Please bring the Relax app to the charge 5. The charge 5 has the perfect size screen I'm looking for but I'm so disappointed to hear that the Relax app isn't offered.
Just bought a Charge 5 to replace my Charge 2 which packed up. Assumed it would have this app and it doesn't. Why has it disappeared, you already have the code and have even rendered the screen for a 5. Bonkers.
Just upgraded to the Charge 5 this weekend, and I was shocked to see that the Relax app isn’t available. I had myself convinced it was probably something I hadn’t done. But after running all available updates to the device, app, and my phone… and then looking on the community forums and finding this thread, it seems like it really isn’t possible.
I don’t understand why Fitbit would just remove features like this. Why does an upgrade feel like a downgrade in some ways? I’d much rather see Fitbit release devices less frequently than get products that can’t do the things their predecessors could.
I would absolutely use the relax app daily and am really sad to see the feature isn’t available.
I would love to see the relax app available for the charge 5. I have severe anxiety and ADHD. This app would certainly be another tool in my arsenal to combat these (among others) conditions!!!
It is tragic that the Relax app is absent in the Charge 5. To me, the AED Scan or stress management are useless. It's a shame. I will go to Garmin watch in a short while. Its too bad because all the other features are OK, and I liked the size of the charge 5.
Because my charge 4 battery drained within an hour, I bought the charge 5!! Oh boy, I do regret it already. I miss the relax app, I miss the indication of stress level, I miss the floors.
But most of all the relax part. How many more votes do you need!! Please make it available asap.
I'm new to Fitbit and got the Charge 5 for myself over christmas, was really looking forward to using this as I'd seen a friend with the charge 4 use it, I thought since this was an updated model it would have come with it - but I seem to be missing a lot of features that she has? Honestly if the 4 had been available on your website still it may have been a better fit for me, it's a pity.
Took me a while to figure out how the community forums work and how to post and made a user name and did all the things just to be able to add to the disappointment that the relax app is not in the charge 5.
I only upgraded because my 4 completely broke and I never thought to check to make sure this feature was in the 5. It helped me and my kids learn how to manage breathing to calm down and was one of my favorite Fitbit features.
it’s weird that I can’t even find any recent communication if this feature will come back to the 5.
It’s frustrating and invalidating that they suggested using the EDA scan instead as it is not the same and does not help in the same way. The visual for relax is what really did it and now it’s gone. Holding the sides for 3 minutes is a misery.
I was excited to get a new Fitbit and now I just feel disappointment and remorse. Loved my 4. This really sucks.
Today's Mindfulness tip for the Charge 5 is the opposite of relaxing:
"If you feel stressed this week, give Fitbit Relax a try-67% of people who use the guided deep-breathing sessions experienced a decrease in heart rate."
I got the Chagre 5 for the additional hearth health measures - I have mild tachycardia and have to juggle various ADHD medications to function well, and most meds available are stimulants. Yikes! I previously had the Charge 2 and found the Relax app very helpful in bringing my rate down during any spikes. The included eda app on the Charge 5 suggests I can get a lower response output after doing breathing exercises, but this requires my phone - I am trying to reduce the amount of distraction gadgets and and thus usually find myself with no such option. Kind of cheesy to suggest a feature in one app that isn't on-hand in another app. Please bring the Relax app back! The simplicity of it really helped me with my focus as well as my heart rate.
I just bought Fitbit Charge 5, and first time user of any fitbit product. Very disappointed that Relax app is not available to charge 5.
I find it very useful to me. Please bring it back to Charge series. The question has been raised for almost 2 years, since the release of charge 5, and it is hasn't been processed. This year, probably charge 6 will release. I would be very disappointed about Fitbit if they didn't give any response at all. Charge series has good feature and design. But there is also many options out there. I hope this won't drive people away.
Please bring the Relax app to the charge 5. The charge 5 has the perfect size screen I'm looking for but I'm so disappointed to hear that the Relax app isn't offered. please...
The relax app was originally available, then they removed it. With all the comments and requests to bring it back and no response from Fitbit, I'm beginning to think they don't care what their customers want.
I'm beginning to think that as well, @mpyusko . I've been switching between my Apple Watch and Charge 5 these past few months and really, really want the Charge 5 to be my go to since the AW is just too big for my wrist and I don't need so many features, but it does have the reflect and breathe sessions.. Seriously considering getting the Luxe, I don't want to go back to the Versa 2 or Inspire 2.
Given the Luxe is on sale, I decided to head to my local Best Buy and pick it up while using my Charge 5 as a trade in. Definitely worth it!! I honestly don't think I'll miss the Charge 5; other than the relax app not being available, the touch screen had been unresponsive a good amount of the time, text notifications never showed up for me (unless I'd disable calls and texts and enable again), etc.
I wish Fitbit had brought back the relax app, I would have considered keeping it, maybe. The lack of notifications coming through was more of an annoyance than anything and one of the main reasons for switching back to a tracker and not sticking with my Apple Watch.
