Countdown timer that allows for more than 90 minutes

Very simple: I would like a countdown clock function that allows me to set a countdown for a length of time greater than 90 minutes (as is the current limitation).

Example:

00:00:00

The place holders representing:

Hours-minutes-seconds

I'm experiencing this issue on my Charge 4. I find it incredibly unfortunate I can't set a Countdown Timer of longer than 60 minutes.

Please either let us specify the hours. My old Inspire does this! It's maddening the new and improved Charge 4 is actually lacking in features compared to an Inspire.

Infuriating moving from inspire HR to charge 4. Going to vibrate every time I push a button even with do not disturb. also can't set timer for more than 90 minutes when I can set it for hours on my inspire.

I love my new fit bit but I can't believe that this was posted on April of 2018 and still this is not fixed?!!! I would like to set a time for 2.5-3 hours as well. I seriously can't believe this hasn't been fixed yet!

This thread started in 2018. Can someone from Fitbit please weigh in if this request will ever happen? I too need a countdown timer greater than 99mins that goes for hours. .  Please just respond. If it's going to happen please give us a reasonable expectation or if there's no chance just state so and close the thread.

Hi @CJoyS, thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to see a countdown timer that allows for more than 90 minutes. Thanks for sharing your feedback. I've moved it into a similar request.  A lot of users are asking for this option, I hope we receive updates soon.

Finding this incredibly frustrating for our Charge 4. So simple, please fix to allow up to 24 hours? or at least 9 hours?

The current Charge 4 is limited to 60 minutes in the Countdown, not 90 minutes.  This is very limiting in terms of how it may be used.  Other Fitbit trackers seem to have and indefinite Countdown time.  I am requesting that this feature be extended to much more than merely 90 minutes. I would like an indefinite time, or perhaps 24 or 12 hours as the limit, but at least 3 or 4 would make it practical and useful.

Dear Ftibit,

I would also really appreciate the timer function to extend 99mins. For me it is medication related, as it is for other users as I read. I have to take my pills every 3:15:00... I even bought a Fitbit Sense, and now I can’t even use it. It was supposed to be a smartwatch, but this isn’t very smart to me. Ofcourse I can set a timer voor 00:97:30, and when it rings I set it again. But it isn’t very practical, plus it easier to forget to set it again or if it is the second round of the first. If you really want the Sense to give me less stress, please just add this function. It seems like such an easy thing to do...

Sincerely,

Erik

Have the native timer on the Sense exceed the 99min 59sec limit.

Hey @YojanaFitbit, thanks for you reply. Although reading through the comments and the dates, i'm not very hopeful this "community" has any impact... Are there other ways to get in touch with anyone? I mean, i understand you can't just accept and update every little thing that we want, but this function is such a ridiculous miss. Think about all the possibilities. I'm very frustrated because i actually switched from Apple to Fitbit, because of the price difference and the functionality being more focused on fitness and health, now finding out that i should better get back to Apple, because they have this function to perfection. I own my Fitbit Sense just two weeks and i am already considering selling or returning. Anyhow...i hope someone who can do something about this might read this or maybe it will spark up some other users to get more behind this "campaign".

Erik

Why has this still not been updated!!?  Such a simple feature....  I don’t understand why they wouldn’t have made it hh:mm:ss in the first place!

The countdown timer only goes to 99:59. I don’t know who thought that was adequate? Most people set timers for longer periods of time. It would be much more usable to have hours, minutes, & seconds.

Yup, ridiculous… I switched to Apple Watch and sold my Fitbit Sense. Odd name for a device with missing features that don’t make sense.

Current timer only allows input of minutes/seconds for a maximum duration of 60:59. Please add capability of using hours to time longer duration processes. This appears to be functionality on prior models with a maximum duration of 99 hours.

Set the assistant in your Versa 3 to Alexa. Tap the Alexa icon then it will prompt you to

speak. Just say “set timer for 3 hours and 45 minutes” as an example. You can set multiple timers at a time.   This does not work with Google  Assistant as it uses the Fitbit timer which only goes to 99 minutes. I hope this helps!!

Could you update the timer to allow more than 99min?

It has been more than 3 years since this had been flaged up.

It's important to me to set up a timer for 2h since I need it for work. The previous Fitbit I had, inspire had this option. I can't believe it is not available anymore.

My fitbit died 2 years ago. And I'm not getting another until the timer is
fixed on it. I need it daily at work and to spend that amount of money for
the timer that is has. No way!

This is a no-brainer. A timer should be able to go beyond 99 minutes (the limit on the Sense watch). I used smartwatch timers for my experiments all the time and some experiments need timers that are longer than 99 minutes. It is a simple fix. Even my 5-year old Asus Zenwatch 2 had a better timer.

Hello,

I own a charge 5, which is limited to 59:59. I often need a timer of 90 minutes. While I support the general idea of adding the hour as an extra value to set, it would be nice in a future release for the charge 5 to allow the two digits minutes to go up to 99 instead of 59, which would be a substantial improvement already.

Thanks
