Bring back the old sleep summary page

When I had my Charge 5 and the first few weeks of having my Charge 6 the app would give me a sleep summary page with, Sleep Stages, Time in each stage, Oxygen levels and Bedtime and wakeup all on a handy page. Since a recent update I now seem to get a much more basic three tiles and I have to open each one and look through for all the information.

The new upgrade is terrible. The sleep portion is pretty useless. There is no point in sticking with fitbit if they provide a worse app with an upgrade.

Please please please the most value I get out of my Fitbit is analyzing my sleep and I can’t do that anymore with the current format please bring back the old format. There was nothing wrong with it. It worked perfect. The new format does not help a person see at a glance how they are doing on their sleep. I’ll have to go to an aura ring, and stop using Fitbit.

Agree on sleep app change.

Why would I ever pay for Fitbit Premium, it’s bad enough we are receiving these useless updates, but at least we are being charged for them, that would be adding insult to injury

Yes, calling customer service on how to restore to original sleep display advised to post on community and if enough it would be considered.  But that’s the thing that turned horrible since Google got involved with Fitbit. They won’t even fix their Aria scales and have discontinued the best features that the old scales

There are almost 900 negative reviews on another blog.  Please bring back the old sleep tracker graphs.  Listen to your customers!

Thanks for the mention on the Samsung! 🙂 I’ll be looking into it also since my Fitbit is coming up on 2 years and I noticed my battery on the Fitbit isn’t lasting as long after being charged.

I agree with a majority of these comments. The new sleep graph (light colors on a nearly white background) is extremely hard to read. The app has felt very clunky lately, for lack of a better term, and I find I'm less likely to check in on it.

I agree.  I relied on the Dashboard on a daily basis.  I'll look for something better, especially since FitBit doesn't even send emails informing members, premium members, about these downgrades and missteps.  What a disaster.

Totally agree. Actually don’t like any of the new purple design. Old one was much easier to read.

I agree totally,  BRING BACK the old sleep layout. The updated version is hard to understand.

I agree, the worst part is the incomprehensible ‘new’  benchmark to compare population sleep patterns with same age/gender . Please restore everything as it was , it wasn’t broke !!!

So why are they not responding? I had a rubbish sleep last night where I woke for an hour and half at 4am. Fell asleep 5.30am until 7.30am and this sleep period does not show on the app. Totally and utterly useless. When this dies this is the last fitbit I will have. Apple iPhones removed the camera roll a few years back. After outcry, they bought it back. Fitbit can do the same, I doubt it but let’s see. That’s the only thing that will stop me from moving elsewhere. If this rubbish sleep update remains, I will be gone. But they don’t seem to care that many of us are saying this!

Its HORRIBLE. The sleep dashboard was probably my last favourite thing about fitbit so now I really don’t see a point in wearing one any more. Time to move on

Its the worst. Impossible to read, why are the types of sleep all a different shade of a horrible colour? So difficult to use and this was my only favourite thing about my fitbit. Time to move on.

I agree with this post! I have already begun researching other trackers with sleep monitoring. And I expect the alternative I select to keep what I purchased it for! I am a long time Fitbit user. Dissappointed in the change with sleep and Oxygen variation and exercise fat burn graph was hard to locate after the change in it this past year.

Dear Community and Fitbit developers!

I have the old charge 2 unit and So I am not considered a customer anymore since there is no way to contact Fitbit Developers from Sweden; OR is the hour now 1 pm too early for you and you are out of office in your site in the US?

Anyway,

I also find that the sleep summary page latest development is not optimal. Why change something that works and looks ok to something worse?

I do not understand the sleep comparison percents. What are the percent numbers? Percents of what and compared to what?

It seems unfinished and totally unexplained and not usable.

Before you could quickly see comparisons and everything else.

Sleep data is important to me and others here it seems. That important that I write in this community while unable to contact the real "culprits"!

Probably you will not read this anyway big and important as you have become, Fitbit Developers, and I am only one of your first customers and still holding on to the very first Charge 2. And I am too old to get a new one. Why should I? Are we not meant to conserv enery and resources and KEEP the old Fitbit units as long as possible and not spiral onwards anymore in this consumer race to hell?

Fitbit "developers"; bring back the old version because this is stupid compared to the version before!

Thanks,

Diasuske

Where the f*CK is the sleep score!! That is the only reason I wear the produce. Bring the number back!!!

I have tried to learn to like this new design. I really am trying. But it just sucks so much. The old design I could get my data quickly, now it takes several clicks and is so difficult to read. BRING THE OLD DESIGN BACK!!

Lueds55

Everything about the new design is wrong!  I just went to check my weekly sleep scores & it’s another idiotic graph. You have to tap & hold each day individually to get the actual score for that day. Before your weekly scores were all laid out together & you could see them all at once. Hopefully they’re going to fix all of this soon. I see a lot of people jumping ship already. If it’s not fixed, I’ll be joing them as soon as my device dies. WHERE ARE THE MODERATORS IN ALL OF THIS?? It seems we’re being ignored & they’re hoping we will all give up & go away. Well we’ll go away alright, to a competitor!

It seems apparent that no one at Fitbit even wants to appease their customers. Infuriating and insulting! They just send you to the Community Forums to complain to each other but they don’t even honor the questions with a valid response.

The sleep screen is horrendous and does not track accurately. The readiness score doesn’t populate unless I refresh multiple times. The exercise days is not accurate.

JGal2024

Yes! Exactly! It’s so blatant, its insulting. This is a David and Goliath
situation. I can just imagine a meeting with someone saying "I don’t think
the customers will be very happy with this change." And then some shmarmy
over achiever not interested in serving customers says, "They'll raise a
little stink for a few weeks, but then they'll all lose interest and fade
away. Who has the time to do anything about it? Eventually they'll just get
tired, worn out or forget and then they'll need a new watch and we'll get
them to buy the google. We'll lose a few loyal customers, but we can afford
that. It's worth it." That's what I keep imagining as how else can this
totally obtuse customer service be explained? No questions answered and
being given the run around when pressed for explanations. Hopefully my
cynicism is ill-placed and there is something different going on, I like to
imagine the best of people if I can, but I feel like all of us dissatisfied
customers are a calculated and "acceptable" risk and loss on someone’s
spreadsheet (no knock against spreadsheets, I love them, when their powers
are used for good). It feels as though we are just a line item of loss in a
larger plan. Even so, Fitbit/Google, it could be done in so much MUCH more
respectful way. Fitbit/Google, you are not just losing customers for a
product, you are losing respect and goodwill...I think you need to add
another column on your spreadsheet for that, those costs are much higher
and last much longer.

If you are not going to budge on this and either revert back or give
customers the option to do so, or do a new uodate that takes into account
these complaints, or even if you are going to do any of that, at least do
the decent thing and communicate with us, your (previously) loyal
customers! Have the decency to tell us directly that you have heard us and
that you do or don’t plan on addressing this and why. And if you really
want to do the right thing, automatically refund all dissatisfied
customers the cost of one years premium (whether or not they choose to
cancel) for basically removing the product we paid for...and while you are
at it, toss in a voucher for the cost of people that are so dissatisfied
having to go out and buy a new watch from another company. You are making
all of us pay for your stubbornness and questionable business practices.

Do better! You can do better, so do better. Please.
