Just an app improvement idea, I would love if we could change screen colors in the app. When I can share and change it to the black and blue background, I would love to have my dashboard and such that color! Thanks!
how come such a simple fix/ feature addition is taking soo long to implement? Majority of applications have a dark mode including bloody youtube.... Fitbit really needs to step up
Hi, I see that this is still under consideration after almost a year.
This is more than just a cosmetic issue. This is an accessibility issue. Some people cannot look at a bright white app screen for any length of time. Having the ability to choose a darker theme should be prioritized as an accessibility feature!
Would love to hear some kind of update from Fitbit about progression on this issue.
I recently got a new Fitbit which I'm really excited about, but unfortunately when I look at the app on my phone it feels the same as it did with my old Fitbit. It would be fun to change the 'skin' to make it feel like a new experience.

Yes, I agree to be able to have the ability to change the background colour in the app so that the heart rate can be easily seen while on the treadmill or running.
Hi @Jlhoffmann, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us. This feature suggestion already exists so I’ve moved your post here. Don't forget to add your vote!
Hi @eatwellmovewell! That’s an interesting idea and could be useful, thanks for sharing it. I've moved it into a similar suggestion, as the more votes and comments an idea has the more visibility and momentum it gains. You can learn more about how Fitbit decides what suggestions get released in our FAQs.
Android Q Is going for a dark mode with all Google apps, and so is iOS13. Not only a lot of people prefer a dark scheme over a light one, but also it is proof to be a pretty big deal for energy saving on AMOLED Screens (growing in adoption). I'm a huge advocate of dark themes, and I really think Fitbit app should adopt it. It's about time to make it happen.
Having the option for a dark theme is really important for folks with light sensitivity (like me!). Being able to customize the colors is really cool and in some of the cases, where I’m reading that folks have red involved, it would be very important for people that have color blindness. You should aim for your app to be the most user friendly and as inclusive as possible so new users can get that extra push to a healthier lifestyle. 🙂
I am moving on to Samsung fit.pro instead Fitbit seem to not care. This simple easy request. Dark theme. Bye-bye Fitbit thx 4 nothing. My $ will go to Samsung
