Don't remove Challenges & Adventures

Do not remove Challenges & Adventures! A lot us use these features to motivate us and connect. My kids are able to connect and do challenges with their friends too.

I have been on a journey that is getting successful and I love all the parts of fitbit that have helped motivate me.  I was just about to pull the plug and upgrade to premium, but if they are getting rid of features that we have had for years, what is the point? I am going to look into other options now I guess, open to suggestions.

The only reason my family and I chose Fitbit over other brands was because of the challenges. We do weekly challenges (and sometimes 2/3 in a week) to motivate us and keep in contact. If this is removed it’s the last FitBit watch I will be purchasing and atleast 2 of us will need new watches shortly. Please reconsider FitBit/Google. Off to research different watches in the meantime

Agreed, it’s the only reason my family chose Fitbit over others. New watches are needed shortly and if this decision isn’t changed we will be looking at other watches

I am so disappointed of the news of canceling the challenges and trophies! I do challenges every week to keep me and my friends accountable to staying active! Definitely considering switching smart watches if this does go through. Hopefully you come up with something just as awesome as the challenges you already have!

The daily push, the spirit of competition and being part of a community that gently keeps each other on their toes and give more purpose and will to exercise! It’s the main reason the majority of us stay with Fitbit! Taking challenges away? Just do that and you’ll be like any other cheap tracker, no reason to stick with you anymore. Think again…

Challenges with Friends & Family (Workweek Hustle & Weekend Warrior) are the only reason I used Fitbit. That friendly competition is the motivation. No Challenges = Goodbye Fitbit

Fitbit challenges with my group of friends are literally the only thing that keep me motivated during the week to reach my daily goals. Fitbit needs to keep them.

Challenges and social groups were 100% of why I chose Fitbit. If they eliminate these, I will buy an Apple Watch instead.

No good. After having every charge except 5, surge, and now sense, this will be the end of my loyalty to Fitbit if they go through with this.

So, this truly makes me angry and dismayed. My husband has been trying to get me to switch to an Apple Watch but I haven’t wanted to because I LOVE the social aspect of the challenges and groups with Fitbit. Friends MOTIVATE me. I do not exercise well without that motivation so, if I lose that my healthy lifestyle will suffer. Please Fitbit/Google, reconsider this move. You may find a lot of users jumping ship if you do this or don’t VERY quickly initiate something new and improved to replace it. I will be one of those users.

The announcement in the app tells how to talk to "friends" while they remove challenges.  There are plenty of social media platforms you can use to talk to people!  This one was special because it allowed you to actively participate together in getting fit without a bunch of nonsense.  It motivates people from all over the world to exercise together.  Does Google not make enough money from this so they are getting rid of it?  Your users would like to know-

I would like to echo so many of the voices here. Been using Fitbit since 2016 and have stuck with it for the features offered in the app despite the actual devices lacking durability and needing to be replaced near enough once a year.
Challenges are the main source of ongoing motivation for myself and my friends and family, even work colleagues, to keep active and go above and beyond the standard 10K. We always have several challenges going, workweek and weekend. We don't all live close together so this gives us a fun way to stay in contact. Some people live in different countries so we would never normally have the opportunity to speak and compete in real time in this way. Personally, this feature is highly valued.

If you have seen a decline in the number of people using the feature, it might be because you hid all the challenges inconveniently about 7 screens deep in an obscure menu (We use the 'rematch' button within the challenge to keep the ball rolling) and you put half of the available challenges behind a paywall.

Please, please, please reconsider the "sunsetting" of the Challenges feature.

No challenges, no more Fitbit. Why take it away?

This is super annoying, over the years, i have gifted Fitbit watch to my parents, husband, son and just ordered one for my eldest sister. I literally marketing Fitbit to my friends and colleague so they can join us in the challenge. And it will be removed??c’mon Fitbit! Not the challenges and trophies!

Devastated. One of the best features for motivation. And connecting to others. Consider this decision please.

I'm so disappointed with this decision. The challenges are the only reason I upgraded to Premium on FitBit. I've been using FitBit for nearly 10 years now and even made new friends with it. No challenges, no adventures, no trophies, no open forums. I'm not understanding the logic behind this. The only reason I can think of is that Google plans to come out with a new device that is interactive with all it's own technology that eventually phases out FitBit altogether. I'm sad. <sad face>

Please keep all that you are getting rid of in March 2023. Many of us look forward to the challenges, groups, trophies, etc. We motivate & inspire one another & have become like family. Joining Fitbit has been positively life changing for many of us. It just makes sense to keep these options available on Fitbit. What are your reasons for removing them? Please reconsider removing what makes Fitbit so great! Thank you for hearing us all out!

My first fitbit was a Flex, I have had various models since & am currently using a Sensa. I briefly stopped using a fitbit when I changed to an applewatch but quickly switched back exclusively for the challenges feature. If the challenge option will no longer be available, I will no longer be inclined to continue purchasing fitbit products as that was my main draw to the company vs. apple.

Everyone loves the challenges, especially the BINGO. All the fitbit pages are filled with fitbit users ready to jump ship because the contests are going away.

Help! I’m glad so many are outraged at the removal of challenges, but my email Inbox is being inundated with hundreds of emails — does anyone know how to stop this?

I just bought my kids two Fitbit Aces THIS WEEK so we could do family challenges! I never would have bought them if I knew this. I donchallenges every single week with my friends, and so does my husband. Challenges are the main reason I've stayed with Fitbit, and they are the ONLY reason I pay for premium (because I love Fitbit Bingo). Please,.please reconsider about the challenges!!

Since you are, for some reason beyond understanding, getting rid of features like challenges and open groups, you should create new features to encourage people to retain customers.
