Bring back the old sleep summary page

When I had my Charge 5 and the first few weeks of having my Charge 6 the app would give me a sleep summary page with, Sleep Stages, Time in each stage, Oxygen levels and Bedtime and wakeup all on a handy page. Since a recent update I now seem to get a much more basic three tiles and I have to open each one and look through for all the information.

@CRoberts75 Wait, in premium they have normal view right now?

If that’s the case, can the person who said you have to sign up to premium, or somebody who already has premium, post screenshots of the sleep graphics they see so that others can decide whether or not to upgrade?

Thanks

I’m on premium and I have the horrible graphics. Don’t waste your money.

I pay for premium and still have this crappy “upgrade “

Just to test things, last night, I ran a Versa lite on the standard app and my usual Versa 4 runs with the premium app. At the moment the 3 charts for sleep, - sleep pattern, bench mark and 30day average are the same with or without premium. When you drill down you can get the estimated oxygen variation with or without premium but you can’t get the sleeping heart rate graph without premium.

My problem at the moment is that all three charts show the same data - my sleep pattern - I have no benchmarks showing with or without premium.

I’m giving them a few days to rectify the matter before I contact them.

I’ve gotten lots of replies to my post. People have asked if Premium is any different. I have premium, so no, it doesn’t help.

For the most part the sleep data is still there, but harder to find and harder to read. The new “graphics” are awful. They need to go back to what they had before.

Why do Fitbit designers hate us? I've been loyal for years but these terrible UIs over and over again make me want to jump ship so badly!!!

It seems clear tat Google is deliberately destroying Fitbit's UI and functionality to make way for Pixel. It's a shame... I genuinely found the sleep app to be very useful. It's mostly useless now. Clearly, Google/Fitbit will not listen to the users, though.

It's time to find another option... maybe Garmin?

I was the Army’s chief assessor of the human usability of developing combat systems. If I would have seen such a terrible display as the new sleep duration diagram, I assure you, it would have been changed. I have rarely seen such a poor human-user interface. I am shocked.

Ahhh, and that is a good question. I'm evidently the only one out there
that really doesn't mind this. Yeah, it's not great, but certainly not
going to leave what I've used for 10 years (I think) over it. That being
said, where can you go for a $200 tracker that lasts for 5 days and gives
you great info? So the new sleep is not as good, I still get what's
important to me, my score, my sleep stages, and total time. None of that
has changed. I'm not jumping ship over some gui gripes.

But I will be curious what the replies are you get from everybody that said
they were leaving.

@LizzyFitbit Are the developers who made the changes to the sleep tracker reading everyone’s feedback or only comments that have 1000+ likes?

When is Fitbit going to give us the courtesy of a response to the same points repeatedly made by thousands of loyal customers on this page.

They need to tell us why they introduced these changes and whether they would consider bringing back the old design

Then at least we know where we stand and whether it’s time to start shopping for a new device.

The graphs are not good. Very difficult to read and more difficult to understand. Who thought this was an improvement???? Please fix this!! I like the watch, but am very disappointed in the current situation.

Wish I knew. I’m doing some research now. Unfortunately when you pay for a product you expect it to provide the services that you had when you made the decision to purchase!

I did contact Fitbit and got the chat robot thing...basically told me to get used to it, the old format isnt coming back.
I have found my sleep tracker is not getting the sleep and wakeup times any near close to accurate.

Why should we have to pay to upgrade in order to get the graph we’ve
enjoyed for many years? This sounds like the new owner trying to extract
more money. They already caused many users to have to buy new devices
after their firmware “update” destroyed the battery life of year old
devices.

Thank God for this knowledgeable backup to what most are us thinking/saying of this atrocious “update”.

The sleep graph is incredibly hard to use

• Scale on bottom is unclear

• Scale doesn’t have hour dividers

• You can’t see the timings of little sleep sections, if there is for example some time awake it’s hard to click on as the highlight with the time just lands on Light Sleep next to it

• Doesn’t have the nice colours anymore

• The time totals on the left get in the way of the graph lines

Please allow us to switch back

Please listen to users and either change the sleep data back to an easier to read and more informative style, or give us the option to change back. This new data graphic is appalling. Impossible to read, lacks key information, is ugly, not user friendly and basically just awful. I'm not even sure what the rationale was for the changes...how can this version be better?

I hate it.

Please revise the Sleep App and return it to prior to latest  update!!!

At least return the percentages of the different types of sleep in total.

I really dislike the new graph!!

It's very important to me.

Thanks,

I'd like to join the chorus of complaint about the new sleep display but take it one further and report a bug.  I have used the system for a few years and loved it.  I have a Versa 2 and an Oppo Android phone.  When I try and view my sleep against benchmark, the bars for benchmark range don't display.  So it's actually useless.

My wife's system has an equally ugly display but at least it works and I can see what it's supposed to look like.

So I'm wondering.  What platform is everybody using here?  I mean, yes, the interface is not as good, but I'm not getting any inaccuracies when I look at my sleep stats.  The Awake, REM, Light, and Deep are all accurate on my phone, They are at least in line with what I've been getting for years.  The only thing not working is the benchmark view on mine, I don't see the overlay, but I do see the percentages. .  It does work on my wife's.  She has a Pixel 7a and I have a Pixel 6 Pro.  I have a Versa 4 and she has a Lux.

Now, I don't have a complicated sleep pattern, that is I don't get up much, usually once or twice for about 15 to 30 minutes.  I look at the clock when that happens so I  know the app is accurate for that.  Both our phones are fully patched.  Anybody on this thread PIxel users?  Has anybody seen the Garmin app on Android?
