Because the band of the charge 5 fastens underneath the band instead of in some sort of strap like the charge 4, it gives friction and uneasyness to the skin underneath.

Have been with Fitbit for 9 years and with yet another band attachment failure I thought I would see if this continuing defect had been resolved on the Charge 5. A quick search shows a growing number of recent complaints on this historic Fitbit problem. Have purchased an aftermarket band to pop the device into and make this work for now. I am wondering if others know if there is a model that has eliminated this continuing defect?
