Don't remove Challenges & Adventures

Do not remove Challenges & Adventures! A lot us use these features to motivate us and connect. My kids are able to connect and do challenges with their friends too.

It's very poor and the challenges is why I use Fitbit and have done for over 10 years and have purchased, Zip, Ultra, One, Charge, Charge 2, Charge 3, Charge4 and Charge 5...Clearly I should of saved my money and purchased cheaper brands or ones with challenges! Fitbit, rethink this or loose out 😟

They better not get rid of challenges and trophies. I'll need to find a company's product that does offer these features. This is a terrible idea.

I can’t believe they are taking this feature away! It’s literally the reason I chose Fitbit over other brands. Without the Fitbit challenges I don’t know that I would, my family and friends run challenges weekly and it helps us all move more!

Fitbit seemingly has jumped the shark. The removal of stairs climbed in the Charge5 and now this. I’m done with them.
my Charge5 died a month before warranty was up, while waiting the the replacement, I went back to my charge4. The replacement charge5 has never been opened. Much prefer the charge4.

6 months ago I replaced my Fitbit…there are much better nicer watches on the market but the competitions and great groups (mainly the vegetarian group for recipes) kept me with Fitbit. I would NEVER have brought this one had I of known….and definitely not a Google watch now.

Same here.  I have a group of friends I met through Fitbit. We live in different time zones. We have never met in person.  We have been doing daily walking goals challenges for YEARS!  I believe we are up to 5 years now. This has been thru cancer scares, injuries, weddings and everything in between to encourage each other to keep the faith and keep walking.

*IF* they are replacing challenges and adventures with something, they should let us know. This would calm most people and give us something to look forward to. Just "integrating with Google's tech" isn't good enough.

For example, "we're getting rid of Fitbit's challenges and replacing it with a new app and features that include even more challenges and adventures."

If that won't be the case (maybe that's why they are not announcing it) I found a good replacement with another company and it sounds like a lot of users are doing the same.

After all, in an article by The Nerd Stash, they stated that the challenges have been copied by other smartwatch companies:

"The challenges and open groups, which had millions of members, have been copied by nearly every other smartwatch and fitness-tracking platform, and rightfully so."

Hey FitBit/Google— It will be a HUGE disappointment if you remove the challenges feature! Seriously. Not only is this the best part of your gadget, and my week— I even bought them as Xmas presents this year to help encourage others! (Not to mention the dozens of others I’ve upsold on your products to be apart of our challenges)  Like many long time users have stated (since 2012) removing this feature removes the best part of your platform & the reason to upgrade to your future products!!!

Let me add the 301st Comment to this thread.  My story is simply that in 2015 (62yo).  I weight 302 lbs.  I joined Fitbit in Jan 2016 and have lost 136lbs.  I use daily challenges with Bingo & Step goals.  I am thankful that through Fitbit I joined a Daily Step Goal  group of folks. I have never met these people in person.  When I started I could not walk 2000 steps in a day.  Our little group has been together for 7 years!.  I got up to 10,000 steps per day, but I am almost 70 now and have dropped it back to 8000 steps/day.  Our group has been through job changes, cancer, weddings, birthdays and all life events in between.  Surely there is a way to negotiate with GOOGLE to keep Premium with some sort of challenge.

Keep  the challanges and adventures..maybe look at other thing that arent being used to make room for more or diffrent challenges. Personally I enjoy seeing were I and my fellow fitbiter rank, even if its not in the top 3...it make me want to work that much harder next time.

I'm in a closed fitbit group and  we're trying Stridekick out, some of the ladies who are in the group have Android phones and don't want to switch to an iPhone, since I just got a new android phone a few months ago  I  definitely  don't want to switch.  I  also have family members who have a Samsung galaxy Smart watch and they challenge each other. I definitely won't upgrade my fitbit unless challenges stay

Please keep the challenges feature! I've been a member since 2013 and this is the biggest reason I stick with Fitbit over any other fitness tracker/watch. I love the community aspect.

I canceled my Premium subscription but would reconsider if it meant  that we could have Challenges of some kind.  As long as my fitbit works I will continue to use it  but won't upgrade if there aren't any kind of Challenges. Fitbit and Google need to pay attention to what users want and the message boards.

I will go with an Samsung Galaxy Smart watch after my Fitbit breaks. No reason to stay with Fitbit after you take away your most unique features.

I have been a FITBIT user since 2013 and I have upgraded many times.  What has kept me with FITBIT are the challenges and the history.  I love that I can compete with family and friends even when we can't be together.  What has also kept me using FITBIT is the years of history I have compiled and can look back on, not only to see when I passed a milestone but what my next goal is.  Without these perks I will have no reason not to switch to Apple.  please reconsider.

I totally agree with you, I've been here since May 2013 and Fitbit clearly don't care anymore about the Customer experience. 😞

Terrible terrible idea. A major USP for the Fitbit app. Unless these are maintained or replaced with something similar this Will be my last Fitbit and I’ve been wearing them for years. I won’t go to a google watch either, parent company overlords.

I am in agreement with many others.  Challenges were the only reason that I use Fitbit products.  Without them, I will look for another brand of fitness tracker that I will suggest to my friends so we can keep the weekly challenges going.  It is the best way for me to stay motivated to keep moving each week.  Without them, Fitbit products aren't worth it.

I missed having a fit bit fir the last 18 months so bought a sense 2 5 days ago for the challenges and adventures to keep me motivated and now fitbit announce this bombshell. Why would they pull these unless they have something absolutely spectacular to replace it. I'm so gutted

So disappointed to hear this news. We are a group of 6 friends from across North America who have been doing the weekly challenges for many many years. Please reconsider.

My friends and I do the workweek hustle every week.  It keeps us motivated  to keep moving. I had just purchased a new Inspire 3. The announcement of the challenges removal came the day new new FitBit arrived. I returned it. My friends and  are looking for another Fitness tracker. I also cancelled my Premium membership.

Bingo Challenge is literally the only reason why I pay for premium. Such sad news. I'm 100% cancelling my membership on March 27th.
