Detailed view of Exercise history and Duration on Today

Status: Released Submitted by SunsetRunner on ‎10-29-2017 03:03
31 Comments (31 New)

Be able to view all completed exercises for the current week on the ionic (today's screen?).

All exercises done from exercises / coach list, automatically tracked exercises can appear here to.

This way being able to see: having done x steps for the day / week, but having done x amount of this and that exercise.

Being able to make better choices: Needing more rest, or need to add in more weight training.. by looking at the ionic..

Just the total time for the specific exercise and name:

Yoga: 39 minutes total (2 times)

Walking: 10 minutes total (1 time)

Cycling: 60 minutes (1 time)

Optionally: Fitbit can even suggest to rest (on the ionic) when noticing having done to much exercise (being over your exercise day goals for the week), or display a reminder to move more* if activity is to little.. encouraging to move more.. based on total steps wanting to reach for the week and set activity goals (days)..

*This is different than reminders to move as it's based on total activity for the week, not on activity for the current day.

Resting/Recovery is important to Heart

Hi, I would like to see my recent activity history for a week and access it anytime I want - Not on my mobile app but on the watch. I can see summary after finishing my training, then this summary is gone. It would be nice to get back to this if i need then the data could be removed when new week starts.

It would be great to be able to isolate the activity in the "Activity History". For example, if I want to know how many kilometers I did just running, there's no option for it. I have to go in and calculate the numbers manually by going through the list of all the activities. It would be nice to have some sort of activity calculator where we could go back and look at how much I ran, walked, swam or biked over a specific period of time.

The summary on the Ionic and other devices after you end a exercise is great, but it would be ideal if we could search a 'limited' period of exercises on the device itself. The need to sync to the phone is sometimes timely and would be great if we could see a 30 or 60 day history of exercises on the device itself. The Ionic has sufficient internal storage and sure this could be a easy implementation

I would love this.  I also think that this would keep Fitbit competitive in the smart/sport watch market.

If I've done a workout or two during my day, Could Fitbit please make it possible to go into the "today" option and see the actual workout I've done? Today you can only see your total steps and calories etc, but you cant see any data of your actual workout, which is really a pity. Most of the watches on the marked has this option.

When I workout, I would very much like to go back to the "today" log/option on the Ionic and see how I did in my workout. The total steps and calories is not what users want to see cause it does not tell anything about your improvements.

Hi all,

it would be great to have the ability to drill into the basic summary count of steps, activity minutes, heart rate, distance, calories, stairs etc on the watch.

currently there are just the summarized numbers available.

E.g. it could be something like the history of the last 1-2-3 hours or the day and the comparison to the total numbers of yesterday and/or average counts of the last week etc

statististics/history of the last hours should be already available on the watch. So the implementation should be not a big deal. But it would be directly an benefit and/or an feature for the new flagship.

Regards

Jonny

Hi all,

I'm happy to update you that this was partially released in OS2 for Fitbit Ionic and Versa where you can see exercises recorded on your device (from wrist) in the today app. We will soon be improving this further to include exercises recorded on your mobile device, at which point I'll mark this as released! Keen to hear your thoughts.

Thanks all!

Agreed. Even just the last workout.

I log my workouts in a separate Google form. The issue is, if I accidentally click off the summary on the Ionic, I have to use the app and it's summary is scattered. The watch provides all the relevant metrics on one page, the same metrics are spread across 3 views on the app (why they don't incorporate a concisen summary view, I don't know).

Hey guys,

i'd like to make a suggestion for Fitbit Today - (the menu when swiping up on the watch face).

When you scroll down to the bottom you see your recent exercises like Biking or Running. It would be really great to see the summary of that exercise again by tapping on it (like below)!

This way i wouldn't need to open the app on may phone and have everything on my wrist!

Nice suggestion, thanks for sharing. It would be very helpful to see the exercise summary in Fitbit Today. We look forward to hearing what other community members think.

Hello

Yes, the OS2 has the last 3 activity's that you done but the information there is basic, please add the option to expand the information with the one that you get after you finish an activity, when you get the stats. After a run, my friend's where comparing statistics and I only can see "pace" and "bpm" on my Ionic, they having the Garmin where able to see all the stats and more like personal records etc.
Is like Fitbit is delivering sabotaging itself, with small improvements that can be easily added, seriously considering Garmin as my next tracker.

I'd really like to see this implemented on the Versa! It would help with motivating someone to keep going towards their goals. Currently, the exercises that you've completed throughout the day get lost unless you take a look at the app.

yes, I have an ionic and the same issue.

the other place is in the 'today' screen. when you swipe down to see recent activities, you just get av pace and av bpm.  I'd actually be happy to just have distance and time on that screen, but all four would be OK.

I've recently moved from a Garmin to a Fitbit.  This is the main issue that's driving me crazy and wishing that maybe I shouldn't have changed ...

Since the latest update to the versa..... Fitbit OS 3.0 - Versa Firmware Release (32.33.1.30!!

The exercise you've completed no longer shows straight away on the face of the fitbit. You now have to sync your phone to the app. For example I complete around 3 classes a day in the gym and do not carry my phone so If I wish to look back or show a fellow member at how many calories I have burnt I can no longer do this, where as before you could do that. That was a massive selling point for the versa and the new update has taken that away and made it a poor piece of equipment.

Also since the update the information transferred once you sync is slow and doesn't always transfer to the fitbit straight.

All in all poor update!! and it needs a fix

What do you mean by the information is slow?

When you sync from that day, the number of exercises eg.. 2 out of 7days, doesn’t always update straight away on the face of the Versa, takes a couple of syncs

You are saying that there sometimes it's a delay getting the data back to the tracker.

This requires a few steps

Sync to send the data from the tracker to the Fitbit server.

The server process the data then dress it into your account.

A second sync then gets the data back onto the tracker

If the server is busy and doesn't update your account fast enough the scheduled second Sunday may happen before your account has been updated.

Ok that’s fine,
But also the new update has taken one its good features away!!
Why does it not show you the exercise straight away anymore. That’s poor, it’s like it’s taken a step back in technology
