Bring back the old sleep summary page

When I had my Charge 5 and the first few weeks of having my Charge 6 the app would give me a sleep summary page with, Sleep Stages, Time in each stage, Oxygen levels and Bedtime and wakeup all on a handy page. Since a recent update I now seem to get a much more basic three tiles and I have to open each one and look through for all the information.

I just canceled my premium subscription because of the sleep summary change. Good luck with the Apple Watch.

Indeed. My wife loves her new Apple watch way more then her old Fitbit and it's sleep summary is just like the old one Fitbit replaced.

I'm on Android so it's Fitbit or some other buggy Android watch 😞

I'm sure there is a "No Compete" in the sale of Fitbit. Too back the old people can't give some company the Scripting language or whatever it is called so they can create a new app like the old one. Just wishfull dreaming!!!

I have also asked Fitbit to bring back the old sleep format and supported others throughout. Google does not listen and has no intention of doing so. So after 10plus years I’ve cancelled my premium subscription.   This has taught me that Google isn’t quite as they seem and I now use other search engines.  Be careful Google and don’t take your customers for granted. I might be one person but there’s a fair few disgruntled people out there and now we know you don’t give a monkeys about your customers then it changes your mindset about your wider purpose and intentions .

I have an apple watch & don’t like it as well

So it’s October 2nd and I’ve been getting the message to update my app or it won’t function properly.  I let the Fitbit luxe run out of battery a couple days before and so far it’s still the old sleep summary however, when I  look at apps needing updating, the Fitbit one is no longer there at all.   Guess I’ve flown under the radar but I realise that I now probably won’t get any updates and eventually will affect the functions, but today at least it seems to be working fine.

I can't even determine what "working fine" is anymore. It's been a long time.

The other day I was charging my phone and forgot to wear it before bed and slept the entire night with it charging and not worn.
In the morning, the app told me that the watch had burned up 563 calories!
All by itself!

Ok I stopped using my Fitbit for months now, since the update, in hopes they would change the sleep data page back. So, is it safe to say now that it’s October that it’s never changing back? So sorry to have to switch to something else.

The sleep graph and the new app updates are trash. Bring back the old one please. I will be moving to a different product after many years of this is not resolved.

Google is going down by turning off app like the Fitbit sleep app that
worked very well. They replaced with a terrible update to make Fitbit
customer angry. If Google care about customers, they should listen to
thousands customers and roll back to the old sleep monitor app.

I am switching to another fitness tracker when my latest Fitbit wears out (it's pretty useless now!). I don't use it much since Google took over and started to ruin it. It takes forever to sync; it will not sync while out and away from wifi despite a decent 4G signal; it lists only one activity at a time on the app (eg if you go for a run, it lists the run; then soon after you go for a walk, the walk is listed but not the run) and you can't even look at your Dashboard online any more for that kind of detail or to add activities because Google has removed it. The sleep tracker is rubbish; the look of the dashboard is rubbish. It has become completely unreliable and sometimes bits of it or all of it just stop working. I liked it a lot before Google got its hands on it and I had been using it for many years since soon after its launch in the UK.

Yes - totally agree with all of these, especially the difficulty of syncing
when I want to read the data and not when Google decides to make it
available to me. And only being able to see one exercise on a screen. And
not being able to read heart rate when an exercise is being tracked. And,
and, and......🤬🤬🤬

Yes! Well said.

Google, these comments should not be dismissed as a minority viewpoint or curmudgeon sentiment from people who don’t want to change. These are voices speaking for the majority of customers and they are telling you that you messed with something important and your changes made it worse, not better.

Thought I had a post somewhere among these 92 pages of comments about how bad the new sleep page is. I haven't had any problems with this Google change to the reports because I've been accessing my sleep history through the "Compose" page and sending myself a copy by email from time to time. The graph and data is in the old Fitbit format and enough data is there for me to review my nights sleep and awake moments.

Is this method you describe available to IOS 12 users?

I use an iPad operating iPadOS 16.6 and Fitbit app for iOS 4.25. A number of fixes should be made to the app.

I wish I knew how to do these things. Guess I can see if my son can help
with this when I visit in February.

I really hate the new sleep app.  The old sleep chart told me at a glance what kind of night I'd had.  The new graph is just garish. It's probably time to look for a new fitness tracking system, anyway. (I've been on this one since 2015).

Please, everyone, let us know if you find a new tracker that is has the sleep app somewhat close to the old Fitbit one!

I see what you mean about sending an email.  I have the old sleep version for now and just tried but it doesn’t give the oxygen levels which I’m interested in.   I have a luxe and to anyone wanting to email to yourself,  click on sleep duration, then a specific day and hit the download button, press share then next, then share somewhere else and email will come up as an option but won’t have oxygen levels.  Good thought that it has the old sleep levels

I have found a way to get back into the old sleep data system. I click on
walk under activity because I have walks set up. It then takes me to the
walk page. I then click on the up arrow at the top of that page. It then
brings up a list of options and if I click on sleep it takes me to the old
sleep data.

The update 4.27.1 was installed some time this morning and since I've discovered that there isn't a sleep history tile on the "Compose" page. No more scrollable sleep history. No sleep history! Previously my version of the app was at 4.25 and I had a few work arounds for some of the problems with the app. Yesterday I posted one such workaround for the sleep graphs. Forget it unless Google lets us know where they are. The developers also have found a way to use the Exercise heart rate graphs in the Fitbit style with fewer data points on the graph. They've turned the Share icon (Square box with up arrow) at the top of an exercise summary page into a direct link to bring up the heart rate graph for that exercise. You can't access history through the exercise summary anymore. Probably not a bad move since there's a button to go straight to email.

I went into settings and prevented an automatic update so mine has not
updated.
