is not prominent, it's very small. The weekly list no longer includes the color coded bar, just the hours of sleep, which doesn't matter so much to me, etc.)

The new format graphs do not have the hours and so you can’t tell at what time you wake up, are in deep sleep etc. Also the restless sleep section is now a summary rather than the graphs. All of this decreases the information I get from my watch and your program. Please go back to the way it was.

When I switch to Benchmark there is no bar data showing for comparison with “other women my age… can only see my data on the bar graph.

totally agree!

Agreed.  I am also very unhappy with the new sleep display. This is so unreadable and apparently irreversible, that I will be leaving the Fitbit community as soon as I can. Who in heaven's name designed this change?!

FitBit's sleep timeline has become virtually unusable.

It isn't just the appearance, though that's a crucial element. It's also the ability to interact with the timeline as a single, unbroken entity. (The new version splits interactivity incoherently across four separate zones—Deep, Light, REM, and Awake.) Landscape mode is also important.

Agree with everyone on the horrible sleep app update.  Every night, it breaks my sleep into two parts. It was easy to combine them in the old app giving me a much better overview of my sleep. New app? Really awful, not usable for me at all. Please allow a choice at least!!!

For me, it's the visuals of the old display that I miss. The new screen is glaring white - horrible to look at first thing in the morning. I miss the lovely blue-based colour scheme.

Most of all, I miss the friendly sun and moon 😞

Please go back to the old format. Though the new format looks nice it is lacking data points and it's not as clear or easily digestible.  The new format lacks the sub category totals and makes it difficult to calculate them. Also comparing sub totals across different nights sleep is near impossible or at least not worth the extra effort it now requires with the new format.

Nah. It's fine. Don't listen to these narci fuss buckets; just give us dark mode, please

Couldn’t agree more. The new format is horrible.

Completely agree!  The fairly robust sleep tracking is the main reason I use my Fitbit and the new report format is pretty useless.  Not only is it harder to read at a glance, but information is actually no longer available -- for example, can no longer click on a period in your sleep timeline to see the exact times; this is something I used daily to track sleep events against environmental events.

That's just one problem with the new report and all of the changes taken together make the sleep tracking pretty useless, and most certainly not something with paying for premium to get.

Please change the sleep information back to previous version. The new version is an eyesore, and not easy to read compared to old version.

NEW update STINKS!!!!! I've use FITBIT for years!!!!  This SLEEP UPDATE is the WORST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sleep tracking is now useless. The graph can no longer be expanded, you can't scroll through the sleep stages any more or click on stats to see exact durations, the colours are terrible, like with the rest of the app, and so much data is now missing.

The sleep update might be the worst update I've seen in an app. The way displayed is unreadable compared to the previous, clean version. You used to be able to see how well you slept at a glance. Please give us the option to go back to the old version.

The old sleep tracker's exciting colors, happy moon, and fireworks added delight to the app which helped motivate me to look at it each day. Also the dark background behind the graph was easier on my eyes first thing in the morning when I typically look at the app. The redesign is devoid of any joy or personality. It feels like I'm looking at a bland chart from the 1990s. I hope Fitbit will reconsider the design of the sleep tracker.

The new design for the Fitbit app sleep data is less readable than the previous.
My suggested fix is to just go back to the previous design and improve on it, not replace it with something that's inferior from an UX point of view. So please don't sacrifice usability just because someone at Fitbit needs to justify their salary or bad decisions.

Please revert to the previous version. That was easy to read (even without my reading glasses) and I could easily interpit my sleep. I'm mostly interested in how I slept on a daily basis. Weekly or monthly I've newer used. I purchased my fitbits (custommer for several years now) mainly to track my sleep. It gave me a pretty desent idea on how my sleep had been. The heart rate and oxygen saturation were also much easier to read. The heart rate was also a good addition to the sleeptracking.

Sorry about the new design in "Sleep" - this isn't good at all. If things are changed it should be for better, not for worse - please go back to the old design!

I totally agree with this post. If the new version is not reverted to the older version I will seriously consider dropping my subscription and moving back to my iWatch which has OK metrics; but better displays than this newest version.  Your R&D department really did a poor job of surveying your users.

Leave it to Google to buy up a successful company such as Fitbit and wreck its already great interface and experience. This was a terrible change. So much harder to decipher and aesthetically sucks.

I disagree with this sentiment and prefer the new design. The same data is there and I can see things easily at a glance. There are fewer taps needed to get to the right information and it is easier to look at in the new format. Please do not revert back to the old design.

The new design is extremely confusing to read and not user friendly. My family and I loved the previous version and unless they roll it back to the previous format we dislike it so much that we are switching to a new fitness watch.
Why on earth would they mess with something that's wasn't broken?

Evidently an employee of Fitbit to say they prefer the new design. There is
no way anyone in their right mind prefers the new design. It is horrendous
to the extreme. I keep checking to see if it is April 1 because this must
be some kind of joke. Fitbit is treating its customers extremely poorly
with this shoddy backwards update.
