Just an app improvement idea, I would love if we could change screen colors in the app. When I can share and change it to the black and blue background, I would love to have my dashboard and such that color! Thanks!
Missing the green color when i achieved my goals for the day. Got used to seeing that. Although the blue color now when you achieve your daily goals is not bad, i got used to seeing the green one and it feels good seeing it after a hard days work of exercising.
Hope in the future you can have the option to change the colors.
I love this idea! I have a slight color issue were similar hues end up blending together to form one color with no differentiation. and being able to custom choose my graph colors would be cool or color scheme options with various color options.
Another thing to possibly add to this would be to have the ability to change the layout of the screen. I don't mean just reorder the buttons at the bottom, but to be able to change their sizing (to see 3 buttons on one row instead of just two). You used to have this feature, but I don't see it anymore, or it isn't easily accessible. Maybe have a few variations of the different icons/themes that we can choose from. Maybe one has a different icon/measurement of the steps icon so it's not so big and we can see all the buttons without having to scroll.
As a user that suffers from migraines, I would love to have a dark theme option. There are days that I can't even open the app to log in my calories for the day because the brightness of the screen is painful. It is a very serious problem for me as a user.
Hi @Slewis90, thanks for explaining why you would like to have this option. I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has been updated as "Under Consideration". You can learn more about here. Keep adding your suggestions!
Hi @Angelcowboy92. Thanks for sharing your idea about changing the color of the Fitbit app dashboard with us! I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has been updated as "Under Consideration". You can check this other suggestion here. Keep adding your suggestions!
Anywhere that there is white font on light blue/green background it is nearly impossible to read. (Especially for those of us with older eyes). Actually, any light colored font on a light colored background is very, very difficult to read. (Gray on white, etc
Offering an alternative UI layout with easier readability, including a “pinch to zoom” ability would be very much appreciated.
Hi @Patch7. We wanted to let you know that the ideas you recently posted already exist on the Feature Suggestions Board. You can see them here where you can add your vote to those existing suggestions:
Please try to make sure you only post one idea per suggestion, so we can keep the board organized, easily searchable and see which idea other members are voting for. Thanks for participating in Feature Suggestions!
I agree that it would be fab if we could have the option to change the app colours.
Not only do you get the feeling of it being more personal but I struggle reading text from a white background, having the option to change the theme would really help.
It’s 2020 and this still hasn’t happened! Fitbit, please 🙏🏼
I switched from Garmin to get my Fitbit Versa 2 watch and I absolutely love it, but really really miss Garmin’s app display. The dark theme and the way all of the data was laid out.
I’m sure I’ll get used to it and love my versa watch! But a dark theme or color options would go a long way to making the app experience more pleasurable.
It seems that the "suggestion" process they have is merely a placebo to fool their loyal customers into believing that their suggestions are reallly being considered.
The original suggestion was posted back in 2016.
The "acknowledgement" that it was "under consideration" was posted back in 2018.
This is February 2020.
They clearly have no intention of implementing the suggestion even though there were 500 + votes for it.
I seriously doubt that the suggestion was ever even forwarded to the app developers.
I've purchased every model of Fitbit since they were released.
I've also gifted many others to friends and family over the years.
The fact that they won't even implement a simple change to provide an alternative UI on the app that's easier to read
tells me that they don't value their loyal customers.
I'm dumping my Fitbit and moving to a competitor who has a useable UI for their app and actually cares about their customers.
I've also considered moving my loyalty to another company as well. I don't plan on buying another FitBit product and I'll most likely switch to a better-known competitor. I posted a comment a couple of years ago and after a year realized that nothing was ever going to be implemented.
