Do not remove Challenges & Adventures! A lot us use these features to motivate us and connect. My kids are able to connect and do challenges with their friends too.
I totally agree so frustrating that they have just removed the challenges, work week hustle and weekend warriors this is what made fitbit appealing and kept me with you. I'm so disappointed they just removed it I think they are going to lose a lot of loyal customer RIP FITBIT
I agree with everything everyone has said. The challenges kept my friends and I motivated and still be able to exercise together now that we are all spread over the country. I only bought the new fitbit versa because of the this, otherwise I would have gone with the apple watch.
Fitbit officially lost me as a customer today. Just a short while ago I placed an order for an Apple Watch Series 8, which will arrive via delivery on Wednesday. It was definitely a bit more expensive than getting/having a Fitbit, but I'm not going to continue giving Fitbit my support as a result of them getting rid of the challenges and adventures.
I agree with all of these comments. Please keep the challenges! I don’t care about badges but the challenges are SUPER motivating and a connection with other users. I convinced my partner to buy a fitbit just to play bingo and daily showdown with me. Love playing workweek hustle with my sister too. Very disappointed and see no reason to purchase any more fitbit products without access to these features.
This is what Fitbit told me “We understand all the frustration that all our customers have right now for this decision of the company, right now the company is working on a new feature like a Challenge.”
If they're working on a new feature like a Challenge they should at least have left the current ones until they have a new one to replace it with. It's so very disappointing. My Family/friends have now set up a Workweek Hustle in Stridekick.
Challenges saved the lives of many of my fitbit friends, ended insulin-dependent diabetes, and kept people in touch. Google, we want fitbit, not google. You promised "enhancements" and all we have seen is taking away and giving nothing. Gives us our challenges back now.
If you are going to "incorporate Google technology" then why strip out the features *now* before you are actually making the changes or improving the app? Sure, it would be nice if you rebuilt it so it uses Google Maps, but you could write the enhanced app first, and then switch it out, but instead, you are just pulling features away from the users that have been dedicated to Firbit.
Let's be honest, you are doing this because you can't have features that might make people choose the Fitbit rather than the Pixel watch.
All I can say about the whole thing is that it's a massive step back.
Fitbit Community being removed from the app along with challenges at this point makes no sense. It also removes the best and most important feature that made Fitbit stand out.
I don't know what C-Level Suits are thinking, nor do I care; for me the whole Google takeover has resulted in an inferior product and service.
Before, I could browse the app and look at the other food people made and get inspired to make better food choices. That's gone now.
Before, I could use the app, meet strangers in other countries and connect with them and get inspired. That's also gone now.
Fitbit's most important feature was not the features of the watch, but the COMMUNITY and CONNECTION it offered. To restrict both of those features is a big mistake.
Imagine a scenerio where before you had others to challege, compete, and connect with even if those around you were nothing but negative about your attempts to transform and better yourself. Now, you only have yourself -- what will the end result be? It's obvious what the end result will be:
1. Less encouragement means less attempts to better yourself
2. Less attempts to better yourself means less results from using Fitbit
3. Less result from Fitbit mean a negative evaluation of the service, and
4. A negative evaluation means Fitbit loses money
How C-Suits can't see that removing the ability to connect on a SOCIAL platform will result in a loss of money is beyond me. But hey, Google knows what's best...I'm sure that's why Stadia was so successful along with their other projects in the graveyard.
Everyone should download stridekick. It's a free app that allows you to create step, distance, and other challenges with your friends. It also has a habit tracker and the chat feature is much easier to use than fitbit.
Have you noticed now a majority of the « challenges are singular and only for premium users! I’m going to get an Apple Watch I believe . Google has broken my spirit . If you try Stride kick you can have group challenges
They have no intentions of making new challenges and will soon remove this forum so they can’t receive complaints. They keep hinting at new stuff but challenges are confirmed as a no go. They will not be brought back
The process has been less than forthright, lacks integrity and certainly is not customer centric. If indeed a new “better” product was forthcoming, they would have delayed the removal of the current system software, and sent out the “ digital party streamers”, celebrating the emerging future.
The reality is Fitbit was destined to become “spare” parts for google’s delayed entrance into the smartwatch market.
If google ran their search engine in the same manner as the “planned” FitBit update, they’d be out of business! The mediocre response from google to date, lacks transparency, and common sense.
