Bring back the old sleep summary page

When I had my Charge 5 and the first few weeks of having my Charge 6 the app would give me a sleep summary page with, Sleep Stages, Time in each stage, Oxygen levels and Bedtime and wakeup all on a handy page. Since a recent update I now seem to get a much more basic three tiles and I have to open each one and look through for all the information.

The new sleep update is confusing and it is too small to read. There is no landscape and everything seems to be jumbled in to one big mess. Thus is the worst update I gave seen from Fitbit. Change it back immediately. We should not have to wait for the next update cycle. Change it back NOW.

They need to change this back immediately. We should not have to wait for the next update cycle.

I contacted the 24hr chat thing at Fitbit...I was told basically, to get used to it! The old format isnt coming back. So I guess I will shopping for a new health tracker!

The new sleep graph is HORRIBLE. Why do you have to keep changing things?

Aghh 😤 I can’t believe so many people are telling Fitbit how bad the new sleep data is and yet there is no willingness to reconsider the changes. Is it a deliberate decision to sabotage the sleep data for customers? It seems for many people the sleep data is the main reason they own a Fitbit.

I absolutely hate the sleep update! It's infuriating how difficult it is to view the information when it used to be so easy. Every update it just gets worse. First the colors and design turned hideous to look at, now I can't even swipe to see the individual categories of sleep. Can't stand it!

It’s obvious that Google could care less what their customers want. They can’t even provide some explanation… because it’s not worth their time and effort. Keep this in mind if ever considering the purchase of any future Google products/services.

It and the oxygen levels are the reason that I wear one. Time to look elsewhere

Have you done any research before you updated. I would recommend to do so. Most users probably want to view a quick overview of their weekly sleep score. The graph is now overly complicated. Not everyone spends hours analyzing their daily data. It should not have such a rocket science approach. It it not Google Analytics. You should review.

To see the percentages of each phase click the "benchmark" button

The new sleep data user interface is terrible. The previous UI was so much better for the user.

I hope they see all the negative comments and they restore the former sleep
patterns.

It would be handy if the benchmark button showed some benchmarks. I've got
three charts (sleep, benchmark and 30 day average) which all show the same
data i.e. the same data as my sleep data from the first chart. Madness!

Whilst I agree with your overall view - the update is HORRIBLE - you *can* select individual spots on the graph.... just hold your finger on it then move left- right.  Like other parts of the update,  it isn't intuitive.  The fact this update was simply dumped on us with nothing notified directly to users by way of introduction,  heads up,  pointers or change summaries says to me that the changes are all about Google stamping its arrogant authority and stroking its market ego than about what users of the product actually want.  Shame on Google.

Absolutely a very good reason plus the oxygen level meter. Both of which are fairly useless. I contacted the Fitbit chat thing and it told me to basically deal with it as there are no plans to change it back.. So I just said, I will be researching another health monitor device from another company, one that I can read!

I’m completely baffled by the purpose of the update to the sleep data display. It is much more difficult to understand, it’s an affront to good design principles, and it’s the aesthetic equivalent of a train wreck. The summary page used to be easy to understand - I am still trying to figure out where to find some of the data I used to be able to access easily. The oxygen variability chart is literally just presented as…a line, with no context, no units, no axes. On what planet is this useful? On what planet is any of the new design useful?

As many others have said, the sleep tracking function is one of the key features for me - it’s why I have a FitBit. I was planning to upgrade my Charge 4, and now I’m investigating changing brands.

to jump from the frying pan into the fire.

The new update makes Fitbit completely worthless. How can a product that claims to help clients manage their health completely fail to provide their customers with effective use of my their own data? With this new update I can no longer view my detailed sleep history, it only shows the last two days. I have been using this for over 5 years and if this doesn’t get fixed I will be leaving your company.

Hopefully if we all complain to them, they will fix the issue! I chatted online with them. They logged my complaint and then directed me here. I created an account here today just to address this issue. I am so glad to see that I am not alone with this complaint! I hope to see Fitbit correct this asap!!!

As scientist your graphs are terrible. Previous version was much easier to read and interpret. Cannot differentiate between low and high oxygen now either.
Return to previous version.
