Absolutely 100% agree that "Look alive" is an unacceptable wake up message and super painful for those of us who lost someone they love. Absolutely crazy, that Fitbit messenger recommends I respond to a messag from 2021 to vote for an alarm message to be changed, which still hasn't been done TWO YEARS later.
Wake up Fitbit, this alarm message radiates negativity and reminds us of our and other mortality, it's crazy you do not realise this yourself. Allow us to change this, or simply change it to; wake up/time to get up/ carpe Diem etc
I agree. I actually don't use the alarm on my watch just because I don't like the "look alive" message. I don't know why in particular. I just really don't like it and wish it could be changed.
It's been over two years of Fitbit ignoring this... And unsurprisingly my friend's suicide isn't something I'm going to just *get over* I'm now the owner of a fruity named company's watch instead. After about 10 yrs of being loyal as heck to Fitbit. Literally all they had to do was change one single line of coding somewhere and I can't believe something so simple can't be achieved, I suspect being owned by a huge company now with zero vested interest in consumer rights or choices may have something to do with their drastic decline in functionality.
In 2023 the fitbit alarm was reminding me to get up to go and visit my dying mother in the hospital. Since then, the message “look alive” reminds me of those dreadful weeks every time it wakes me up in the morning. Every morning when I see that I want to cry. Every morning I am reminded that I actually should throw the watch in the trash and buy a different brand. And so many people mentioned this problem for so many years now and nothing was done about it. Maybe fitbit needs to hire somebody who knows how to fix it.
Reading the Feedback policy that I had to acknowledge to comment here, made me understand that actually they don’t care, they don’t want the fitbit community to provide feedback and they won’t do anything about it:
“We are always pleased to hear from the members of the Fitbit community…… Therefore, please do not submit any such unsolicited ideas in any form to Fitbit or any of its employees. … If, despite our policy, you still submit an idea to us, then regardless of anything contained in your submission you agree that following shall apply: (i) we shall have no obligation to review the submission;”
Any answers, fitbit, beside “merging” the messages? Just take the message out if you can’t think of something else. Oh, and fire the person who came up with that idea.
