Hi @paulohoneto - not sure this helps but most devices have the ability to set do not disturb mode.
If there is a specific notification you don't want have a look at the Fitbit App, Notifications, App notifications for the specific app and disable it.
Thank you for the idea, but the notifications in my phone are perfectly set to my taste already, and I don't want to have to enable DND (in the watch or phone) every time I'm using my phone so the watch won't notify of something that is already in front of my face.
I would like to have WhatsApp and some other apps that I use frequently to generate notifications in my watch, but due to the fact that while I'm using these apps in my phone, the watch keeps notifying at the same time, which is very annoying and unnecessary.
That's why having the ability to configure the watch to not notify while the phone is unlocked is VERY useful to have.
It's an extremely simple concept and would just require a switch to be implemented in the setting of the watch. This switch would make the watch ignore all the notifications while the phone is unlocked.
@paulohoneto - this makes sense but there is little chance of it ever being implemented.
However if you have an Android phone, there may be something you can do with Macrodroid.
You may be able to pickup all notifications on the phone and clear them before the Fitbit app sees them and then relay them back to the phone again (from Macrodroid).
And in the Fitbit App disable all notifications from Macrodroid.
By adjusting the scenario of if the display is visible or not it could be possible to achieve what you want.
Thanks @paulohoneto - since Google took over Fitbit a few years ago it's been more about removing smart features than adding new ones, in fact any development has basically stopped.
If you look at other feature requests made many years ago, such as adding dark mode to the Fitbit App, Simple display rotation on the device for left handed people, etc. which has a far more positive effect, you will notice there has been nothing done.
