Don't allow users to create Fitbit accounts unless they have Fitbit devices

Fitbit should allow profile creation only for those users who has FitBit device. I'm seeing lot of fake profiles which send request and ask for things like cam chat, marriage, trading, binary and all other unnecessary things which are out of this platform. This annoys a lot as you need to keep on marking them as bad profile.

I’m happy to announce that I’ve seen very little “Scammers” friend request’ it may be that I don’t post as much as I used to & when I do I usually post in a “Private Group” which only ppl or friends in the group can view my post. If you post in “Open Groups” you’ll get many ppl viewing your post by the hundreds. I think we must be selective on ware we post. I’ve had so many “Scammers Friend Requests “ I now can recognize them fairly quickly & delete it. Also I’ve learned to be extremely careful on who I choose as a friend. I’ll check to see if the person is in any of my “Private Groups “ if they aren’t I don’t accept their friend request. Hopefully you find my tips helpful as you stay on your fitness journey & enjoy Fitbit Community.

I’d like to thank everybody that took the time to comment & share your experiences dealing w/ Scammers’ hopefully we all can learn new tools in handling these challenges & staying safe in our Fitbit Community. On a positive note I’ve had the pleasure of meeting & having some of the best friendships here on Fitbit’ for that I’m most grateful & for our Fitbit Community.  Stay safe healthy.

Sorry to see you go but Totally understand your reasoning behind it.
When my device dies it will be my last. ONLY way I will stay is if Major
changes are made. That Includes Not penalizing PAYING MEMBERS. Some of the
people are Not aware of the Spam problems, when we have posted about them
it is NOT to be an injury to the Spammer but to Educate the unsuspecting
Members of the Community about the dangers of them. Fitbit YOU should
understand this. Have You told ANYONE about this problem in the Community?
If you have I sure haven't seen it. Unfortunately that puts it in Our hands
to inform the Members of it. I Do know some people have went overboard and
said things to these spammers that do go against standards but so does
Everything the Spammers are doing. Make a choice between Spam or Paying
members.
PLEASE all we want is OUR SAFETY BACK on the APP.
