I have Fitbit Surge and the option for notification works pretty poor as the messages in Cyryllic are not shown as they should be, they are show in squares.

It looks like such feature requests should be combined into one. People asking for support for Hebrew, Greek, Russian, etc. Whereas it boils down to supporting unicode instead of ASCII. For example, here is related feature request for Russian :
Unicode should have been build into the watch design from start, especially most if not all portable devices (cell phones, car stereo,...etc) supports multiple language. The fact that you have to update the firmware whenver you change the language of a device is silly and inefficient. Imagine your beloved iphone forces you to redownload IOS everytime you change language from English to French or English to Traditional Chinese.
Wholelistically I don't think Unicode will ever be incorportaed into the Blaze. I don't think the engineers have that in mind when the device is designed.
I've ask status on Russian support from Fitbit team. There is the answer:
Currently, there isn't a time frame when Russian language will be available, we hope it will be soon, but, we would recommend to visit the Future Requests board and if you haven't already, vote for the it and share your comments for your language.
So, if you do not vote on Future requests yet pls do it. (Если голос свой не добавляли по ссылке ниже - сделайте):
Hello from the new customer of Fitbit Blaze! I guess the main reason there is no support of Cyrillic symbols is that they don't sell their devices in Russia, Ukraine and other countries officially. So instead of asking just for the support of Cyrillic fonts I want to ask Fitbit to start official sales of your devices in our countries!
I text only using cyrillic when text with my friends, and need it a lot. It's not a big deal just support program for read russian characters. I don't need russian interface... all I need to read notification. 🙂 Thank you!
