Bring back the old sleep summary page

When I had my Charge 5 and the first few weeks of having my Charge 6 the app would give me a sleep summary page with, Sleep Stages, Time in each stage, Oxygen levels and Bedtime and wakeup all on a handy page. Since a recent update I now seem to get a much more basic three tiles and I have to open each one and look through for all the information.

Stepping Up

I have cancelled my Premium subscription that is done at the end of May. Just enough time to hold me over while I shop for a new Garmin!

Thanks Fitbit for your obtuse and condescending customer feedback - I write to express my dissatisfaction with the new sleep tracker and you respond by saying, "guess what, we've updated our new sleep tracker to be easier to read." For who?! I guess you didn’t  read my email at all - or just don’t care. This whole process has been insane. And we are just corraled into this community forum to ease the burden on your poor customer service staff that have been given no ability to actually serve customers. Whoever used to be in charge, please tell them I really loved and appreciated their product and customer service and it really added value in my life. To whomever is in charge now, not that you seem to care much, but I'm one less customer you have and one more voice out in the world spreading the word about how great Fitbit USED to be and is no more.

FYI - I sent an email a few weeks ago to Techradar to suggest they pick up the story, which they did. I don’t  know if my email had anything to do with it, but glad to see it. Its not the must in depth journalism, but it tells the story outside this teeny forum. Next step, reaching out to the editor at the Wall Street Journal. Fitbit, please consider listening to your customers. Don’t just try to wear us down. Most of us have checking our sleep tracker the FIRST thing we do every morning, so we are remembering how dissatsfied we are EVERY morning, first thing! This is not just going to fade away. Step up to the plate and DO something. Or at least communicate and ACKNOWLEDGE that we are unhappy rather than telling us how great the "Upgrade" is. Just be straight with us.

I couldn't agree more. Who designed the new sleep score then compared it to the old one and somehow thought "this is better!"  It is unreadable jumble of lines compared to the crisp clear view in the old system. Someone had to justify their job and just screwed it up. Fix it!

I have thrown in the towel. I cancelled my premium subscription and got a refund from Apple. I purchased an Apple Watch S9 and am very happy with it after just two days of use. My Versa 4 is shut down and in a drawer. The tracker was failing to work properly and the app became unusable for sleep tracking. I have been using Fitbit devices for more than six years. I was always satisfied with them, and it is sad that it has come to this. My Versa 4 is only about six months old and has not worked properly for four of those months. I believe I am due a refund or replacement, but I’ve given up. My life is better without the hassles of trying to deal with Fitbit.

Not only is the change with sleep but with steps. I can't track information that is poorly presented. Do we need to get a movement going on this? I don't want to leave. Did you even do a focus group check on this beforehand??? You would NEVER have implemented this if you had!

I’m thinking of buying an Apple watch after Fitbit destroyed the old sleep summary. Is the watch worth buying or is it just another hassle?

Please bring back the sleep chart. The one you have now is like "connect the dots". Really? What? Are we 4 years old here?
It's real bad UI/UX Design now. It's hard to read and NOT pleasing to the eye at all. What you had before was just fine.

Please bring back the previous or give us some better cool design. But PLEASE get rid of this "connect the dots" that you have now. Thank you.

I'm not following the issue here. If I click week, I see every day during
that week and how many steps I walked each day. Then if I want to go back
further or ahead, I use the arrows next to the weekly dates on the top.
All the days in that week are displayed below the chart.

I honestly don't even remember how it used to be, but this works for me.

I would love to know what the “fix” is and how to implement it. Thanks!

I use an Apple watch and have also used the Fitbit. I liked the Fitbit better for sleep and calorie/steps because of the battery life but mostly for the simplicity of the data it provided. Not sure what they were thinking when the changed the sleep data, but they need to go back to the original format, or they will lose customers like me.

Coming to the conclusion Google wants to phase out Fitbit and move us to their Pixel watch. They aren’t stupid and this sleep display is noticeably worse, delivering less data, and less readability. I also miss a few other things they’re removed from the app like some heart rate charts. I think it’s intentional The fact they’ve stopped selling Fitbit in 28 other countries also points to eventual phase-out.

I’ve used Fitbits for 6-7 years and I’ll miss the slim, light weight and old clean displays. But this experience certainly doesn’t move me toward a Google Pixel (or any Google product). I’m looking at a Garmin or an Apple Watch.

Yes, I have that issue. I would also like to know why has the sleep data taken away easy weekly viewing of the time of being asleep and waking up not just sleep duration. This is important for me as I have Delayed Sleep Phase Disorder as well as sleep apnea and insomnia. Being able to show my specialist the times asleep (e.g. 3am - 11.30 or, 6am to 1pm) as well as duration, helps back up what I tell them my sleep experiences are.

Love this! I wish our dissatisfaction would be acknowledged. Maybe, just maybe they are working on fixing it behind the scenes. One can only hope!

Coming to the sad conclusion Google wants to phase out Fitbit and move us to their Pixel watch. They surely know this sleep display is noticeably worse, delivering less data, and less readability. Not to mention all the negative feedback. I also miss a few other data elements they’re removed from the app in recent months like some heart rate charts and easy ways to look at longer periods for steps etc. I think it’s intentional The fact they’ve stopped selling Fitbit in 28 other countries also points to eventual phase-out.

I’ve used Fitbits for 6-7 years and I’ll miss the slim, light weight device and their old clean informative displays. But this experience certainly doesn’t move me toward a Google Pixel (or any Google product). Currently looking at a Garmin for fitness and sleep tracking only, or an Apple Watch if I find the rest of the features useful.

Absolutely spot on! It is obvious that Fitbit could care less about their customers and can’t even communicate with us concerning these complaints.
Moving on from this site and this product.

I found it and installed the old version. It worked! The ones "golfer" posted did not install without "a bug". Do internet search  for fitbit fix and choose the guide on Reddit. Follow instructions.Sent from my T-Mobile 5G Device

I can't even get a reply from a moderator. I have asked 2 for an update as
to when we might see at least some information as to if an update is in the
works. NO RESPONSE, silence.

Please count my vote on bringing back the original and previous Fitbit version. Uggghhh. Thus latest version has a horrible, very unfriendly Sleep section, as opposed to the previous  version. So many, like myself,  use the Sleep function of the app stats, as SOON as we look into the app each morning. I was one of the very first to make note of thr distaste of this latest Fitbit "downgrade", when it was first posted on by a Fitbit associate.....asking for Feedback.

Please, please heed this feedback, that has consistently detested the new version, and bring back the previous one that everyone absolutely loved.

I don't know if this helps but I got this from the Fitbit Users UK Facebook
page and I'm a bit worried about mentioning it in case I lose it.

Click on the You tab at the bottom of the page. The next page that opens
is Community with a series of coloured pictures across the top of the page,
scroll right until you find the picture that says 'Feed'. Tap on that and
near the top of the page is a blue running man and a navy moon. Tap on this
and it will open another page with a series of boxes. Tap on the box that
says Sleep and you have a daily/weekly list of your sleeps. Check out
Activity/ Exercise too.

Hope that helps you and your doctor.
