Bring back the old sleep summary page

When I had my Charge 5 and the first few weeks of having my Charge 6 the app would give me a sleep summary page with, Sleep Stages, Time in each stage, Oxygen levels and Bedtime and wakeup all on a handy page. Since a recent update I now seem to get a much more basic three tiles and I have to open each one and look through for all the information.

The new app no longer shows sleep score and stages with benchmarks.

Please revise the new app to include this information.

I hate the new sleep stats. The old version was great and I could perfectly scroll through and obtain info. The new version looks like it’s from the 90s. Not up-to-date or easy to read.  Please change back. If not I may have to switch to Apple Watch.

If it ain't broke, please don't fix it! The new display is barely interpretable. Also ugly. Please give us the old one back!

New graphs are not just hard to read, you can’t combine fragmented sleep intervals. It’s hard to see week overview of average hours and scores.

I’m exactly with this plan.  I’ve used Fitbit since it started.  Bought many of them for myself and family.  Recently I was forced to buy a new replacement caused by company software update .  Now I won’t even use my favourite feature,  the sleep app,  because of this stupid new  design.  Could Google just get the Fitbit people back and leave them alone?

I am so disappointed with this app update. I wish I could go back to the old version. One of my favorite things to track is sleep and this update has made it completely unusable. I have been faithful to Fitbit for as long as I can remember. If it isn't corrected, I'm going with a different brand. That is how bad it is!

New sleep dashboard is awful. Where are the percentages of amount slept in each stage of sleep Numbers alone mean I have to do the math. It's hard to see the results in a line graph why it was simple to see in a bar graph.

I'm paying for the premium sleep apps and I don't get them. In addition if I fall asleep before 12, wake up for an hour and go back to sleep it is listed as an app on the day before. I used to be able to delete what isn't a nap, but is interrupted sleep. Then headed to sleep on that day and combine the two. And get my real amount to sleep and by evening it would have processed all the awake asleep and interrupted sleep together. Now I cannot delete the naps and it makes it really hard to figure out how many hours of sleep I got. In addition I agree with everyone else that it's ugly and hard to figure things out. Why did you do this to us?

I am aware thatonce you make edits you could put functions back as you've done that before when you took away the battery and the upper left. So please don't tell us we're stuck with this and at least make minor changes that will keep us as customers and make the app more useful.

could you please make it possible to delete the nap so we could edit to real sleep functions together. And please also include the percentages as well as the amount of sleep as you did before.

I recognize we're stuck with this disgustingly ugly ugly graph that I hate but at least put back the functions we are paying for this data especially the folks like me who paid for premium.

The new sleep graphs make the reading of sleep data difficult. When I select "benchmark", I only get to see my percentages per sleep stages compared to undefined benchmark boxes. The benchmark boxes are meant to show a range of percentages but these numbers are absent.

Agreed. Bring the old chart back. Thinking of dropping the app . . . .

Abhor the new sleep chart. Goodbye Fitbit

Just cancelled my premium account due to the change in the sleep tracker. This device now officially sucks in my opinion.

I agree with all the other commenters regarding the changes to the sleep app layout-horrible. I have yet to read one person say that this is an improvement. Bring back the old version!

I'm with you on this. I'll wager they won't roll back the update so I'm thinking I'll look for another tracker device. Too bad I don't do Apple products or I would jump to the Apple Watch right now.

I'm going to upvote anything complaining about the sleep data display changes. They are horrible. Frankly, I immediately started researching other brands as this company seems to now make unneeded/unwanted changes on whims - changes that are entirely poor if you are an actual user/consumer of the data. How did these changes help them? Why did they think these were positive changes? I don't get it.

I am in agreement with the other users. The new sleep tracker is practically useless. It is just an overview. The previous sleep tracker broke these down in a way that was useful to improving your sleep. Like some other users, the sleep tracker is why I have Fitbit premium.

I was given an Apple Watch as a gift. I quit using it because I could not find a sleep app that was as good as Fitbit's. please bring back the old sleep tracker. I will start looking for another sleep app again that is more useful.

Alas, having worked in major software companies on product development
teams for over 30 years, what I saw is "once the wheel turns it don't turn
back". With so much team buy-in (sometimes at gunpoint), stuff happens that
people upstairs want, and once it happens it will never be reversed.

My guess is that they will fix the outright bugs in the new version (such
as the sudden inability to amalgamate results for two-phase sleep, very
upsetting to a bi-phasic sleeper like me). I'd say we're stuck with the
weedy Google-type minimalist interface for the longer term.

The blue notes of the older interface were so soothing at the time you are
likely to be viewing them, i.e. first thing in the morning, rather than the
stark management report look we now have. But, sadly, I think we'd better
get used to never seeing the classic UI again.

Agreed! I have sleep disorders so this is a very important feature. I also dislike the fact that the percentages of each category of sleep are in a different “tab”. The new colors are too similar too so it makes it less obvious which category that “section” of sleep falls into. Also generally speaking their sleep feature sucks in terms of detecting when im sleeping (especially if it’s a nap and/or during the day) and sometimes when im awake it thinks im asleep. I also hate how it shows the previous nights sleep as sleep you got as if you got it that day. So confusing. I also wish they would go back to showing history (in each category not just sleep) the way they used to a few updates ago (eg when you look back at a month it now shows it as a calendar month instead of the past four weeks). And the benchmarks!!! They seem to base it off age and gender alone instead of healthy sleep benchmarks too. Lastly they make updates too frequently.

Oh! I remembered one other thing: now in order to edit your sleep it requires an extra step if you have multiple entries: you have to hit edit and the click on the entry you want to edit. Annoying.

So sad!!!

Is this because Google took over?

Absolutely agree with the new sleep update. It is unusable. Bring back the old one. If not, I will change brands. It's really that bad!

Dumass

Yep, about to cancel my account also. I can't stand this change. Fitbit is losing lots of users on this change. Don't they read user feedback? Don't they care about customer service satisfaction? Apparently not!

PLEASE return the sleep info to the former format.  This new one is not helpful and truly awful. I picked Fitbit because of the breathing pattern display which is now gone.  What were you thinking Fitbit and Google???  BRING BACK THE FORMER DISPLAY PLEASE!!!!!

Go back to version 3 of the Fitbit app. Fire your programmers and get new ones. The version 4 interface is terrible. It is colorless and is difficult to navigate and gives less information with each update.

I have been a Fitbit customer since 2011. My current model, Charge 5, has been a hugh disappointment.

1. Sleep function is erratic. With  sleep disorder, I need this functionality.

2. Exercise recording is hit or miss.

3. Drains battery quickly and if battery gets below 60%. Lose sleep and exercise recording completely.

4.overall performance well below Fitbit historical standards.

What can be done about this product issue?
