Do not remove Challenges & Adventures! A lot us use these features to motivate us and connect. My kids are able to connect and do challenges with their friends too.
The Challenges and Adventures were community building among friends and family who knew me but not necessarily each other. Our kids were also able to connect in a safe and fun way. Many of my friends are disabled and we were able to cheer each other on in a positive and lovely way that is now gone. This feature was the big selling point when trying to get folks I know to buy FitBits, why would you remove this with no actual explanation? We are all so sad about this change, and really, not moving as much without the weekly cheering and camaraderie and healthy competition! PLEASE bring it back!!
I agree this really seems short-sided. I purchased FitBits for my mom and MIL to help them be more active. We tried last week just to track ourselves, but without the real-time comparison it is not very motivating. I don't understand why removing such a popular unique feature is an improvement.
I am afraid we will be looking elsewhere if there is not a replacement soon. That would be a shame since I got my first FitBit way back when you had to dock it to sync with a computer.
FitBit challenges are a very important part of my system and they encourage me to exercise and keep fit. I’m only a kid and i think that challenges are super fun and interactive. Please, bring them back because they help all of us remember to have fun and exercise. Signed, A Fan Of Workweek Hustles
Do they want to loose business, or will they eventually return? They were one of the best features to keep people motivated to get there steps, so I see no positive in deleting them.
Right!! The only reason I haven’t gotten an Apple Watch all these years was solely so I could stay in challenges with my family. Now I guess I’ll just get an Apple Watch when they go on sale next or this fit bit dies. Whichever comes first. My Fitbit’s have been dying faster and faster with each new model so I’m sure it won’t be long but now I have no motivation to stick with Fitbit.
So dissapointed with this decision to remove challenges. I was always fitbit and then was bought an apple watch with a new phone so changed over. always missed the challenges and adventures on fitbit so recently moved back to engage with challenged to see it has now been removed. think they will lose a lot of customers over this decision, im so dissapointed.
Well I would have to say that the challenges were not 'under-utilized'....Fitbit will be just another watch that you can't see in the summer! Garbage..,shame on you Fitbit...and you are still selling them under false pretences🤯
Agreed. It wasn’t under utilized, my entire family and then some used it every single week! I agree with others, after ten years this is probably my last fitbit.
It's more like let's hope Google fixes it, but very unlikely given that google is coming with a new option in 2024 with the intention that Fitbit users merge with this new technology. No more Google and Fitbit for me.
When I saw Google had bought Fitbit, I initially was excited. However after a month and still no badges or challenges back - my work and I have all cancelled our premium accounts. There is no point to Fitbit now. It is simply a step counter (which phones do anyways). I miss cheering on others and it motivated me to be more healthy.
Looking into Apple watches - Has anyone made the switch? Curious if they have challenges you can do with your workplace and friends?
@catsnpizza - I made the switch to and bought an Apple Watch a month ago. I got an Apple Series 8 watch, which is the second to least expensive watch that they have. I'm not entirely sure if they have challenges that you can do with your workplace and friends, but if you download the Stridekick app, you can sync pretty much any tracker or smart watch to that app and then do challenges with your workplace and friends.
