Display Google Pixel Watches real-time heart rate on Fitbit app

Pixel Watch 2 does not show live, real time heart rate on my Pixel phone. According to my research, this is an issue for both Pixel Watches on any phone platform. It currently only shows a range.

Agreed, this was a very useful feature that should've been carried over and implemented in the newer hardware. Would  be a worthwhile improvement if this could be added to the feature set in an update sometime!

I agree, it is really silly not to be able to see this, and not able to see the same heart beat graph that is displayed on the watch but on the phone.

So the HR I'm on my watch isn't real time. When I'm working I see my HR goes up and down as lift stuff and when I'm not. It changes like every 3 seconds.

I highly agree that the Fitbit app should be able to read and display the heart rate in real-time, as shown by the Google Pixel Watch 2.

Ideally, we should have an easy option to set the intervals between real-time and 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, etc. seconds.

I thought I was upgrading my health experience from the Xiaomi Mi Band 8 to the Google Pixel Watch 2 and Fitbit Premium.

The Xiaomi Mi Band 8 has real-time heart rate monitoring.

I have been chasing this since buying my Pixel Watch 2.  I now understand that this facility is now available on some (cheaper) Fitbit watch/phone combinations (see photo from a sister forum) but is still missing from the Pixel Watch 2/Pixel 8 Pro and presumably Watch 3.

This is a really important facility for cyclists and gym enthusiasts using machines - we need real time heart rate on our phones please, like I used to have on my Versa Lite and Pixel 7.  What I need is the top picture, what I have is the bottom picture, which is useless!

I couldn't agree more, this is an essential feature missing from the pixel watch 2. We can only hope that as more pw3 users come online, they will experience the same thing and generate enough critical mass to get this updated. If Fitbit watches have been doing it for years, certainly pixel watches can do the same.

Thanks for supporting my plea.  Let's hope somebody notices!

Would appreciate if you can get an update. This has been going on for several months and now I have the pixel watch 3 and even that with pixel 9 pro XL I can't get this simple feature to work. Why is this taking so long? And why is this still not a priority? Even cheap smart watches have these capability in today's day and age

Having the same issue. Received new Pixel 3 watch this week and also have Pixel 8 Pro phone. It's like they don't want Pixel watch users to also have a Pixel phone. Now I'm wondering if having both watch and phone is the reason my steps down sync correctly to the app. By end of day the phone loses steps while the app steps stays higher. May be it's best to just use a regular Fitbit if you have a Pixel phone as I didn't have these problems with the Sense 2.  I honestly can't tell if this watch is defective without an answer.

Agree with everyone here.  Just 'upgraded' from a 2019 Versa 2 watch to my Pixel 2 watch and I lost this valuable feature.  Sure I can look on my watch but I typically have the Fitbit app in front of me on my treadmill or elliptical to let me know how my heartrate is doing.  Let up?  Push harder? I used to be able to tell instantly and now it is a burden.  Very disappointed to lose a simple but extremely valuable piece of info like this from Google/Fitbit.

Thanks for starting this feed. I upgraded from Charge 6 and was thinking i will get more but i got less. This feature is very important to me and would find new watch if this feature is not added. Now will not going back to.Charge but to Garmin

This reporting of real-time heart rate has worked on my pixel watch 2; it stopped working; I was able to get it working ; then is stopped. Seems like an issue with the app to me. Is Google working on this issue? It shows the range when I start fitbit tab today. It should show a heart rate. The range should only be shown on the heart page after I touch the heart. This range is not current it is from 2 hours ago. The graph shows a data point every 5 minutes. Doesn't give me much confidence it what they are sampling. Poking around in fit and google watch apps seemed to sync again at 5 minutes intervals.

I'm using a pixel watch 3 and I'd love the future to be able to view my heart rate live on the Fitbit app. I know you can see it on the watch but I like setting my phone down on a stand and view my heart rate as I'm doing my jump rope/cardio/treadmill exercises and I'd like to see my heart rate and zones. It's not ideal to look at my wrist during.

Is this by design?

I have found nothing that states that it is.

This is the biggest disappointment in purchasing my pixel watch.

Genuinely shocked how this feature isn't available on the entire Pixel watch line-up.

For a company like Google, this change is trivial when first gen fitbit watches had it.

This issue has been outstanding for over a year.  Surely somebody at Google should have realised by now how important this is to anyone going to the gym or cycling for exercise.
My granddaughter has just had a Versa 4 for her 20th birthday and sure enough it shows her real time heart rate on her Pixel 7 phone.  The Versa 4 is so much cheaper than the Pixel Watch 2 or 3, but neither have this much needed facility.  I attach a screenshot from her phone (with Versa 4) and my phone with Pixel Watch 2.  Please get your act together Google! No realtime heartrateNo realtime heartrateWith Realtime heartrate - Versa 4With Realtime heartrate - Versa 4

This has been ongoing for a year. Are you going to fix this problem. Fitbit/Google Pixel 2 watch previously showed real time heart rate then you upgraded it and it stopped working.

Interesting comment, Gary69.  I have never seen this work with Fitbit/Google Pixel 2 and I bought the Pixel 2 very soon after it came out!

Hugh, I previously had a Versa3, perhaps there was something left over from that setup. Something was corrupted with the Pixel 2 Watch and I had to do a factory reset.

Yes, I just bought a Veras 4 for my son and wife and both of those do it
correctly.
I saw another gentleman's post and he said, like me, his Pixel 2 was
working until the Fitbit 4 app was released. Somehow he was able to
download and install Fitbit 3.8 and restore the real-time heart rate
function. I don't understand why Fitbit/Google won't take the extra effort
to resolve this.

I "updated" from a Fitbit Versa 3 watch to a Google Pixel 3 watch. Now the real time heart rate in the Fitbit app has been replaced with a heart rate range which is useless and actually incorrect because my heart rate can peak in a particular exercise, but the range is showing a much lower top heart rate.

I want this feature available for the pixel watch 3 as well. My 15 year old Garmin can do it, why can't the latest pixel watch??

I'm very disappointed with the Fitbit app - Garmin Connect is far superior and they're known for bad app design. It's embarrassing that Google is behind Garmin in this area
