Display remaining steps for hourly activity on Fitbit app

It would be nice to display in the App's Hourly Activity dashboard the number of steps that you need for the current hour to meet 250 steps.  Also would be nice on the Alta display, not just when there is 10 minutes left in the hour, which only show the number left sometimes.

I love my Fitbit Alta HR. That being said, it should show the number of steps taken toward the hourly goal of 250 on the Alta HR itself. Just like the Charge 2 does. It would make keeping track much easier.

I would really like this feature as well. I am crossing my fingers that Fitbit hears our plea.

I second these ideas. It would make the hourly step count function much better.

I'd love to see this on my Alta, too.

It would be nice if we could select the option to display the number of hours with 250+ steps on the Alta.  It's not the same when one has to go to the phone app or computer to check.  All the other features can be selected for display.  I switched from a Blaze to the Alta for the slim design, but miss being able to check my steps per hour.

I would like to see the remaining “steps this hour” as a 3. line on the front Multistat display. Event better to be able customize what information to display as on Charge 2.

Fitbit wants the user to take 250 steps per hour yet they are not giving us the tools to make this happen.

The only time I know I am short is when it vibrates at 10 minutes before the hour.

I want to know how many steps I am away from the 250.

That ridiculous graph is useless & you cannot calculate how many steps you take each hour.

I have reached out to Support & they said this is not an option.

This is a flaw in the App.

We should have a time frame when the app will be updated to clearly state how many steps you get each hour.

Yes yes yes!!!!  I was telling my friend with a charge HR 2 I wished I had the 250 step count and he told me he did!!  Please add this to the Alta HR!! Thanks

I have an Alta HR.  It would be nice to have a screen on the device that shows how many steps are left of the 250 during each hour.  I would be able to gauge my hourly activity better because I could get steps in before the meetings that run across the hour mark (those that start at 1030 and go to 1130 but then I miss my steps by just a few because I had no way of knowing how many were left).

I cannot wear a Fitbit watch or band on my wrist because of my work (too dangerous; could get caught in machinery), so I wear a clip-on Fitbit One.

Could you add a customizable feature to the iOS app with an hourly reminder to move? Similar to the reminder given by the watches and bands, except it would be a pop up in the app.

Thank you.

I love the Reminder to Move feature for the Alta, but the notifications don't always tell you how many you have left to go. I am much more motivated when I see that I have 100, 200, etc. steps left, instead of just "Let's roll" or "It's step o'clock." That way I have a discrete goal in mind and I know it will take x minutes, instead of just wandering until it goes off or trying to remember how many steps I had at the beginning of the hour and how many I might have left.

Is there any way you could make it so (1) users can select the notifications we receive (Eg, I only want to receive the ones that tell me how many steps I have left for the hour and not the other notifications)? Or, (2) add an optional screen where it displays how many steps you have left for the hour when you tap through?

I've seen others asking for the same thing, so I think this change would be met with a lot of excited customers who finally feel their suggestions and needs have been heard.

It would be great if fitbit were able to track the actual number of steps per hour.  I'd like to know how close I am to meeting the goal and also see on average how many steps per hours I'm getting in.

I completely agree. Love this idea

I'd like to always see the steps needed in the hourly reminder to move. Sometimes I just get an inspirational message which is kind of useless since I want to know if I have a few steps to go or the full 250.

Really good idea! I think that a lot of people would benefit of having this type of display. Love the picture that gives an ideas on how it will look like, it might be used to other models that have this feature too. Keep adding your ideas to the Community!

Yes, please show the current hourly count on the device. Or maybe the ability to choose additional notifications with steps left to go. Or update the app to show it. Thank you!

I vote yes on adding steps left for the hour to the Alta HR. Since the 10-minute message sometimes show that number, it's there someplace and just needs to be displayed! I must say I am a bit frustrated by these message boards. The "solution" to any problem of this type is "add it to the suggestions board", then we never hear anything from Fitbit, e.g. we're working on it, impossible to do, scheduled to June 2025, or whatever Fitbit thinks. Fitbit doesn't seem to be a very responsive company.

I just transferred from a Charge 2 HR to an Alta HR due to the size on my tiny wrist.  I certainly miss this option.  When it buzzes I have to walk til it buzzes, without knowing if I need 5 steps or 245...  This should be easy to add, just as on the Charge 2.  We know it is being tracked, and I'd like the xx/250 added to the screen if possible.

Yes! I would definitely want this!

This would be great for just the Alta, as well. I really need this on work days!

Suggestion for an update to the FitBit app:
Can we get the "250-step reminder vibration" accompanied with a pop-up notification on the iPad? I forgot the Charge 2 wristband buzzed a good third of the time.

I have an Alta. I would like to know every hour, at all times of the hour, how close I am to 250. That way, if I know I'm going to be sitting at 10:30, I can get my steps in before then. It doesn't help me to know I need more steps at 10:50. I also don't like just the reminder. I'd like to always know how many steps I need.

Please add this feature to the Alta HR, it is a great tool to have to keep you moving throughout the hour so you can meet your hourly goal.
