Charge 3 alarm - dismiss alarm by tap on display

Hi, if you use silent alarm you will see this screen:

before

Please get rid of the duck, move alarm time and snooze button up to the top and add a dismiss button (maybe a big cross symbol) right below. Here is a suggestion (as a draft) how this can look:

after

Right now, you have to press the button which is very uncomfortable if you use multiple alarms a day.

Kind regards

Brian

The poor and non-functional alarm handling is a nuisance. It seems like such an easy fix. It does not reflect well on Fitbit to ignore users and refuse to fix problem.

yes, please make this change? i like the idea of two icons on the screen. one for dismiss and one for snooze. dont need a duck...

Would love more clear functionality for snoozing vs dismissing the alarm. At least half of the time that I try to dismiss an alarm, I end up snoozing it, which is particularly annoying if the alarm goes off while I'm out with friends, or at the gym. I have 2 alarms set for a medical reminder, spaced 30min apart, and if I accidentally snooze the alarms, I end up with at least 4 alarms going off within an hr instead of just the 2 I want, because its not clear how in the world you are supposed to dismiss vs snooze, and theres no on-screen guidance like when you finish a workout, whether you press the button once, twice, or tap the screen, etc.

Yes please make this change! That  would be very helpful. Until now it is very annoying for me not  to now how to dismiss the alarm.

This is a great idea. I cannot believe Fitbit can't figure out how to have the button actually turn off the alarm. Obviously, if so many people are having this issue, they need a firmware update.

This us a wonderful suggestion as I've been having this problem for months (since setting daily reminders) I have 3 alarms set everyday and it becomes ANNOYING especially when others are around. Hopefully this will be resolved soon.

As explained above. To dismiss the alarm. Press the back button.

To snooze tap the Zzz a.

I just tried and pressing the back button did dismiss the alarm.

I agree that you should be able to Snooze or Dismiss on the screen. I think there was a comment that you click the button once to dismiss, but the manual says to click it two times. Sometimes, you cannot tell whether the button accepted a click or two clicks or not.

On the screen is a great idea to avoid any confusion 🙂

I agree this needs sorting but maybe update the software, tap the screen to snooze and long press the button to wake up? Or put it on two screens. Leave as is (tap to snooze) but have to scroll up and tap again to turn alarm off? That way you actually have to be awake enough to think about it and turn the alarm off instead of snoozing.

Sorry Rich,

all types pressing back button during alarm sequence does not work!  Also tapping birdies does not snooze ..tapping snooze symbol below it does!

A simple solution is bring DISMISS onto the front screen ...tap chirping bird = dismiss alarm today only ...... tap ZZZ symbol below it  = Snooze alarm 5 mins

Fitbit Please address this failure ! It's making my new Charge 3 unusable!!!

@Rich_Laue

Is the "Back Button" the button on the side?

I have a very hard time reliably dismissing the alarm

I just tried again @Manxfx. and yes pressing the back button did cancel the alarm for me without any additional snoozes.

I don't know what to say, but this has been how I dismiss the alarm.

I like this idea. My alarm goes off, I get up within a few minutes, and sometimes while I'm getting ready it will go off another 2-3 times while I'm already awake and moving around. I would love a snooze and dismiss option since it just seems to snooze now!

I just tried again.

To dismiss, while the wrist is vibrating press the side button.

Problem is that it now sets the alarm to go off at this time tomorrow.

So if you do not want the alarm tomorrow tap the alarm setting on the wrist to run off.

One year for suggestion and nothing seems to be updated in the app. Very sad fitbit, very sad. Give a community forum but not take it suriously. 😥

Seriously @Radoslaw I haven't figured out what users can not understand.

Tap the zzz to snooze the alarm.

Tap the button twice to dismiss the alarm. As explained in page 26 of the user manual It has been this way since the release of the charge 3.

What is it that you say isn't fixed?

It's hard to understand how to dismiss the alarm because it changes when the screen is on or off.

When the screen is on, the back button dismiss the alarm.

When it is off, the back button turns the screen on and stops vibrate. So, if you press again, it dismiss. If not, it snoozes.

Another way, rotate it to turn the screen on and press the button.

It should not stop vibrate when the back button is used to turn the screen on.

This way you know that it is not dismissed and should press again.

About the suggestion, Dismiss should not be on the screen as first option so you don't hit it unintentionally.

When the arm is raised and rotated, the screen turn on. Pressing the button will then dismiss.

Tapping the screen should also turn the screen on.

I was literally coming to the features side to suggest the exact same solution.  It is insane that you have to go to a user manual to figure out how to dismiss an alarm.  Insane.  Seriously, how have they not updated with this yet?

Also, Fitbit developers: telling us to press twice on "the button" is not helpful because there are two buttons on a Charge 3, one on each side.  There is also a snooze icon on the screen of an active alarm, which might be confused for "the button."  So, you must clarify the copy in your manual.  "Press twice on the button located on the left side of the device" is better. However, the best option is to simply add a dismiss icon to the screen of an active alarm.

I'm not sure whose labyrinthine code has made this difficult to change on the developer side, but please, dear god please, find that person and make them fix it.  Or send them to me at three in the morning when my alarm goes off because I'm back in the pacific time zone and my fitbit hasn't updated so my alarm is going off at three instead of five and absolutely won't dismiss for any reason.  Send that developer to me so that I may "talk" to them.

Cheers!
