Bring back the old sleep summary page

When I had my Charge 5 and the first few weeks of having my Charge 6 the app would give me a sleep summary page with, Sleep Stages, Time in each stage, Oxygen levels and Bedtime and wakeup all on a handy page. Since a recent update I now seem to get a much more basic three tiles and I have to open each one and look through for all the information.

I am very disappointed with the sleep monitoring downgrade. Sleep tracking has been very helpful to me over the years and the new downgrade seems to provide only data on sleep duration. If Fitbit is continuing to collect sleep data, please return a more complete sleep summary page reflecting all the data collected.

Sad, disappointing, and very surprising this has not been addressed by Google with the thousands of complaints.

My opinion on what is going on here. Google Pixel watches could not compete with Fitbit watches. Pixel watches are more expensive and when they bought Fitbit were an inferior product. Instead of competing with Fitbit they bought the company instead. We are now seeing Google slowly killing off Fitbit. A clue. If you have followed Fitbit over time they would introduce new and updated products in November for the upcoming holiday season. What did the introduce this year for the holidays? Crickets. The only reason Google purchased Fitbit was to eliminate the competition and poach a few features. Google will continue to discontinue things that we liked about Fitbit until there is nothing left. They will then completely discontinue Fitbit.

I got my first Fitbit Zip when they first came out and had several Fitbits over the years. The last I knew I had logged millions of Fitbit steps. I no longer know how many steps because this total step count is also gone for good. My Versa 3 is still working fine. But I don't know what I will get when I need a new one. It likely won't be an overpriced Pixel

Now I'm even more confused.

On 11/12 my sleep timeline was downgraded to the simple sleep duration chart.

On 11/13 I found this community and posted a comment requesting Google bring the detailed sleep timeline back.

On 11/14 my detailed sleep timeline came back including Awake, REM, Light, Deep. Exactly like before the downgrade. I thought 'Thank You Google, you are listening to your customers'.

On 11/15 I was downgraded again to the simple duration chart.

I'm not sure how to interpret this. The data and the means to process it are still there, is there something we can do to get it back?

What does it look like?  I’ve posted my below

Yesterday after months on not updating I finally did😔. The reason was it was taking hours to charge and I’m hoping it solves it.

miss the old sleep timer but all info seems to be there, just not as clear.

For example my sleep oxygen just said low.  I looked it up and that appears to be normal.  Much preferred the old easy at a glance chart.  Here’s what I have now.

Hi,

Going off my experience, you get the very basic chart when you have t had enough sleep to compute it or if you score is below a certain level.

i am still getting the hideous sleep and my sleep data from the Feed page has gone.

However, this week,  I have had two very promising things happen.  First of all I received an email from Google asking me about my experiences with the Versa 4 and the app.  When I had completed the questionnaire it asked me whether I was prepared to speak further. As I had given them both barrels in the questionnaire I agreed to their request - whether it happens remains to be be seen.

Then yesterday when I was using the app ( a rare occurrence these days) it asked me how I was liking the app and a number of other questions - you can imagine my reply.

The questionnaire told me that when one company buys another company it’s called ‘an acquisition’!  Well, in my day, this was called ‘asset stripping’.

Im taking this to be encouraging signs that someone is beginning to listen.

I still have not updated the app and I still have not moved my account over to google so I still have all the old stuff that everyone misses.  I am also on an android, and everything is still working great.  I would like to upgrade, but after seeing all the comments on here I really don't want to.  I will keep using the old version for as long as I can.  I have been with Fitbit for 10+ years and have had many of their products and i have always loved this product.  I really wish Google would pay attention to all these comments and realize what they did.  I really miss the challenges as well. they were so fun and it was great encouragement.

Annieb57 I am hopeful for you that you get some response from them on your questionnaire and that maybe they are starting to listen.

I can't seem to reply to previous posts.  this is for Vallaing:

I get the same thing on my fitbit inspire 3. it's only a year old and i updated it a few weeks ago, i think.

what i don't like is they took away our ability to delete extra sleeps because we dared to sit still for a few hours.  so it counts on the score.    sit at the computer, sometiems i sit and read for a couple hours.  i thought it didn't count anything less than 3 hours.  sometime i do actually nap so that dosn't bother me.

I never upgraded my app & have posted here many times that there is a way
to get to the old sleep summary. I use it every day

For me the new sleep data isn't the biggest issue. The complete inaccuracy of it is the problem. Telling me I was asleep when I was wide awake doing things, not reading my sleep when I was actually sleeping. Giving me inaccurate heart rate. It's useless to me if it isn't accurate anymore.

But isn't it just a summary and not an active daily report?

Same experiences with my Versa 3.

Almost like someone else is wearing my watch.

My Fitbit was very accurate right up until the app change. Nothing makes any difference. I've tried changing it from Sensitive to Normal and back again, tried my right arm, tried deleting and reloading the app, tried restarting the Fitbit umpteen times. Tried cleaning the sensors. It just does not work anymore. I've bought an Apple watch, and though it is not perfect it at least accurately tracks my sleep and heart rate, which is my main reason for even having this type of watch.

The detailed sleep graph is literally the only reason I started wearing my Fitbit again and it’s not there. I started the trial of Fitbit premium and it’s still not there. I already wear an Apple Watch but remembering that Fitbit is so much better for sleep tracking I went back to Fitbit (still wearing Apple Watch on other wrist). So aggravating.

It's such an easy thing for them to fix or offer it as an option.
I never updated my fitbit app and can still get the old sleep summary that
was there originally with just a few extra steps

So I had an update to my watch[Google pixel watch 2] the other day - it was the delayed Wear OS v5.0 update.
I again now do have the (previous) more detailed version of sleep data back, including the Awake/REM/Light/Deep stages and also the Sleep Score has returned for me!
Hopefully it stays this way...

craig13mcc did you have the new sleep update and it’s gone back to the old or you had the old, updated and still have the old?  Thanks just curious

I've always kept my phone Fitbit app, watch Fitbit app and my Google watch updated.
From July-Sept I had the "old" more detailed sleep stages, then there was an update for my phone app,
Between Oct-this week it was the "new" simplified sleep date, then my watch got the Google Wear OS update,
It has now reverted back to the "old" more detailed sleep stages.
Hope that's cleared it up.
