Bring back the old sleep summary page

When I had my Charge 5 and the first few weeks of having my Charge 6 the app would give me a sleep summary page with, Sleep Stages, Time in each stage, Oxygen levels and Bedtime and wakeup all on a handy page. Since a recent update I now seem to get a much more basic three tiles and I have to open each one and look through for all the information.

Wish I had read some reviews before updating - this new app is atrocious and in particular the sleep information. It used to be so clean and clear but is now a clutter of useless graphs. Come on Fitbit (Google) isn't it about time you admitted to stuffing up and going back to the drawing board before people start making the switch to a more user friendly product ?

The basic sleep data is not coming out anymore. There are no numbers for deep sleep or REM most of the time.  I used to have premium but I'm not renewing it since the basic stuff doesn't even work anymore.

I haven't read all the thousands of comments on this thread, but found it because my fitbit inspire 3 has suddenly changed it's  sleep display.  Instead of a line graph showing DEEP, LIGHT, REM, AWAKE, I am getting a block graph, which shows SLEEP,  RESTLESS,  AWAKE.  Instead of showing that I slept for 6-7 hours, it's giving me sleep totals of 2-4 hours, which is useless.  PLEASE  show us a way to get back the old display.   This problem appears to have started for some people at the end of March 2024.  How much longer will we have to wait?  This is my second fitbit in 4 years, and I won't be buying another.

Sorry for submitting this twice, but I can't find how to delete the second one.

My fitbit inspire 3 used to show me a line graph with 4 sleep stages of   DEEP,  LIGHT,  REM,  AWAKE, and usually gave my sleep total as 6-7 hours.,  Now is shows a bar graph with only 3 stages,  SLEEP,   RESTLESS,  AWAKE, and gives my daily sleep total as 2-4 hours.   This is rubbish.   This is my second fitbit in 4 years, and it will be my last.   If this problem is not fixed soon, I will be returning it for a refund and buying another brand.

I’ve had Fitbit for years (several devices). I switched to Apple for daily wear because it worked much better with my iPhone and I can make and receive phone calls. I continued to use Fitbit for sleep tracking. The changes to the sleep app are horrible. It’s completely useless. I was planning to replace my sleep watch soon so I guess I’ll have to ditch Fitbit and try something different if the app doesn’t change.  It makes me sad because Fitbit has been so good for years and now it’s useless.

I couldn't agree more.  For the last year or two, for every step forward, Fitbit has taken two steps back.  Get the workers back who understand the users, the difference between an exercise tracker and and smart watch, and who are committed to building a business by consistantly meeting the user's demands instead of constantly chasing shortcuts and upselling.  Why would I even consider being a premium member when the base product is being constantly downgraded?  I cannot get any stress score (despite numerous reboots, re-installing the app, etc.) and my breathing score is erratic - I miss about 20%.  I'm not doing anything wrong (according to everything I read) so I have to believe it is the product.

@LizzyFitbit, moderators should actually review complaints too, like this one: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Inspire-3/New-Sleep-Graphics-Data-Unreadable/m-p/5580160#M7590.  Lots of people there with the same concerns.  Not every fitbit user is forum-savvy enough to know to come and vote on feedback.  Also, I don't know how the "best answer" gets chosen in these forums, but sometimes the answers don't seem to be answers at all (for instance in the linked forum topic).

Couldn't agree more.

I agree. The previous sleep graph was much more user friendly. The new one is confusing and unrelatable.

If the old version is not reinstated I will go elsewhere for the information I need on a daily basis. It’s a shame,  as I am a long time Fitbit user. It’s hard to understand why Google doesn’t communicate with all of us unhappy customers.i expect that good communication is essential for a business that provides such personal data information to its users.

I’m in total agreement that this new update is a step backward! The color graph was so much more user friendly!

there is a way to revert the app to fix the sleep graphs

I found it out on Facebook Fitbit groups

there is also a way using settings
.. settings, apps, Fitbit, clear data, then re-setup the app and your

Since the changes to the way sleep tracking is displayed my device has been consistently failing to register fragmented sleep. The new display is also a horrible mess.

The old Fitbit sleep data was the single reason I’ve stayed loyal to Fitbit and haven’t switched to Apple Watch. This new update to the sleep data is awful, and if they don’t change it back, I will be making the switch to Apple watch

I agreed (and AGREED) with you. I have hounded Fitbit support teams and
indicated to them that if they don't revert the Sleep portion of the app, I
would toss my Fitbit in the garbage.

Fitbit responded by removing all external support options (you can no
longer open a ticket, the support email has been shut down). Fitbit has
been COMPLETELY silent on any return to a proper Sleep version.

I will have my Oura ring this week. I haven't worn my Fitbit for a week and
will never buy a Google product EVER again.

Google has lost a lot of customers because of this and many other "updates" that they have made to the Fitbit. It makes me wonder if they are just trying to phase it out step by step.

I’m also finding the new version not very accurate.
It showed me in a light sleep when I was definitely up.

The new layout is so hard to read and if I haven't got used to it after a month or two, I doubt I'll ever like it. If you have to cut into a graph with the text explaining what it represents then something is very wrong. Just seen the screen grab of the old layout and I miss it

The most needed feature for me here is a better metric on the Sleep Timeline. Can we get the old X Axis back? I can’t tell what time events happen on the Y axis. The time is too random. Bring back large hash marks for hours and then subdivide to half hour or quarter hours.

Please bring back the sleep graph.   The new one is horrible,  especially for visually impaired.   Had a brain tumor removed & vision  isn't  totally  back yet & new sleep graph is useless.  Can't  see  it.  All jumbled!  Please give us options! Thank You.

Pixel WATCH ... it's Google's idea on a Fitness watch (not at good as the
Fitbit but may be better now that Fitbit destroyed the only USABLE thing
about the Fitbit (Sleep app)
