Do not remove Challenges & Adventures! A lot us use these features to motivate us and connect. My kids are able to connect and do challenges with their friends too.
I can't even sell my fitbit trackers now. The product has been devalued since you decided to remove the most used features... the only thing that kept most of us committed to fitbit.
Not only am I left with valueless tracker but also because I paid a year up front for my premium subscription with Google I can't get the remainder of that subscription refunded.
You have taken money from me to pay for the very services you took away... if I go to a store to buy milk the store doesn't normally turn up to pour the mill out and leave me with an empty carton! I'm next level angry you've ignored and abandoned your customers wants and needs from this service. I'd like my money back for the 3 versa 3 watches and 1 sense seeing as no one wants them now, I realize I have a snowballs chance in hell but worth asking.
First, to the monitor, I hope you don’t delete this and instead share it with the C-suites. As I’m sure they can’t read all the comments.
And secondly, to all of us who are upset, I think it’s more than just the loss of what we all loved, used, and enjoyed. I think it’s an added stress that we didn’t see coming.
In this world today with inflation at an all-time high, some are forced to move home, wondering if they’ll ever be able to purchase one, or maybe it’s not getting a raise or finding the right job. Whatever the case may be, we all have extreme amounts of stress! One thing that gave all of us relief – Fitbit challenges and adventures. Maybe it was with family members spread across the globe or with complete strangers who became online friends. Whether we just got our first Fitbit at Christmas or just purchased our 5th one - we enjoyed our walks “together” and the personal triumph of earning a new badge. It made us feel good about ourselves. And we made each other feel good as we cheered each other on.
Some of us will purchase other brands, while many of us don’t have the funds to make a change, and now we’re feeling stuck. As for me, it won’t stop me from walking, but I do feel kicked to the curb. To collect and get those cute little badges were great goals and fun stories… I once spent 4 hours doing stairs just to get 500 flights in. I miss my friends. And no I don’t want to open one more fitness app like stridekick.
Anyway, Google I leave you with this… as a mega-corporation, you’re automatically an industry leader. When making changes and enhancements if you’ve hurt so many, are you really leading? And who was it really good for? The users in this thread would tell you it wasn’t good for them.
Lizd1348 That is exactly how I feel. Very well said! I feel so sad I struggle to even open my Fitbit app. I have the stride app but it’s just not the same. To have no further response from ‘Fitbit’ (Google) is upsetting too.
Is there any way we can complain officially? I loved the challenges, our whole family competed and it was fun checking in with each other! Inspired increased fitness too, i don't use any of the other features in discover, but now I'm having to set other challenges manually for my own personal weight loss!
I did write to two real people several weeks ago, one was something like head of customer service, and didn't hear a word. It is in the hands of Google.
Stupid! Bring back challenges! My friends group are all leaving fitbit after 10 years. Why would you do this? Amazing how the larger the company gets the more tone-deaf it is to its customers. Boo.
If you look on where the challenges where it’s all premium users only , this is now a site for financial gain , they don’t lower the cost of the watches and now your charged to do exercises you can get for free on you tube , not very intelligent.
I think, the unfortunate reality we all must face is that fitbit is no more, this is now google. Have you noticed on the fitbit website, your friends leaderboard is gone? As other have pointed out under challenges, only premium remains. If I wanted Ifit, I would have set my brains aside and bought an apple watch. Fitbit was different, it was friends, it was family, it was not google wanting to be apple (and that is all you corporate asses are wanting). Google, I hope you understand, we have options that do not require you, we have influence that can impact your advertisers, and most importantly Google, we are all pissed beyond your belief. When my Charge5 dies, I will be thoroughly considering my options, when a google ad shows up, I will be seriously disregarding that vendor. I am a 57 million step fitbit member, I have been dedicated, repeat customer, and I am pissed, we all are pissed. We do not want google, we want fitbit - you are completely out of touch if you think you can shift fitbit to google and we all will worship your marketing asses insights. Get real and understand, you are clueless, we are pissed, and to date, there has not been a single google response to our concerns because you do not give a flying f^ck about us, but you will pay. John Kershaw (go ahead, block me, kick me out of the forum - what do I have to lose, you have already thrown it out with the garbage). I am waiting for a backbone in google to respond to the lengthy thread that is feed represents - does anyone at google have the balls to step up and explain, or are you simply telling us to piss off - your have your corporate strategy and customers don't matter, only clicks matter? Tell me, go ahead, I dare you......
