Control music for other apps on Charge 3 and Charge 4

I'm guessing I mis-read the features for the Charge 3, but I thought music control was among the upgrades from the Charge 2.  Is this something that is or will be added as an App or feature in the NEAR future?  I was holding off on the purchase strictly for music control feature.

I actually purchased a $30 non-brand name fitness tracker while waiting for the release of the Charge 3 and even that had the music control feature.  It makes changing songs while running so much easier! Please tell me I'm wrong and there is a way of controlling music from the tracker!

I really wish my charge 4 was compatible with Apple Music. I'd be a loved feature

I would be cool if you could control any music app (last one opened on your phone, whether it's Deezer, Tidal, Youtube Music, Spotify, Apple Music, or just your old mp3s in the native player), like the Garmin Vivoactive does, as well as controlling volume.

I have uninstalled Spotify because I don't have their premium account. Feels like having paid for an option I didn't need.

Yes!!  Limiting yourself to only one option is not a good idea, I prefere to listen to Audiobooks and podcasts when I run or even use an elliptical so I don't pay for streamed audio plans.  Sucks that I still have to stop, take out my phone to start a new podcast or switch audio books and then get going again.  Kind of demoralizing.

+1. basic controls of any linked phone music app should for sure be included (skip, pause, mute). Should have stuck with my Alta as years later and this model is bigger, but with almost no  improvements.

This would be a Good Thing, but perhaps you could take this step-wise as follows:

Step 1: Integrate with the iOS Music App simply to display current song title, artist, and album (as a notification).

Step 2: Do the same for iOS Podcast app.

Step 3: Provide a Fitbit app that allows for skip, pause, and changing the volume for iOS Music and iOS Podcasts

Step 4: Do the same as above for stock Android music apps—but make sure you do iOS first. 🙂

Step 5: Do the same for other third-party iOS or Android music/podcast-related apps, going with the most popular (Pandora?) first.

(I mean, what's the deal? Does Spotify pay Fitbit for exclusivity?)

Please make it available on charge 4 to control music on Apple Music as well.. not everyone uses Spotify. If u have a feature n u deliberately restrict to one app is kind of restrictive to the customer. If u care about customer please include apple n other music  app possible pl
