Guys, I doubt Fitbit has not contacted Citi to be part of Fitbit Pay. Seems that Garmin also doesn't have Citi on board.
Very likely it's Citibank who is the holdup here so we should contact them demanding to be in Fitbit Pay. For Citi FB pay is a negligible part of the market, while for Fitbit, they wouldn't want anything else than having as many banks singed up as possible.
Either Citi is lying or Fitbit is lying. Based upon track record, I'd put my money on Fitbit being the liars.
Fitbit also hasn't added Discover Card. Citi and Discover are the ONLY cards I EVER use. So my special edition Charge 3 was a waste of money. Piece of junk won't even show the weather forecast like it's supposed to and the 3 second screen timeout makes many features like the stopwatch utterly useless.
Meanwhile Fitbit just sweeps all people pointing out flaws or asking for critical features to these forums so that they can yell at the clouds and stop bothering Fitbit. Herding us all to these forums is just a way to manage us without having to actually deal with our complaints. Doesn't matter if hundreds or thousands ask for the same feature or bug to be fixed.
@sremick I agree that a lot of the features need tons of work on Charge 3. Setting up mine on Android has been a nightmare, specially Fitbit Pay. So incredibly buggy and fickle.
But when it comes to the Citibank situation, I'm pretty sure it's Citibank who's dragging here. We need to understand that all these big banks need to understand perfectly the risks of every payment platform, and that includes lots of work with Fitbit to understand every nuance of it. Citi probably has this in the back burner, the same way they are doing with Garmin.
@cardiolvr I would believe that, if it weren't for the Fitbit moderator on this forum declaring (many months ago), that Fitbit is "considering" adding Citi to the list of FP Banks, and encouraging forum users to upvote this "feature" to push it to the top of Fitbit's to-do list.
Please add citibank support to your app. I have a Versa, and was very disappointed to learn I could not use it with my credit card. (I called citibank, and they say they accept all forms of mobile payment...)

Hi @HikeVA, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us. This feature suggestion already exists so I’ve moved your post here. Remember to add your vote.

I just got the ionic and I am disappointed and shocked that Citibank isn't a supported bank. From reading the comment history it sounds like the holdup is definitely on Fitbit's end. C'mon fitbit, give us some info here! What is the holdup??
Wow, I'm glad I found this since I was just about to purchase Versa Special Edition. I use my CitiBank card on my Android device all the time and really wanted to use it on a new smart watch. This puts the Versa completely out of the running.
It seems as though they just don’t give a c$@p about their customers to at the very least provide an update on where they are at in the process. Either they flat out don’t care or they’re not doing anything about it! Amazing!!
While that may be true kc4ydx, this forum is for communicating with Fitbit to indicate our wish that they support Citi as a payment source. Your opinion would be more useful in the Citibank forums.
PLEASE give us an update about adding CITI to as an option on Fitbit wallet. It has been more than 1 1/2 years since this was reported as "under consideration" and we were encouraged to vote it up. Since then, there has been nothing, in spite of many, many, many requests.
If you would at least give us some information about the problem, it would help. We have no idea what is involved in getting an arrangement like this with a bank. With no response, we are left feeling like nothing is being done, fitbit has no interest in working on it, doesn't appear to care what we say, and just sends us to this forum to make us feel like we are accomplishing something. In all other areas, I have found Fitbit to be helpful, responsive and supportive. The lack of any response or acknowledgement here just doesn't make any sense.
Maybe this will help both the person who asked "Where is Citibank?" and perhaps Fitbit support as well, since it seems nobody there had tried to contact them about adding it as a Fitbit pay source.
Wow! What is taking so long to get Citibank added to the list of banks in Fitbit pay? From what Citibank states, the issue is with Fitbit. Can someone please provide an update or a timeline?
