Customize display time on Charge 4 (5-10-15+ seconds)

Hi.

I know I can push the button or raise my wrist to show the screen but these don't always seem to work and I would personally like to control how long the screen stays on for. I appreciate this may affect battery life or the life of the LEDs buy that should be my choice. 5.seconds simply isn't good enough.

Thanks,

Tony.

Hi @Tonyr1664. Thanks for sharing your Feature Suggestion with the Fitbit Community. To better understand this idea could you please confirm if you wish to see this on the Charge 3? Or is this idea intended for the Charge 4? We look forward to your response.

Hi.

I have a Charge 4, so would like to see it in there.
I have seen others on the forum with 3s that would also like the ability to leave their screen on for as long as they'd like.

Thanks for replying.

Regards,
Tony

I would like this feature as well. Constantly hitting the back button to lighten the display or raising my arm gets annoying. Even an option to have the screen on all the time in a low energy option would be worth having to charge the device every night.

Me too, charge 4, extend screen time please.

The lack of being able to control the clock face on the Charge 4 is my biggest letdown on the Charge 4. If you are a nurse, you need 30 seconds to a minute (60 seconds would be best)

and going to the timer mode to start a timer is not efficient at all. So, you have to have a watch and the tracker or use your phone. With the brilliant people that work at Fitbit, it seems as though this would be an easy upgrade to get accomplished in a short amount of time. Please get it done!

I bought a charge 4 and ended up buying the Sense due to the always on
feature. Can't stand wearing 2 watches to work as a nurse. I was really
disappointed in fitbit too. The analog display on charge 4 was deceptive &
bought because it was on sale. I assumed and didn't do my homework b4
buying.😠

Allow the charge 4 screen to stay on for >15s, at least up to 30s.

Good morning. I recently got a Charge 4 mainly because I can have an analog-style time display with a sweep second hand. I'm a nurse and this is important for my tasks that involve monitoring vital signs and other time-sensitive patient care activities. I would also support extended display times on the next firmware update. Currently, it only stays up for a few seconds after I tap the screen. Can we get a setting option to select between 20 and 90 seconds to allow us to perform manual radial and apical pulse checks?

I got a Charge 4 for Christmas.  I was using a Garmin, but the Charge 4 has blown me away with the features and the customization.  However, the short display time is the only drawback.  I too would love to have 5, 15 & 30 second options.  I'm not worried about battery life because this already beats my Garmin.

I just voted for this issue as well but really this is just a band-aid solution. Please also give us the option of having the screen on full time.

Please add your votes to the Always on display feature as well:

Its sad to scroll through the forums and seeing people asking for this feature as far back as 2018. This truly is an essential feature for anyone in the healthcare field (pulse and respirations), but I have seen other commenters state that it is useful for workouts with continuous motion, allow for more read time for older users, and to allow for the charge and other trackers to provide the functionality of a watch without the bulky watch face of the smartwatch style devices. I hope Fitbit finally recognizes the thousands of comments left on these screen timeout related posts and makes this change soon.
